I'm in love...
with a lil chef! We just saw Ratatouille a few days ago, and it was splendid! made me teary eyed (sniff) boy, I love that Rat! didn't you know that the title of this movie should've been "RATS"? hehee, how common eh? I was glad they changed it into Ratatouille coz it's sounds more frenchy hahaa. I was really interested what Ratatouille was.. It was our Anniversary yesterday (25th) we did nothing since he worked and I stayed at home, nothing special but went to Ward and Wal-mart. bought a few things and went home. It didn't turned out the way I wanted it to be. poor hubby wasn't in the mood, he seems so grouchy. poor thing, I can't blame him since he works 12 hrs almost everyday to cover his other co-worker's shift who's on leave for 3 weeks. So he's pretty darn tired.
It was July 25, 2002.. I was really nervous that day. I didn't know what to do since that was the big day. for pete's sake, butterflies in my stomach couldn't stop swirling around. I already had Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue. As we approached the room at the city court I couldn't help but cough since I just got out of the hospital a few days ago with major dehydration, I was coughing like crazy, I sounded like a dog.. geez.. So yeah, to make it short, after saying I DO I knew right there and then I had made the right choice and I thank God everyday for giving me such a wonderful, loving, caring man. My dream of having a wonderful church wedding faded away, but who cares? I got my man, and that's what really matters. after the wedding, friends and family gathered over at the GOLDEN DRAGON chinese restaurant at Subic Bay. but on our way there It suddenly rained, they told us it was a sign of blessings (aww..) everytime we attend weddings it always rained, then later sun would peek through. why is it? did it ever rained on your wedding? anyways, we had a blast and the food was so great. everything was planned by my dear mother-in-law. she's such a sweetie. so... HAPPY 5th wedding ANNIVERSARY, mahal ko!

I just purchased some frames from Nancy's shop at the Lilypad. I am so happy I finally purchased a set coz eversince I started seeing those vintage frames from my friends I couldn't help but drool. hehee, so how are you guys doin'? I checked my ppp yesterday, I only had at least 4 or 5 opps and I was like ??? oh goodness, where did all the opps go? so I went and changed my categories last night, today it increased up to 10. yay! hmmm.. I also had read today that posties are allowed to have up to 2 post per day. well, that sucks. anyways, that's ok I am just so happy I have a job. lately I am using my earnings from paid blogging, so what did I do with it? I filled up our van with gas (yay) grocery shopping of course, lunch money for my breaks at work, make up, still more grocery shopping. I just love it. I didn't splurge on anything for myself just yet. so to share my happiness with you, I am having a lil surprise on the end of this week. so watch out for it!

Wedding rings
apologies, friends! I've been busy with the past few days with work and family. good grief, I usually update 3 times a week but I am so sorry my offline life was just busy as you can imagine. I'll return comments as soon as I finish my assignments and my latest post here. aww, I am so happy me and hubby finally have our wedding rings back. I had to have it resized and hubby lost a diamond on his ring so my mother-in-law offered to take it back and get it replaced. I missed my wedding ring so much since it's very important to me. hubby gave it to me on my 19th birthday, he designed the rings himself which I really love of course. for the past year I've been wearing my diamond ring instead, so whenever I was talking to someone they would immediately comment: "congratulations! you're engaged!" or "when's the wedding?"
It's funny how it is, I'd just laugh so hard. especially our students at work, they couldn't believe I was already married. our family friend who lives in Waipahu just got back from the Philippines and she brought a whole box from my MIL, as well as our rings. I'm sad coz my MIL can't make it this year. she'll probably come here next year instead. ok, guys I gotta go, again I apologize for not visiting these past few days, I'll be catching up on ya'll. weeeeee I am soooo happy! I finally bought a new domain name! I wanted a dotcom domain but the info was on sale, so maybe next time... I wanted to have a new one since typing scrapkitty.blogspot.com is so long might as well shorten it. =) I told you guys before I was about to purchase my own, about hosting and all that jazz, I'll probably think about it. going back to wordpress is not my concern just yet. using wordpress for about a year and so was really great. but I had lots of problems especially hosting which got hacked and made me lose all my posts, I cherish every bit of post I make (I know you do, too) and everything is just too complicated at times especially when it comes to databases. I'd love to go back to wordpress. but not now, I'll stay with blogger I'm more happy with them, I can't really control everything on my site but that's ok, as long as there are no pop up ads I'm ok with that. so everyone...

weeeee! just watched transformers around 4:30 today, and what can I saaaay It's sooooo coooool! OMG I just love the effects and all that! woo-hoo! I was counting the days until my day off so we can watch it, hubby called me around 2:30 telling us to get ready in such a short notice so we can catch the next show at 4:30. dang, I just love that movie! I remember me and my bro back in our younger years saturday was the best day coz we would watch cartoons all day including transformers, I wasn't really a fan since it's all about robots but I'd watch all kinds of cartoon robots like Voltes V, Voltron and Macross. but after watching that movie I was hoping there would be more =). totally a must see! and It's got a whole cast of famous stars, too. It's really worth it. I give it a perfect 5 star!

