happy 2010!!!

In just 4 hours we'll be celebrating 2010. In just a few minutes we're on our way to my hubby's cousin's place, we decided to spend our New year's eve there. Tomorrow we'll be at Universal Studios, hubby and my SIL got us all yearly passes! (woo-hoo!)

I am thankful for a lot of stuff this year... Thank you, God...

Hope everyone will have a safe and prosperous new year. Peace, Love and happiness to all! cheers!

Justice served

I am so glad our rear bumper has been finally fixed. Thank God for that, because It wasn't really our fault. A few days after the accident, We saw our neighbor's car - and his rear bumper all fixed. He knew that it was indeed his fault, because In my opinion if it wasn't my fault I would wait until the investigation was over so I can claim the insurance on what needs to be done, I am not paying out of the pocket to fix my damages. It took them long enough though, It wasn't hard to see that It was the old man's fault, he wasn't looking on his right side when he was backing up. At least, justice was served (LOL) Our Insurance did a great job. Speaking of insurance, I need to head on over to wholesaleinsurance.net to get some life insurance quotes, I might find something good so I can tell hubby about it.

christmas decors

SIL had already decided for the color theme of her tree next year: Blue and White. That would be fabulous, don't you think? If we had our own home to decorate It, this is what my home would look like.

- I'd like to have a tall Christmas tree with all the ornaments you can think of, store bought and home made in the living room area with a Christmas skirt and presents all around. :)

- There would be a basket sitting in the living room table filled with Christmas cards that We've received from everyone. Cinnamon sticks wrapped in silver ribbon and balls would fill the air with that Christmassy feel.

- In the fireplace, if there's one - on top would be a Christmas garland, pine cones, white candles, Christmas balls, holly berries, and the monogrammed Christmas stockings.

- We would have a snowman and Santa stuffed toys close to the tree.

- Christmas towels in the kitchen and some red candles with some holly berries in the dining area on a Christmas table runner.
- Some clear Christmas lights outside the porch.

- A christmas wreath with red ribbons and holly berries hanging in front the door.

- If we have a two storey home, I'd like to have some Christmas garland wreath lined up on the stairs with Christmas balls and Red ribbons.

I think that's about it. I don't really like lining up the house with Christmas lights, because I don't want to end up with a huge electric bill, that's for sure.

When we visited my hubby's cousin last week I fell in love with their home because of how it was decorated. Upon our arrival, we noticed some lighted candy canes on the bushes. When we walked up to their front door, there were 3 white candles sitting on sprigs of evergreen were flickering in front of the window. And There were 2 miniature Christmas trees sitting by the door, one on each side, wrapped with clear christmas lights.

Their living room had a huge fresh tree adorned with elegant ornaments. There were monogrammed Christmas stockings in the fireplace, clear Christmas lights were wrapped around the fireplace and A tall clear glass was filled with gold Christmas balls. (sigh) I can't wait to have our own home where I can decorate it the way I want it to be. Now that Christmas is over, It's almost time for the new year!

so sicky

For the past few days ever since my cold started when we were in Disneyland my whole family got sick, too. My little boy woke up with a fever, so we gave him a sponge bath and kept on giving him Tylenol. So far he's OK now after taking a nap this afternoon, thank God. It's hard getting sick nowadays. I'm just glad we had our flu shots done we don't have to worry about anything. I guess it's my fault, even If I had the cold I had to go along the Grizzly river run at California Adventure. We were soaking wet after that ride. I was in my worse state when we were in line at Toy Story Midway Mania (I enjoyed that one!) I was miserable because I wasn't feeling well so we went home at 4:30. I couldn't stand the whole trip because of my watery eyes and clogged up nose. Well, I need to finish up a few things online but I need to read more information about the Medicare supplement at Gomedigap.com I might refer some people someday, It will be sure useful.

Mele Kalikimaka (Merry Christmas)

Before Christmas day ends I would like to make a toast to all my dear friends for putting up with me these past years, I am thankful for a lot of things and that Includes meeting new people, bonding more with my family and continuing the Love and friendship that is all around us. I'd like to express my feelings but I'd rather save it for the last post of the year before we enter 2010. We had a great day yesterday, Attended the 7 pm mass and went on our way to the Christmas party. We had loads of fun and went home around 2 am. As sleepy as we all were, we managed to opened all our gifts and took family pictures at the end of the night. It was indeed a great Christmas. I was a bit sad when I was in church, though - I miss my brother Gully so much, if only he were here with us celebrating Christmas... I am thankful we got to spend his first Christmas with us back in 2007. I wanted to break down and cry but instead I prayed very hard because I know wherever he is right now he is a happy contented person. He's the reason why our lives changed and I think he might have talked to God about that. And speaking of lives changing - We visited my mom this morning and we were all happy, but that's another story so let's save it for another day. :) I hope you guys had a great time celebrating Christmas with your families as well.

Merry Christmas and to all a goodnight!

deck the halls

After visiting Disneyland last Oct. 31st, 2009 - we are about to go there again tomorrow! We all purchased the Deluxe pass and It was sooo worth it! We're just going to pay $60+ for the 3 of us every month for about a year, how great is that? I'm off tomorrow and We'll be leaving by 5 Am, we'll be spending another great day at the happiest place on earth. :D For sure we'll be back there again in a few months. Hopefully we can go to Orlando some other time. We're also planning on a trip to LA sometime soon, As well as San Francisco, too. :) If you haven't seen the Disneyland photos yet, come on over to facebook!

Our home is all decked out for christmas, how about you? my SIL and I decorated the tree with the theme of black and Gold, in honor of the Steelers ;). I haven't finished my christmas cards yet, boy - I am soooo behind as always.

