here's to the new year

Last post for the year 2008. I am really thankful for a lot of things, although my brother is not with us anymore somehow he managed to make everything fall into place. I wouldn't really elaborate on the details, I would just keep it to myself. Nothing is impossible with our dear father up above, without his trials we wouldn't be as stronger as we are right now. I am thankful for my husband who has been patient with me as long as I can remember. he loved me for who I am as well as my whole family. my son who has been a great learner these past months, what an awesome lil fella! we're such proud parents for all the achievements he had made, hope he could continue that attitude. my in-laws for being supportive as ever even when my brother died. I thank my offline and online friends, who had been there for me cheering me up and making me happy when I was down, thank you all! as well as our buddies at work and for our jobs as well. it brings us food to the table, thank you God!

well... farewell 2008, it has been a great new year full of ups and downs, now we are ready to face 2009. Hope you guys have a safe new year wherever you are!

cheers! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! peace, love, happiness and great health to all of us!

a belated merry christmas

How was everyone's christmas? I hope you guys had a good one. as for us, well you can say we had a lonely one since the little one isn't here as well as the in-laws. Can you believe I didn't cook anything for our Noche buena? I didn't even get to open my presents, I only opened it this afternoon when hubby came home from work. It was mostly food and kitchen utensils (lol) It was all good. hubby bought me a 10 MP fujifilm finepix z20.

I was supposed to get another sony cybershot since we gave my 6MP one to my MIL. but I am so lovin' this camera right here. it isn't bad at all, I tell ya! What I love most about it is it's mpeg video, It's amazingly clear! compared to my cybershot this one take's the cake. I can't really share the video that I took on christmas eve at work. since my card reader isn't working, I'll probably share it some other time. anyhoo, hubby was also supposed to buy me DSLR! but he told me I can only choose one, soooo I chose the compact point and shoot since it's very important to me. The DSLR can always come later, besides it's not practical to buy that yet. I'd rather spend it with other things, I had to weigh in my options to see if I really needed it or not =/.

Thank you so much to Lhyz who gave this cute lil hello kitty gift! mahalo nui loa, Lhyz! It's perfect for putting all my beaded jewelry! love it!

and of course, I finally got my twitter exchange gift from my twitter mommy Dianeskie, maraming salamat, princess Di! I'm always wearing them, I swear! love na love ko sila talaga... I can't retrieve the pics just yet on my camera since my reader isn't working. and of course my baby caryl finally received hers as well, thank goodness! I'm glad she loved it!

UPDATED: In other news, last night around 7pm, the whole Oahu island had a power outage, due to lightning and rain I wasn't sure. I was currently shopping at Ross at the time. I was in the fitting room when I noticed the lights kept on flickering. As soon as I got to the checkout line the registers went down and I was so glad to get in line before the line became long. As I headed to Pearlridge mall (the building was just behind Ross) The whole mall just blacked out! of course a lot of screaming and yelling here and there mainly caused by silly teenagers! I quickly walked my way up to Sears since I had to take one floor down coz I parked in front of Sears, the place was just pure darkness, it was sooooo spooky! it also rained hard, I was shopping by myself since hubby was all alone sleeping at home. there was heavy traffic due to people getting out of the malls and heading back home. You can only see car lights, there was no power everywhere --- not even traffic lights! I spent my time using up the power of my laptop and just twittering on my phone. I slept around 1am and can you believe the power came on around 9:45 in the morning? this was way worse than the last time, The last power outage was around 2006 when an earthquake shook the whole hawaiian islands! ok, I'll be blogging again sometime soon, I need to finish my online tasks. It's about 1am here Hawaii time, I need to get some sleep now. have a blessed holidays to all! oh before I forget, I've sent the christmas cards FINALLY! for those who haven't received anything, you'll be getting something from me in the mail... wait lang kayo! iisa isahin ko kayo eh hehehee...

a luggage for your thought

I was supposed to fly to San Diego along with hubby after my in laws and my son had went around the 17th. It was just too bad I couldn't be there, bummer. My hubby's family side are travel oriented people, they love to travel very much, like my sister-in-law and her family, they have been everywhere in the world. I think I've adapted pretty much for the love of traveling. I badly need a new luggage, how about you? check out this awesome site called luggagebase.com where they sell really great luggage sets, just browse around their brands, they pretty much guarantee you low prices everyday. Try their Price beater challenge, It just might surprise you, They'll beat that price to $5 and they'll even give you free shipping. wow! Well, I just might need new luggages, we're planning to take a vacation in the mainland maybe earlier next year.

