mini albums galore

What can I say?? I LOVE THEM! I can't stop thinking of making my very first mini album. I am planning on making one for my niece's birthday on September, It will also serve as a gift for her before she leaves for College. She will be attending UC Irvine. I met her when she was 10. She was an awesome little girl, very humorous. She still is up to now. She never runs out of ideas and jokes, never a dull moment. I am very blessed to witness Celina and her brother Thomas growing up before my eyes.

There are hundreds of mini albums over HERE, The inspiration is just endless. I can't wait to make my family mini albums as well. This can be a great gift to a friend or loved one. Just choose a theme and you can start from there. I am planning a hybrid one and currently choosing the best pictures to go within the mini album. I'm just finding the time to make one, I don't seem to find any available time to make it since we have many errands left and right. Scrapbooking is fun, what more if you're working on a mini?

Make yours today!

FINALLY!

SO, we finally got to meet, after 9 years! I am so happy! We weren't complete because the others couldn't make it. They were my high school buds way back freshmen year. :) We met up at National City, close to Sea food city supermarket. We ate breakfast at Goldilocks, we all ordered Tapsilog. Jazel, on my right brought along her BF. While Donna on my other side was 6 months pregnant. I envy them, because they are wearing sundresses! I can't wait to get back to my old weight which is 130. I want to be as girly as I can hehehe. We chit-chatted for about 2 hours and we all parted ways. After 2 days, we found out that Jazel just got engaged! We saw her post her engagement ring on facebook, so lovely! We were so happy for her, they look alike, too. :) No wonder when we asked them if wedding bells are coming soon, The BF couldn't say anything. So funny! Anyhoo, It was fun... I hope to see them again soon.

a scrappy moment

It has been awhile since I posted some of my scrap works here. I have been updating my facebook photo albums since my flickr account pro has already been expired. I have no intentions of renewing it, It's a waste of money (although, some of you will disagree with me) I understand if you have an SLR camera then you can showcase beautiful pictures to the world. I don't have any those. I also felt guilty for not updating my flickr for a pretty long time. Now, It's goodbye flickr pro. tsk.

How was your 4th of July, by the way? well, it sucked for me coz I had to work! but that's ok, it's time and a half anyway, no biggie. at least I got to see it from work at Pearl Harbor, then when going home saw the ones at Aloha tower. no pics to share, hopefully next year we can close early at work, our Director will request it since the store was sooooo dead after 7 pm. I'll see you guys in a bit, I am working 8 straight days. phew...

Scrap addict Sundays (outdoor) + other stories

CREDITS: MILLA DESIGNS (SURF'S UP)

This will be for Week of May 25 = Outdoor, I had a great time finishing this LO, it just reminds me of our island home Hawaii. I don't have any good recent outdoor pics just yet, so that will do.

I have been so busy with work lately, everytime I come home I get so lazy to open my laptop I usually cuddle with hubbykins and my son, chit chat with my family and just go out when I'm off, we watch movies, shop... today and tomorrow will be my days off woohoo! but I have other plans, like fixing my picture albums, cleaning the house.. you know, doing productive stuff. me and my mom are into crochet lately. months ago I bought a yarn ball and a purple hook, she found it hidden under the bathroom cabinet, when I went home one day she finished it within hours, that's when she realized she wanted to crochet again. So we bought her some yarn balls at walmart, she finished 2 blankets so far, one was baby pastel colors, and the other one she's finishing right now is for our living room sofa bed, a combination of dark blue and light blue yarn. I bought a pair of wooden bamboo sticks for knitting and the color I am using is a combination of darn pink and browns. I'm going to make a large bag, I just hope it turns out good, I even borrowed a knitting book at the library =D.

I'm learning how to knit, I only how to crochet eversince back in the 5th grade for our HE class., but knitting with 2 sticks, not yet. so far I only know how to do a slipknot and the cast on. Do you guys know any great videos that teach knitting in a very slow mode? the videos I watch at youtube are really fast, I can't seem to get it. I'm really eager to learn! anybody?

Well, let me tell you about our lil bus adventure that happened some a weeks ago. We tried using the Bus, got on bus # 3 RUGER/KOKOHEAD and dropped us off close to Ala Moana Blvd. at restaurant row, it was such a nice feeling catching the bus, to us it was an adventure! After the movies, we watched Horton hears a Who, which was a great kiddie cartoon by the way, We went back to the street and waited for bus # 3 again. It did came but goodness, We caught the wrong bus! It took us to a lot of places like Waialae, Diamond head, KOKOHEAD. it stopped somewhere I wasn't sure were. Hubby got nervous and was anxious to pick us up if we got stranded. The driver was kinda in a bad mood, my mom whispered "hmphhh ugaling pinoy!" then I just made a face, glad he didn't make us pay since the bus offered at least one free transfer. We did manage to get back in Salt lake, were we live and hubby drove at the end of our street, picked us up coz it was raining so hard! Lesson I learned that day: Always call the bus for directions! We plan on catching the bus again next time, and for sure we'll call the bus for the bus # 3 Salt lake route.

So how are you guys doing? I feel so bad for not visiting lately, I promise after this post I'll hoppity hop down to your blogs. thank you for those people who always manage to peek (based on my bloglog) thank youuuuuu! and for link exchanges I'll be posting your links on my sidebar. mahalo!

Brushing teeth is very important. I don't have nice teeth myself, partly my fault. so in order for our kids to have nice teeth as they grow, as earlier as possible we need to make a habit of the kids to brush and care for their teeth for a nice healthier smile.