the baby is now a lady...
I found my college ID. my mom brought back all the pictures I sent her when she was still back in the Philippines and I was surprised she brought my college Id with her. golly, I can't believe in such a lil time how my face matured so fast. See the difference from my usual daily pics? big difference, huh? I'm not the Sirikit I always used to be. sure, I am still the happy-go-lucky person I've always been. still loves to laugh and giggle. but thru time I found myself not being myself anymore, what I mean is I've totally changed into a different person. I'm much stronger and matured when it comes to my outlook in life, thanks to hubby I've become a more better person in life. he thought me everything what I needed to know. One time hubby commented how I've changed a lot. neneng nene pa raw ako noon noong nameet ko sya.(he reminds me of a little girl when he met me) What can I do? I was only 18 at that time, still innocent and ignorant =P. hubbykins fell in love with me coz the first time we had our beachside dinner I had the courage to eat up my steak and veggies =P how embarassing! mind you, I dislike eating in front of boys who were once courting me, never I ate in front of them. but hubby was an all out person, he showed his true self. and I was comfortable with that.
I remembered when we went out one night, he would blast his AC and would drive me around the city. he's such a race car driver. every day he'd drive to work I would always remind him to slow down coz I love him very much and I don't ever wanna lose him. So anyway, yeah.. back to the story, he told me he really enjoyed my company and hopefully we would have a second date again, when I went home he'd still send me text messages around 4 am. So yeah, because of him that's why I realy turned chubby than ever =/ but I don't blame him though. that's what you call love <3. see my college ID? I was going thru a tough time there and seeing pics of me when I was a lot thinner reminded me of my darker days..
I am so glad it's all over now, thanks to hubbykins.. so if someone tells me I have to lose weight coz I'm getting chubbier, look at your figure first, dummy! (sorry) I get a lot of comments from pinoy friends who don't get to see me in a long time and get to say "tumataba ka ah!" (you seem to be getting fat) I always answer them with "thank you, masaya kasi ako eh! ikaw, masaya ka ba?" (thank you, I'm happy that's why! are you happy?) I feel a lot better the way I am and If I want to look thinner it's up to me coz it's my body and I don't really care what you say. =/ although time is almost running out, I need to jog and lift weights often.. need to lose weight so we can have our next baby already, a lot of people are waiting for me to get pregnant! ay Dios mio! and yes, one day when I was in my mother in law's office my friends came over and gasped in disbelief how I've changed so much. they even noticed the way I eat, I don't eat like a bird anymore, hindi na raw ako mahinhin! =P
Oh, I am using the pre-installed trial version of the corel paint shop pro XI here in my laptop. and what can I say? I can't scrap just yet coz I'm really not feelin' corelpsp, I miss my version 9.. but I have to go and scrap at my desktop instead. bummer. and to think these past few days I've downloaded oodles of new scrap freebies!! can't wait to use them, man, I gotta find some time to scrap.. too lazy to back up my scrap freebies which is settled in my desktop for a very long time now. I feel like crap. been busy for the past 2 days can't even return your comments, missed bloghopping. just finished some assignments, I finally fixed my friendster overlay, It's quite simple and hope it'll stay that way =/ but I think It doesn't work again. crap. that's the only downside of having overlay pages.

vacation.. I love!
I can't wait for our long awaited vacation, It's been a few years since we last went on a trip, and I miss going to Disneyland and Universal Studios! So we're saving up and waiting for our son to be a little bit older coz the last time he experienced Disneyland was when he was only two. We want him to remember that experience forever. I as a child didn't experience great trips to amazing theme parks and my first time was back in 2004. but we're still planning on a Florida vacation and I know it's going to be great! I am sooo excited and it just inspires me to work better each day, because I've never really gone to Florida, I have an uncle there whom I wanna visit someday and I'd love to visit that place very much.

Jamie from work bought me some cookies from the big island. man, I wanna go visit the other islands, see what it's like. hubby promised me we will on our day off, weee I'm excited. but when? hahaaa =P these are chocolate dipped macadamia cookies, they make you drool and thirsty, I consume a whole bottle of water by eating a piece of this, imagine that =). sooooo, we had a nice 4th of July. I was working of course, but that's ok coz it's time and a half anyway, no biggie. me, Leona and Candice had a nice time coz we brought food and had a lil potluck of our own since we had to work on a holiday, rats. I brought bbq pork, fried rice, Leona had her manapuas, cookies and brownies, noodles, lemon cake, Candice brought some lime chicken (yum yum. =) we finished early, instead of going home at 11 we finished around 9:30, we had the chance to watch the fireworks show held at Pearl Harbor, it was fantastic. too bad I didn't bring my camera, shucks. Here's some pics from the day we went to Northshore.