a sad christmas rush

Oh, christmas is just a few days away and we are soooo sad! why? coz my son just left around the 17th, my mother-in-law accompanied him to San Diego, me and hubby were supposed to go, too but hubby couldn't get his leave for the holidays while I was approved for 2 days use or lose leave. hubby doesn't want me to leave him all alone here for christmas, I felt sad but that's ok, at least we'll be together.. we've never been apart ever, and we're never gonna be! that's sorta our pact hehee...

anyhoo, when I picked him up at school I told him he's leaving that night and he'll finally see legoland! he wasn't very happy when I told him he'll be leaving with his grandma, he knew we weren't coming, and he was about to cry! I took it back and I finally said we'll be boarding another plane, it's just they have to go first and we'll come next. I knew he bought it at first, poor guy. when they were boarding the plane he was crying coz he knew we weren't there. he was looking more for his papa because my husband has an aiport badge he has access to come in the airport, me and our uncle stayed outside. Our heart broke for our lil guy. he'll be coming back Jan. 11th for their school starts at Jan. 13th. but so far he's doing ok there with his cousins. I remember yesterday I went to pick his school homework and activity pack his classmates saw me and a loud buzz of whispers from the kindergarteners were like:

"it's nathan's mom! it's nathan's mom!"
"Where's nathan??"
"how come nathan is gone already?!"

They were all so funny, some moms were there helping out with the goodie bags and all, I received Nate's goodie bag, so cute! in it were lots of goodies, books and a christmas wreath that was made with a paper plate, hand traced hands made by the children and a lil poem at the back and a picture of the whole class in the front.

It's a tiring week, I apologize for not updating regularly like I used to. eversince the in-laws came everyday was really hectic and come night time after work I feel pooped out. but since Nate won't be here for the holidays it will be only me and the hubbykins, can you believe I haven't finished my christmas cards yet? as well as my gift wrapping session? I'll get to that tonight, hoo boy! and I'll find time to revamp the site and get things going while Nathan is away, I'll try my best to keep in touch and return comments as soon as I get this show on the road. have a great holidays, everyone!!

thank you to the following who sent christmas cards: ate jenny and jhayelle love you guys!!

a superfood?

Can you imagine in the near future we would have invented simply everything we could think of? in the past decades inventors and scientists have done a pretty good job making ways and discovering things that you can't even imagine. pretty impressive. nowadays, a lot of scientists discover more ways to fight the great enemy we always hate, aging. There's a lot of factors that can affect aging and in our everyday lives, it's almost impossible to avoid it. I can't imagine myself all wrinkly, I just can't. to tell you honestly, I hate taking anything that comes in pills or tablets, I fear that someday something might happen to me. but I understand not all supplements out there are harmful, like Lipovox for example is the original "super foods" supplement that you can take that can help burn your fat, get rid of your horrible acne, and reduce those wrinkles you keep complaining about. read these Lipovox reviews to help you understand if it's right for you, always remember to consult your doctor first before venturing into any supplement to prevent you with other health reasons.

hip and cool

I love designing stuff from clothes to interior designing, I remember before I always had the time to sit down and just grab my sketchbook and I'll be in my own lil bubble just sketching away designs of clothes and accessories as well as furnitures. When I go downtown my fave place to look at are modern furniture designs that are displayed in stores. I like modern day furniture, they are just so cool and you can always match everything according to your preference. I like matching modern with a bit of classic, if we'll have a house someday, I'll probably go crazy running around in these type of stores. If you love modern furnitures, try checking out treomodern.com where they sell contemporary furniture at reasonable prices, well the designer at heart could get a kick out of this store! I know I would, just look at those gorgeous pieces, I am so drooling right now!

twilight fever

Helloooooooo!!! I'm baaaaack!! well, I actually got back online like a few days ago when I finally finished the 4th book from the Twilight Saga, Breaking dawn. damn, it was such a great story! (let me blab about it again, please...) I cried and I laughed, boy... if you haven't read it yet, I suggest you do... I promise, it's quite addicting. Once you start there's no way of stopping (look at me).