MY POSTS FOR THE DAY:

* What a day

scrappy day

I feel like I wanna go to Ben Franklin's today. I feel scrappy. and I'll probably buy a few things there for a friend. hmmm maybe later. I just wanna share some LO's I made a few days ago, oh golly today Is my last day off... nooooooooo! drat.

anyways, hope you guys had a terrific valentines day, I know I did =D. we had to visit my brother at the hospital yesterday, yes he had surgery, they had to remove his colostomy bag after a year, thank God but when we went there he didn't move or budge at all when we were trying to call his name, you think he was in a coma! the nurse tried waking him up, too and she got so scared by the look of her face, when he woke up he couldn't answer us at all it was a few minutes before he got around.

after that, drove home bought some pizzas at papa John's then just spent some time with the family. Valentine's isn't just giving material things and giving some heartmelting sentimental valentiney stuff.. for me, it's more on being together, happy and fulfilled. My hubby even asked for forgiveness for he didn't buy me any roses or whatever for valentines, I told him it was ok, It really doesn't matter anyway, roses are lovely but wither later on, chocolates can be so good but can add some more to my pounds. so, hugs and kisses are great! and they are free of charge.

I didn't do these scraps all in one day, I made 2 today and it felt really good to have the creative scrap juice flowing, yipeeeeee I'm off today and tomorrow! I'm off to work out now... hugs to everyone!

scrap goodies

I forgot to mention that I won Yenny's birthday contest, and I won $10 weeeeee! I am so happy, I never really won anything on the net, seriously that was my first time and I wasn't really expecting anything. So what I did with the money? I simply splurged myself with new scrap goodies sale! I think I bought around 5 kinds of scrap elements from the Lily pad and Miss Tiina's shop. today I called the cab driver and paid him, he was very thankful. Now I am off to drive my brother to the Hospital for his check up. so anyway, I'll be back later for more. toodles!

MERRY CHRISTMAS...

to all, and to all a good night!

hair drama

shooots... I am sooooo sick and tired of my hair. I need a haircut! It's heavy and It feels hot, plus it takes a lot of my time when I'm getting ready for work, I have to adjust my time since I don't use a blow dryer for my hair. maybe I'll go to the salon before christmas, let's see. Eversince I was younger I always had long hair up to my hips, but when I was about to meet my hubby the first time We decided to chop my long locks and give it an edge, I tried for the layer look for the first time, no kidding. I loved it and it's much more manageable this time. When I had my baby I really hated having long hair since it always gets in the way, but once in awhile I get to grow it long then I have to go to the salon again. I rarely have split ends, can't you believe the last time I visited a salon was march 16 of last year? I know, what a pity.. They say you have to at least go to the salon every 6 months for a haircut, I decided not to be spoiled when it comes to my hair, as long as I treat it real good, my hair will be fine. I don't use hair colors either, so I won't have to be stuck dealing with hair problems which is good. now, I guess It's time for my hair a lil treat...

happy wednesday!

I had a great time chatting with my bestfriend Joan last night. as you all know I had a post about my bestfriend somewhere in my archives and I was badly hurt when I thought our friendship was long gone.. I guess I was wrong after all. I told her how I felt and all that and I'm happy she's back in Korea, she finished a caregiver course back in the PI so I am happy she went back to her husband although they're not that sweet anymore, it's just for the sake of their child that's why they are still together. we had a great time chatting, she's still the friend I knew back in high school. I was relieved to know about her situation from a fellow friend who took up Nursing and they accidentally saw each other in one of the hospitals in San Marcelino. When I knew about that, I felt happy for her. I didn't believe in any accusations that I heard from other friends since they told me they weren't sure if the bad news were real or not. I kept on praying that she will take the right path, and dear God heard me... thank you, God!

I was off today, before I went to do my usual stuff I spent the whole day cleaning our storage, and I tell ya it was diiiiiirttyyyyy! ugh. not that dirty, but there was quite a few dust balls here and there. I cleaned it up real good. and I am proud of myself. heck, I was surprised to see all the receipts I had since 2005.. oh waitaminute 2004. bummer, I had to look at each one, so I wouldn't miss something, coz I might just toss a very important paperwork, or perhaps a piece of document that has your own sss on it, a no no for me.
So as I was cleaning the bags, tossing around a lot of junk that I don't need, I find my pregnancy prenatal pills and all our other miscellanious prescriptions, (gasp) I couldn't believe I still had 'em. what a nightmare this is I thought. how could I miss all these? I guess when we were moving out from our apartment back in the 7th floor I didn't bother throwing out the junk we still had. So I vowed from now on, I'll keep tabs on everything to avoid clutter.
It was so funny, as I was rummaging through our old stuff, looking at all the things we had when we first started just brought back memories. good memories. I was reminiscing through each item I held, It was such a good feeling. I even saw the very first anniversary gift I gave my hubby back in 2003.

The very first gift I gave Jon. While he was sleeping I always went into his room and concentrated on finishing my home made book, consisted of pages sewn together and some couple of art papers for the design of the book. simple, yet clean. inside were handwritten messages, text messages I got from him eversince we started dating, until we got married. It was sweet, he went home one day and just hugged me tight and said thank you, he cried too... the very first page is the one below.

Small things can make people happy. and it's things like these that makes our love grow strong and tight. I always see myself growing old with hubby. You think we're always that sweet and all that, but you're wrong.. we do have some moments that can be pretty stressful, but most times we're sweet. I thank God for each and every day we're together.
I have more pictures to show you, but I guess I'll upload them in my multiply a lil later after this. It was just so funny coz I saw all my bags, my old clothes, my old shoes, my baby stuff, some pictures, my work schedules (that had to be thrown out) etc. It's so nice taking a walk down memory lane, so how about you... when's the last time you cleaned your closet?