my key lime pie
HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!! HAVE FUN EVERYONE!!!
I tried making dessert, I made a key lime pie and it came out just fine. yummy. It has that lil tangy taste to it. mom loved it very much and insisted I make it often so we can just put it in the fridge. I love making desserts and It's my first time making this kind of pie. hehee I bought the key lime at Pacific market and I thought they would taste like calamansi but I guess not =/
ingredients:
key lime juice (3 pc squeezed into cup)
1 whole tub of whipped cream (thawed)
1 can of condensed milk
1 9" premade pie shell
mix key lime juice into condensed milk and whipped cream, add grated keylime peel into mixture. beat well until smooth and fine. pour into pie shell and chill.
Well, It may not taste good for a lot of you, but it's a very yummy dessert and so easy to make. ok, gotta run have to pick up hubby in an hour, I have to cook his last minute dinner Longganisa. mahalo!

What a wonderful day to start a fresh day! it's about 6:45 in the morning, but I feel like crap (cold coming in...achoo! sniff..). went shopping yesterday, woohoo! I wanted to buy a new pair of flats =/ but ended up buying a new top and shorts for work =) I think I'll drop by Old Navy the next time I'm off. after this I'm about to take the van for it's maintenance, change oil and filter. I love searching for cookware sets. when I was younger hearing my mom and aunts as well as neighbors talk about cookwares really urked me so bad since of course It wasn't my thing, I promised myself I wasn't going to bother about that when I grow up. good heavens, I was totally wrong! I find myself drooling over silver pots and pans at sales in department stores every time I shop. I always have the urge to pick up a set and go directly at the check out, but I stop myself of course. I so promised myself one day when we buy a house I would love to buy a collection of cookware sets and I swear I'll take good care of it. try buying at berndes-cookware I am sure you can find something to add to your collection because I know I will.

we're gonna watch transformers, yayyy!! I'm not a transformers person but When we were kids saturday was our huge day coz we get to watch whatever we want and do cartoon marathon all day. my brother loved transformers very much, and of course I had to watch it, too, I had no choice. =/

I've always loved potted plants whether it's real or not. I remembered a friend of ours had a collection of artificial flowers and plants all around her house which gave her home a lot of color and it was really wonderful, We admired her home so much because of it, she took care of it as if it were real plants in her house, It gave her home the garden effect. I remembered we used to have a few silk plants at home which every home has, of course. It's nice to have these especially when you're a busy person and you never have to worry putting them out in the sun and watering them every day. trials in life...
boy, I just feel bad for my brother. we had to drive him to the hospital coz he has a fever of 106. poor guy, he's been having a fever eversince this morning. we thought it was only a slight fever and we also went to the beach, by Northshore and had a great time! I'll be posting pics and videos tomorrow when I get home from work. my dad called awhile ago, he lives in Las vegas right now with his gf and my half sis. had a heart to heart talk with him. he told me everything is just turning upside down on his side. what can I do? I love him very much but he really deserves what is happening to him now. I believe in karma. If he hadn't left us when we were younger we're supposed to have a happy complete family right now, but that's life... we always regret something at the end of each situation and I know God wanted it to be that way to teach us all a lesson. after learning that Gully had a fever (twice now) I can hear his heavy breathing on the other line and then he finally told me that things are turning ugly with him and he regrets taking that wrong turn before. I can accept the fact that he couldn't be with us coz he managed to stay away from my mom coz of what he did I just hoped he managed to continuously send us our support when we were younger. ugh. some of you know what I went through in life, and I don't want to elaborate the complete details now =( it's just a long story. so yeah, he kept telling me how we've grown into such kind, mature adults and he's really proud of us, I added that thanks to our mom she had taught us a lot and not to keep any hatred inside of us, we should learn how to forgive and forget. he also informed me that he's having a hard time taking care of Athena (my 12 yr old half sis) coz she's a bit on the wild side unlike us when we were growing up. So he's gonna keep a good eye on her. I love my dad and my half sis but I swear when I see his gf someday she won't be hearing anything from me. call me bad but really, I remembered back in 2003 I was pregnant at that time, boy when I first saw her I had a chance to pull her hair and yell at her for all I care for breaking my family, but I didn't do that. all I did was cry. I hate her so much. until now I still do (sorry, God) I want to forgive her, but I really can't just yet. maybe someday, but not now. she couldn't even look at me and she tried hiding my dad informing us that my dad didn't wanna see us, but hellooo my dad came out of the house as soon as he learned that I was outside. =/ thank you, God for letting my dad realize his mistakes, I just hope he won't lose touch with us anymore.... I hate this feeling. I cried a lil bit awhile ago... but it's ok, I'm fine now. I'm thankful to God for giving me trials in life. It makes us stronger each day. eversince we were kids we didn't become rebellious or anything, and I am thankful for my parents for that inspite of what happened to them...