I actually took a break online, concentrated reading the whole saga. I also saw the movie, it was good.. but it wasn't that really impressive (sorry) I wanted to see so much more, but what can we do? it's only an adaptation, so all in all I still loved it. I prepared myself when I was about to see the film, no high expectations inside, I think I was only drawn to it by the characters' chemistry (lol) I just love Rob and Kristen so much as playing Edward and Bella. You fall in love with the characters so easily and in such a short time when you are done reading it, It sure was painful letting go. I think this is a record for me, reading 4 books in 2 weeks, I don't do that. when I read a book it takes me at least weeks coz I read it when I have time. but boy, for the whole saga, after doing my chores and my mommy duties I was always buried inside my book and my laptop reading in bed. hubby knows I'm addicted. It's like my own personal heroin (lol). yes. I still have the twilight fever and I hope it will pass on soon. Anyways, my hubbykins is always there to give me that crooked smile, heheee...

And I have great news, too! I finally met Winnie! she was currently waiting in line, and I was counting money at the time when all of a sudden somehow my head moved to the side to see outside the window, I couldn't believe my eyes-- is that WINNIE? I thought. I waved at her and she also waved back! I hurriedly excused myself out of the cash cage, I went to greet her, gave her a hug and said our hello's heheee. it was an awkward moment, lots of people in line, I also met her lovely and cute daughter, Winter. It was nice meeting her, it was my first time to meet a blogger in person. I just wished at that moment that we could have some time eat lunch or something, but there wasn't any time at all. bummer. That's ok, maybe next time! I am pretty sure we can still see each other again since she shop from where I work, she saw me first before I even got to see her (lol). I told her that I was really a big girl in person, and she was quite the petite size herself, ang cute nya hehee. sayang, walang picture noh, Winnie? sayang...

I hope someday I can still get to meet a lot of you. It's 3 am right now, I gotta catch some zzz, we're also preparing for my in-laws, they'll be arriving within a week and we're so excited to see them again. Will bloghop tomorrow (I know, I know, sue me) my apologies to all those who kept in touch always eventhough I wasn't active online, you know who you guys are....

Anyways, I didn't receive my twitter gift from my mommy yet! I am soooo excited! weeeee and lastly, I wanna say thank you to sis Lhyz for surprising me with a cute Hello Kitty golden round jewelry container (whatever you call it), maraming salamat sis, ang cute cute nya post ko na lang pics sa susunod... dami ko na utang sayo, nahihiya na ako sayo heheee

Ok, goodnight y'all!

moving?

As much as we want to move out of Hawaii, we just can't at the moment. We love this place so much, no matter how small this island can be, nothing beats the paradise, I'm telling you. All through my life, I've experienced moving all around the country, well that is back home in my hometown in the Philippines, of course. Moving can be such a hassle especialy when you don't have moving trucks to help you out, can you imagine what a nightmare that would be? My sister-in-law and her family had moved around a lot since they were in the military, moving had kept her strong since she was the only one who had to do it because the husband wasn't around since he gets to go out first. When they were about to move to Japan, I saw how the movers moved so fast and wrapped everything in a jiffy. It was like a piece of cake, very impressive. Most friends of mine are in the military so I know what they are going through. I have never experienced moving around that much since my dad was retired Navy so I really didn't know how hard it was to move around every three years or so. Moving can be a hassle, so save your time and visit upack.com for all your moving needs.

try alli

I have to say, I'm tempted to try out new diet fads everytime something comes out. Like today, I bought this celebrity magazine and on the cover were two hot celeb moms informing the world how they ended up losing the flab without any rigorous exercise. but in my mind I am pretty done with the whole diet stuff. Well, I've tried some diet pills and it didn't really suit my body, maybe I wasn't really paying attention to what I am supposed to do. And We all know that certain diet pills works well with some people, depends on their body. So, are you in the process of choosing what's best for you? There are lots of helpful reviews online that you can read before you step in and try any kind of diet pills, I remembered one time I was talking to my manager about this product called alli because It was the first time that I've seen it, that was a long time ago I was doing a refund at the time at work when I noticed it. I got curious and my manager told me that she had used it and it helped her a lot. It's a bit pricey, though. but hey, if it has good reviews and your doctor says it's ok for you to use it, might as well give it a go.

