My, my it's been a week, huh? Where did the time go? how time sure flies by so fast when you're havin' fun. I'm still here, people. please bear with me as I visit all your blogs one by one. I really appreciate all the daily visits you guys give. It's been a hectic week. I'm finishing a lil project of mine here, so crosses fingers hopefully it will be done by the next week or so. I shopped for Nathan's school stuff last night and got it all on sale at Walmart and Kmart. I am so excited for my lil pumpkin to go to school, the emotions I feel right now are overwhelming, I tell ya. there's a lil bit of bad news though, Aliamanu elementary declined our Geographic exception application, so he will be entering his home school which is Salt lake elementary. Well, its not bad at all, it's pretty nice over there I may say, the school close to the mountains so they have a pretty good breeze coming down on their school. I just wish all will be well with Nathan's first day of school. I'll blog again tomorrow... Oh my goodness, I've just stumbled upon this website that sells boots! well, not stylish boots for us women, but work boots! yes, work boots for men, hardworking men who needs the best footwear for their work. I gotta tell hubby dearest about this website, well he doesn't really buy stuff online, he'd rather buy it in personal where he can get to wear it, try it on for size, he has to make sure it's the right thing. my hubby is a picky one when it comes to work shoes, we usually buy it at one of the stores here, he loves to pick those light brown suede kind like that Wolverine Work Boots you see at their website, he needs a great pair of steel toe shoes that's for sure. needs the exact measurements and all that since he really has big feet. This will be for Week of May 25 = Outdoor, I had a great time finishing this LO, it just reminds me of our island home Hawaii. I don't have any good recent outdoor pics just yet, so that will do.

I have been so busy with work lately, everytime I come home I get so lazy to open my laptop I usually cuddle with hubbykins and my son, chit chat with my family and just go out when I'm off, we watch movies, shop... today and tomorrow will be my days off woohoo! but I have other plans, like fixing my picture albums, cleaning the house.. you know, doing productive stuff. me and my mom are into crochet lately. months ago I bought a yarn ball and a purple hook, she found it hidden under the bathroom cabinet, when I went home one day she finished it within hours, that's when she realized she wanted to crochet again. So we bought her some yarn balls at walmart, she finished 2 blankets so far, one was baby pastel colors, and the other one she's finishing right now is for our living room sofa bed, a combination of dark blue and light blue yarn. I bought a pair of wooden bamboo sticks for knitting and the color I am using is a combination of darn pink and browns. I'm going to make a large bag, I just hope it turns out good, I even borrowed a knitting book at the library =D.

I'm learning how to knit, I only how to crochet eversince back in the 5th grade for our HE class., but knitting with 2 sticks, not yet. so far I only know how to do a slipknot and the cast on. Do you guys know any great videos that teach knitting in a very slow mode? the videos I watch at youtube are really fast, I can't seem to get it. I'm really eager to learn! anybody?

Well, let me tell you about our lil bus adventure that happened some a weeks ago. We tried using the Bus, got on bus # 3 RUGER/KOKOHEAD and dropped us off close to Ala Moana Blvd. at restaurant row, it was such a nice feeling catching the bus, to us it was an adventure! After the movies, we watched Horton hears a Who, which was a great kiddie cartoon by the way, We went back to the street and waited for bus # 3 again. It did came but goodness, We caught the wrong bus! It took us to a lot of places like Waialae, Diamond head, KOKOHEAD. it stopped somewhere I wasn't sure were. Hubby got nervous and was anxious to pick us up if we got stranded. The driver was kinda in a bad mood, my mom whispered "hmphhh ugaling pinoy!" then I just made a face, glad he didn't make us pay since the bus offered at least one free transfer. We did manage to get back in Salt lake, were we live and hubby drove at the end of our street, picked us up coz it was raining so hard! Lesson I learned that day: Always call the bus for directions! We plan on catching the bus again next time, and for sure we'll call the bus for the bus # 3 Salt lake route.

My father-in-law forwarded an email from a family friend who just got married around May 10 in Subic. a hoax or not, be warned that we must be careful always whenever we book at hotels, we must make sure to read reviews and ratings for the best service we can get. I have never seen this hotel before, but I knew it was still under construction when I was still there years ago. It's a pretty nice hotel based from pictures of friends who went there for vacations. but this email really bothered me... I'm not discouraging you to stay at this Hotel but just be extra careful, it can also happen at any HOTEL out there, shame on the security staff they had for it weren't for their carelessness this would've had happened. how sad it is for these newlyweds...