You can't really appreciate the tree because of the flash, I'll post a christmas pic of us the next time. Anyhoo, I gotta head on to dreamland before the hubby wakes up and finds out I'm still online (LOL).

Hope you guys have a wonderful christmas and a happy joyous new year!!! :)

Reese and Kit-kat

Guess who I met last night?? It was my old blog friend, Reese! She entered the commissary around 7:45 pm 15 minutes until closing time, she was with her hubby and her cutie son. I finally met her! we b after a foth hugged. After a few years on keeping in touch online I finally met the loving, sweet Reese! I knew I would meet her someday. Too bad none of us had cameras on us plus I was working and she was in a hurry. I would hope to see her again someday and maybe have lunch with her or something. Nice to meet you, sis Reese! I'm so gald to meet you finally in person. :) She's my 2nd online friend that I've met in person and they're both military wives.

christmas breeze

I was off today, can you imagine that? my first weekend off since I started at work. I was very lucky and privileged to be given a sunday off. So We hit it off at an early start today, went to church around 9 am and after that went somewhere in Balboa and ate at a chinese restaurant, we pigged out on shrimp! :) anyways, after that we went to Fashion Valley and shopped for some christmas gifts. Victoria's secret was packed! Also went to Bath and Body works to buy some scented candles. We got home around 4:15 pm and my sister-in-law finally decided to bring out the tree (a bit late but still OK), and in about 2 hours we finished decorating the house. It's about partially done, We still need some Gold ornaments for the tree as well as some gold ribbon. This year they've decided their theme would be black and Gold (They love the steelers - ;) ) I decorated the wreath with red ribbons and SIL found a spot to hang it outside the door. My niece had also set up the Manger scene which was sooo cute. SIL assembled the tree and hung up the stockings, we needed 2 more to make it 6. We'll probably drop by Walmart to purchase some more christmas items. I am so behind my online tasks, I need to check out some Cyber Monday deals they have at Buy.com It might give me some more gift ideas I need to buy for family and friends.

Christmas wishlist 2009

Well, well, well... we've come across again for another yearly wishlist talk. As you all know I have my wishlist and I know, I know... I won't be getting all these in just one time. So to satisfy the shoppaholic in me I only have a few in mind and here they are:

The top of the list is a digital SLR camera. It could be a Nikon or Canon rebel. :)

second, A Sony - Reader Touch Edition Digital Book. So I can have all my ebooks with me and I can read anywhere at anytime. sweet. :)

Third, a Cricut machine! but I promised myself I will only get this when we have our own home someday. I'll be so happy with this, It will be the ultimate scrapping machine ever. :)

and oh yeah, an iPhone (again). hubby promised he'll get me another one after a failed one we purchased last year, that thing went berserk on me! But I'm going to miss my blackberry curve though, hubby will be adopting my blackberry when he gets me this. :)

Last November 29, my husband and my sister-in-law as well as the kids arrived from a tiring trip back from Las Vegas. And guess what he got me???

Well, what do you know? He got me a Coach bag instead! Not on my wish list after all. I was sooo happy, because as you guys know I'm not a brand conscious lady and I'm happy with hubby spoiling me with gadgets instead of designer stuff. I was expecting he'd get me the Sony eReader but It's ok, I'm happy with this baby. My advanced Christmas gift. :D plus he told me he wasn't really approving for the Sony reader because of a bad review he got from a best buy associate. bummer! but that's ok, he will get me that eReader someday. What he wants to get me is a digital SLR (no kidding!), but that would wait until next year, besides, May is just around the corner (wink, wink).

water softeners

Me and my buddies back in Pearl harbor were talking about how nowadays there are lots of great inventions being brought up and different kinds of water filters are popping up in the market. You can't really blame the people of today, They are health conscious and It is really important no matter what you say. This mother earth of ours is full of waste and even though it comes in our faucet clean, you just don't know what's in it anymore. One of my buds said back in their generation when they were younger they got water from a well and drank from a giant clay pot and she said they turned out ok, which I still remember when I was younger when I visited my grandparents back in the province. I did get to experience that and I didn't get sick at all. But the world we have today, It's a totally different story. You might want to visit Aquatell.com, They have this water softener that removes calcium and magnesium from water making it soft. Oh, and take note - It will also leave hair and skin feeling smoother and less dry. Wow, that's a great benefit to know.

unexpected true friends

Going into my fourth week at my new work place, I can say that I am very comfortable now than on my first week. Finding true friends is a really hard task, but I trust my own instincts and I can truly distinguish who are the real ones from the fakes. I don't judge people because I don't want myself to be judged by other people as well. So from time to time I spark up a conversation between my co-workers and I when I get a chance and each day you would really know who are the sincere ones. I am thankful because majority of the people at work have accepted me with open arms. I had made friends with different people from all walks of life and I had noticed that the true friends are the ones you wouldn't think you would be friends with e.g., The grumpy ones.
So next time you come across a person who is not smiling at all, just give that person a smile and believe me you guys will hit it off. Based from experiences I had gained great friendship with people I didn't expect that I'd be friends with.

the battle is over

I'm off tomorrow and We'll be taking the Van to the shop, by the way - we won! won what? You see It happened a few weeks ago, we were parked behind my sister-in-law's house which was the guest parking. It was a T shaped driveway and we were already at the middle of the T when it happened, our neighbor was backing up without even looking at his back. I won't elaborate anymore details because the battle has now ended (took them long enough). It was only finalized yesterday that's why were so happy. The left rear bumper was damaged so tomorrow we're going to have it repaired with no cost to us. :) Before I continue browsing other site's I want to check out this website that offers industrial supplies, I might find something we need here at home.