crazy for twilight

The title says it all. I just bought the book Twilight around Nov. 20th before the premier of the movie and eversince I started reading it, I got so hooked my nose was completely glued to it when I had the chance. Well, last night (hahaaa) I slept almost 5 am, my husband was awake the entire time coz he couldn't sleep at all and he saw me still reading in bed, he just shook his head and kept on telling me to get some sleep. I fell so madly in love with the story, the way they pictured Edward was really something else, a dangerous yet beautiful "adonis-like" vampire with eyes that can dazzle you when he spoke. golly! When I read a book I just fall inside my own lil world and picture the actors who are gonna play the parts in the book. but since The motion picture was out anyway the selected cast was already inside my head, every scene in the chapter just made me want to see the movie so bad to see how it is. A lot of critics gave the movie a bad review, and a lot of people expected the movie to be a lot like the book, but hey-that can't ever happen, it's only based on the book. :)

so anyways, up to now I am sooooo deeply in love with the story, I heard most of my co-workers went to see it yesterday (boo me) and they told me I had to go and see it for myself since it was such a spectacular movie! I am so jealous. It's really funny how some of the fans of Rob Pattinson were angry coz they only wanted him to be Cedric Diggory and not the gorgeous vampiric Edward Cullen. I think they selected a great cast, they all look so attractive, so fit to be vampires =D especially Rob, they made a great choice by choosing him, and as for Bella, well she was great too I think the way she was portrayed in the book was kinda pale so she was right for the part. Everytime I hold the book it seems like I don't ever wanna stop, you know the feeling, right? Oh, I can't wait to finish the book before I see the movie. I am also planning to buy the whole Twilight saga, darn you Edward Cullen, you're the one keeping me busy away from the Net!

hahaa, anyways I had such a tough week, I closed all night at work, so hectic... that explains why I am not twitting constantly. my day off would be Thanksgiving day and the day after which means... I can go shopping!! weeee! and for my dear friends and visitors, I miss you all sorry I can't visit your blogs yet, a working mommy is so hard, wish I could be Wonder woman anyday. ciao peeps!

what to choose

I squirm when I hear Diet, no kidding! I guess you know what I'm talking about, I have spent quite an amount of money by doing this and doing that, you know trying those fad diets and EVEN trying out a diet pill, everything in the book I've tried it. I can't really say I did try all of them because It is kinda overwhelming. Me and my co-workers usually share what kind of diet works for us and what really worked in the way, some shared some negative stuff that includes me, I guess that diet pill didn't work for me at all, or maybe I hadn't used it well you know all diet fads require proper food intake and daily exercise so maybe that's why it didn't work. Maybe you're interested in dieting and want to get rid of some flab in some parts of your body? I know I do, as much as I hate to admit it. all you gotta do is visit diet-pills.sybervision.com for all reviews for diet pills where you can read a lot of consumer feedbacks and regarding which diet pill is on their number one best seller! See what fits you and before trying out anything don't ever forget to consult your doctor first.

reminding you

...that it's a beautiful life! because of that Jon and Kate plus 8 commercial on TLC everisnce I've heard it I become so inspired all of a sudden, for some reason it makes me appreciate more of what I've got in my life right now. SO if you are feeling down, troubled or whatever... grab a chair, your fave cup of coffee or drink and just listen to this music, it's so nice, it will remind you of your family, I swear!

sad with grief

I lost my bracelet last night. sad, I know. :( after our shift, I went to my locker and grabbed my bag, took off my smock and went to the restroom, I then realized after washing my hands that my darling ol' bracelet is GONE! I suddenly re traced my steps back to the office, my co-worker decided to help me, if things couldn't get any worse this girl (I'm not telling who she is) added to my frustration by telling us: "watch out, you guys! the carpet is wet!" in bossy mode.

wtf? we were standing up in one place only and she's the one walking all around the carpet before she sat down her desk. I just responded with a simple "ok then, let's get outta here!"

When we went out, my friend looked at me and she was like, "did you hear that?"

I was like: "pasalamat sya mabait ako kundi binara ko sya!"