Subic is a great place, I actually grew up there so I am still inviting everybody to visit Olongapo City, Subic bay (my hometown). My dad who was a retired Navy always took us to inside base where we visit ships and carriers and meet family friends who were still in the Navy. I miss that place though... wish I can go back. I'll continue blogging on memory lane maybe later... so stay tuned! me and mom are gonna drive around town using THE BUS.

hello, saturday

my SIL just sent a box filled with chocolates, cookies, shirts and the PSP for hubby and Nate, today the other box arrived which is the XBOX, I tell ya they have all kinds of video game consoles you can think of. they're pretty updated every time a new one comes out. now, they usually pass it onto us, for my son, hubbykins and bro plays video games most of the time. definitely not me. I'm no gamer. here's Nate seriously playing.



I was setting up the internet connection on our PSP, had some troubles on it coz hubbykins was too darn lazy to help me, so somehow tinkering it a bit helped. read a few tips on the net, the best way was to do a hard reboot on our linksys wireless router for about 30 seconds or so, and when I connected... ta-da! yayy, finally!



I can finally browse the net without turning on my laptop, weeeee! I can read my messages whenever I want to. cute! anyways, I forgot to mention how our mothers day went. pretty cool. nothing much happened, except I was at work. a lot of people didn't know I was a mom! they kept on greeting the elderly ones, and the others were like.. "Kit, you're a mom, right? oh sorry we didn't know!" and then they'll all start hugging me, so funny. a lot of people, mostly students thought that I'm just a regular student, which I'm not. They'll be so surprised like whaaaaaaat??? You would think they've never met a young mom before. hello, I'm 25, not that young anymore. sheesh.

hubby promised that he'll take me to Vegas one of these days. for now, we don't have time, since we are dealing with a lot of important things it's hard going on vacation. and plus, you need money for that trip! flight benefits are ok, but you still need money to spend while your there, right? so yeah, I am pretty excited. I've always dreamed of visiting that city of lights, I don't want to go there because of the casinos and everything, but I heard it's such a nice place to visit, the breathtaking views, buildings, shopping, and restauranyts as well as non stop shows. and according to hubby, you will do a lot of walking, which I really love plus I would love to take plenty of pictures. goodness, I wish we had all the time in the world. maybe someday. we just need to wait for the right time before we plan ahead on going to Vegas, I think it's nice to go there along with relatives, it will be pretty cool with more people, don't you think? I am considered a bookworm since an earlier age. The past few months I haven't been visiting the library much, I sure miss reading books, When I met niece she was about 9 or 10 at the time, she reminded me of myself. she was always buried in her book at all times. and when there's no school, her mom has a hard time getting her out of bed, because her nose was always buried in a book, truly a bookworm. even today's present time she just loves reading. I think reading is very good. I am trying so hard to teach my son how to read, and as much as possible I am teaching him how to love and care for his books. Just recently I purchased a book written by my favorite writer, It sure feels good to be back reading again. just finding that special time of day to devote yourself to read a few pages just makes me feel good, that contentment inside just came out in the middle of nowhere. I love books. who doesn't? Like what my niece had said, "The lost art of reading" I am starting to read at least 3 books in a month. I have to start visiting the library again. Thank you for all the birthday greetings, guys!! sorry, I couldn't get back at y'all. I was supposed to share a lot of videos but Vimeo is taking too darn long to convert my video, there's only one for now . maybe a few pics of us on my birthday, too.. well the day before my birthday where we just spent some time at the park, just drove around town, doing the usual stuff, just decided to watch a movie "fool's gold" which was really funny, I love kate Hudson and Matt, really funny movie.

I worked on my special day, I know.. silly me didn't request a day off for the 6th. but anyways, it was a cool day. my mom, brother and Son went to see Cirque Dreams, which is a 90 minute acrobatic show at the Blaisdell center last night while I was at work. We picked them up around 9:30 pm, according to them the show was great! not bad, my brother got the free tickets at the Hospital, pretty cool. too bad we weren't there, though.

When I hear Hilton, it reminds me of that popular fashionable heiress we see on tv all the time. Now when we talk about HILTON, it sure is a popular last name, not to mention the greatest I've seen so far. My sister in law had tried most of their hotels and she is quite impressed, Well I know she's telling the truth because she has a great taste with good things. boy, I would sure love to go on a vacation at the Hilton Head Island, that would be so great. Sea Pines rentals is a nice vacation rental property especially if you are a beach lover, They're located close to the ocean, it depends though the rate will be much lower if it is more further away from the ocean. what a day

That was yesterday. We had a tent sale out on the parking lot for 2 days and I went to work around 4pm. Little did I know that the parking lot was swarmed with people! Well guess what time we finished work? 12:30 Am, I'm so glad we didn't go overboard like 2 am like before. We're supposed to go home around 10:30 but since we had mountain piles of coupon bags, tills, partials (mind you, there was ony 2 of us) you can't expect us to finish right away with all the other distractions coming in, like the refunds, phone calls, fixing cashier errors, balancing the safe, price checks, troubleshooting the machines, we're running all over the place like chickens without heads! that's the reason why I always wear pants and shirts at work plus rubbershoes coz we run around all the time, trying to finish everything as we can. I'm telling you we don't get paid much in our area, not to mention when there's no manager's available we have to deal with customer complaints. goodness.

But you know what, eventhough I don't have a professional job, it's all worth it. The pay is pretty fine to me. I learned to be more patient, I meet a lot of great customers, meet a lot of good friends at work... When I cried I stood up and just forget about it, it is time to move on inspite of the trials that came my way. I learned how to say I CAN DO IT. we do get stressed about it... but what can we do? I'm pretty sure all jobs are as stressful as mine. We learn from our mistakes, we just laugh out loud with the problems we encounter. There is no EASY job. No matter how hard your job is, you have to learn how to say thank you coz you HAVE a job.

I'm quite contented on where I'm at right now. I don't really dream big. I dream of going back to school, but that'll be later, it's never too late to go back to school. It's so funny like my former manager a few years back when she moved to Virginia, I wouldn't forget the day she told me, I had a potential on becoming part of the management staff. One day, she told me someday I would move on to the top, I remembered I just got promoted at that time, she told me it was only the beginning and I have to work my way up really hard. strive harder to achieve it. She was right, everything will fall into it's place someday. I'm eyeing on a position right now, I actually applied for it, I doubt I will get it though since I am just working at our place for almost 5 years now. My co-worker buddy will sure get it since she's been working for DECA for about 10 years now. promotions are slow since nobody wants to give their positions up. But that's ok, If I don't get it then that's ok. I'm still happy, all I have to do is just wait for another position to open up.

When my niece came for a visit she always mentioned how good JabbaWockeeZ were, I saw the last competition were they did the dance challenge using Omarion's Ice box song. I say, they were pretty good! I just love how they did their moves, everybody at work were routing for them, I guess they did it, their hard work paid off. I knew they'd win, Their moves are pretty good. I love watching dance competitions ever since I can remember. When I'm by myself in our room I usually dance, It's like an exercise for me, you get to move most of your body parts, and I really love it. If only hubby can dance with me...

As I mentioned in my previous post, I love watching Jon and Kate plus 8 on TLC, too bad I can't really see their show anymore. I miss that show! For those of you who are in the states you know what show I'm talking about, for those of you who are clueless they're a family consists of mommy and daddy with a set of twins and a set of sixtuplets. After their wedding Kate wanted to have a baby right away she was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) she needed help to get pregnant. So after checking in with a fertility doctor they had a set of twins, not long after she wanted another one, and yes she had a tough time but will you look at that.. instead of giving her one more, God gave her 6 more! incredible. They were offered to have a show on TLC, and some other guestings on tv. that helped them a lot for their family expenses. Jon works full time while Kate quits her Nursing Job to be a fulltime mommy, which she says it's ok coz with Nursing profession you can always go back whenever you want.

See, God works in mysterious ways. Like for example you are a family living on one income and within a minimun wage, then you have a family of 10 for example, I know God doesn't give you that life to be crappy. You have to enjoy what God gives you. because he knows you WILL try to find a way to live.

I'm watching this family reality show on tv, She's a mom of a set of twins and sixtuplets, can you just imagine that, huh? So anyway, I just adore her family very much and I can't believe how she gets her family organized. her secret? lots of notes! yes, you heard that right. she posts notes on the refrigerator, in the laundry room, just about anywhere you can think of. with a big family just like hers, and for other families that are a lot more bigger, you just need that perfect daily planner for your whole family. like that one at chorecharts.com, it's really nice to write out chores on home made charts, but do you think you'll have the time to do all that? life is so short

My brother just informed us that his cancer came back again. this time it's the 3rd bump! The one from his shoulder vanished then it sprouted once again in his back shoulder. (gasp) When is this going to stop? I feel so sorry for my bro, if only he can stop the sickness this minute.. but that's life. we're just praying and praying not losing hope now.

Speaking of sickness, I want to express my sympathy to my co worker's brother who died from Leukemia. She went to San Fancisco to undergo a bone marrow transplant for her brother since she was the closest match to him. after a few weeks we asked how her bro was doing, she said he was fine, but yesterday we found out that he passed away. it gives me the chills just thinking about it.

Life is indeed short, so we have to make the most of it by showing our love to our loved ones before it's too late. Now It reminds me of that song from the Moffatts.

what's to be thankful for?

A lot of things, that's for sure. happy Tuesday

Yay, it's blogging time once again. how's everyone doing? for us here we're doin' fine, it's just one heck of a day, if you ask me. seriously now, It was a great day for us since I was off, can you believe this is my only day off after working 7 days straight? yeah. bummer. I'm off to work again tomorrow, blehh.. but I only work 12 to 6:30 since the store is doing inventory, so yay for that.

all we did today was watch Smallville, yes oh yes we're Smallville fanatics hubby finally completed his Smallville dvd collection, I can't believe that the season 6 costs around $54, but that's ok, it was worth it anyway. glad Walmart had the rest of the seasons for $19.99 each, isn't that great?? love it! I know some of you don't like smallville, but what can we do, right? Everybody has their own taste of tv shows. It's just so fun to watch, the whole family's hooked on it! Can't wait for season 7 dvd to come out since we don't have CW on tv.

Notice our skin being tan? We visited Hawaiian waters last April 7 and it was so much fun, I tell ya! after that day my body just ached so bad, but I loved it so much. When they left a few days later I dropped about 5 lbs. not bad, I didn't need to starve myself. notice me being so chubby in the pics? terrible! (sniff) so far I dropped a total of 13 lbs. wish me luck that I can lose more. =D yesterday while shopping I was wearing a denim skirt my hubby noticed that I was kinda losing weight, I guess you can't really see it now since 13 lbs. is way too little.. but of course I'll just post a pic of a before and after pic when I lose a lot. (sighh)

and oh, I'd like to extend my congrats to Scart for giving birth to a healthy cute and adorable baby girl, here's to you (cheers) Welcome Freya Ysabel! and to Valerie for having another adorable niece in her family. =D but wait, Monica also just gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Mikaela! welcome to the world, babies!

acne misery

I experienced severe acne when I was around 12 I think, it was just one morning when I realized my forehead were full of those lil red bumps, kinda like a rash. so terrified because I didn't know what to do, scared to know that one day I'll end up having terrible skin, I tried washing my face everyday, but nothing seems to be working. but according to my mom it's part of growing up. I then realized when I was 14 it stopped, and I had clear skin again. That was terrible though. Up to now I get acne once in awhile, I have very oily skin and I hate it when I have to deal with it. That's why I'm careful on what I put on my skin, and I'm thankful after all these years after all the creams I've bought nothing really compares to the products I use now. But sometimes in order for me to stop complaining about acne I have to think about the people who has worse skin problems than mine. I'm very keen with lightings, seriously, I really do. I just love how it gives this very nice effect in our homes, It gives a touch of style on just about anything. I'm ba-ack!

hello, friends! It's been a long time since I've had my last post. I missed blogging very much. Well, my SIL and the kids just left yesterday morning and we couldn't really get over it that they're back in Korea now. They'll be leaving Seoul I think around June or July to move to San Diego. We really miss them so much. They arrived around April 3rd, and I'm telling you it was shopping galore for them. We had such a great time wishing they would just stay with us.

I felt really bad for my son coz when they left I could really see the sadness in his eyes, I had to drop them off at the airport, I myself felt so emotional when I hugged the kids and my SIL. I treat my SIl like my very own sister, I never had an elder sister before so everytime they left we would be very sad. my son had a great time playing with his cousins, they would joke around with a lot of stuff, play games, go on the computer, they would fight a lil bit but then would play again later. my mom and my brother are very fond of the kids coz they love games very much and they are great comedians, too. Minute after minute is like happy time, you know, they often joke around, that's why I love them very much, so is my SIL, when you get together she will seriously kill you with her jokes. speaking of my SIL she's finally hooked into blogging, pls visit her @ http://readmyblog-2good2btrue.blogspot.com

My SIL and the kids are coming! how exciting this is! the last time they were here was around 2006, we surely miss them so much. Let's face it, Grandfather clocks can have this mysterious image no matter how beautiful it is! When I was a kid I was always afraid of certain clocks like that because first of all it was always used in scary movies like when the clock hits 12 midnight that's when strange things happen. When you start to hear that gong sound, it's so eerie when you think about it. When I visit family friends homes I see they have a lot of different kinds of Wall clocks, they are just too simple and classy for me, I really love it. for me, I think a home is not complete without a grandfather clock. It may be a little bit big, but it just gives that classy look of a home, and I love my home to be bit classic and modern at the same time.