When I went home, after eating hubby came out of the bedroom to go use the bathroom. we greeted each other, when he came out I confessed that I lost my bracelet. he was so furious and told me he wouldn't buy me anymore, which broke my heart of course, that bracelet was a gift from hubby since 2003 christmas time. It was a simple one and I loved it so much. never did I replaced it for another. filled with tears of disappointment, I ironed one of hubby's uniforms, tears kept on falling. aaww, I ma just hoping someone would return it.

I lost my wedding ring once. I lost it a mile away from our house, at the salt lake shopping center. thank God it was night time, I drove back crying on the way because hubby told me I should drive back to where we shopped, It must have slipped somewhere.

thank God, I saw a twinkle from the darkness, must have been from those tiny diamonds, I finally found it! so yeah, it was a miracle finding it again. now I am hoping for another miracle, oh my goodness...

Oh, Europe!

I know a few friends who now live in Europe and I am so dying to take a vacation there. yeah, yeah it seems unreal to me but hubby promised me one day when the kids are all grown up, we'll probably be able to save one up for those European cruises who knows, maybe we'll hit the jackpot one day, right? anyways, it's considered to be one of my lifetime wishlists, my things to do before I retire or when I do retire someday. I don't know how it is over there, Their lifestyle over there is pretty darn good, or is it how I see it? however, I still would like to get there. I heard it's pretty expensive over there. I love travelling, I got this from my hubbykin's side of his family, they are all travel oriented people. We don't get to travel anymore because of work, but that's ok, at least we have something exciting to look forward to one day.

F.A.S.

I was just watching yahoo about this:

At first I was like, maybe she IS faking it? but then there were other cases as well years ago due to accidents, It's called Foreign accent syndrome... I didn't really know such a thing existed. amazing speaking languages you just don't know. babbling foreign words to people that couldn't even understand you. It really creeps me out in away, though. imagine listening to your old voice and language just weakens you from the thought that you might never ever gain it back again. so weird.

Ruby Tuesday #1

goodness, me... call me crazy but I just had to put up the tree earlier this year. ;) I added more mini stockings, I don't buy those huge stockings coz first of all we don't have our own fireplace to hang it from. =) I usually put up the tree around after thanksgiving but since the lil one bugged me to put it up, ta-da! I haven't displayed the smaller ornaments, I got too tired that night. I couldn't forget one morning when I woke up my son and told him to check out something in the living room he was like "whooooahhh!" and got all giggly asking santa for extra gifts for his wishlist, oh my.... happy ruby Tuesday, everyone!

yummy figs

I envy people who have a big yard with a huge garden! That's the best part of having your own piece of land, you can always grow your own fresh produce right there and then. Most of my co-workers give me lots of fruits and vegetables when they harvest, I appreciate them giving me some eventhough I don't ask for it. One of my filipina co-workers, she's like a mom to me because she is so sweet and she constantly smiles when she sees me, we're very close she bakes me banana bread whenever she has time, too. One time she gave me a bag full of figs, and oh boy they taste so delicious, I can't really tell what it tastes like though, but she has her very own fig tree at their backyard given by her dad many years ago when she was a lot younger, when I asked what it was she told me it was called a fig, from the biblical tree, like the one we eat called fig newtons. As I tried it, it somehows resembles a kiwi fruit or a very soft guava, except it was really sweet. I told her someday I would like to own some of those Fig trees, my son loved it so did my mom except for hubbykins, he didn't really want to taste it at all fearing it wouldn't taste good. for those who want to own a fig tree, visit the Nursery at tytyga.com, browse their selections for they have hundreds to choose from, may be it for your own personal yard, your business or just for your home, rest assured that they got it!

wishing and hoping

Wishing and hoping. The title pretty much sounds like one of Chikai's blog hehee...

I just finished applying online for the temporary job announcement: Lead store associate that just opened at our store. I've been working for 5 years now at the commissary and I am just truly praying so hard that I can get it. GS-05 is a good position at our place, it's not bad. It's a temporary spot not to exceed 1 year and can be made permanent without further competition. A lot of people from work has been encouraging me to try it out, and I was surprised, blessed them :) one of them was L who is now a temporary supervisory associate alongside with M who owned the spot I am applying for, she really begged me to apply for it... aww, how sweet...

I am such a nervous wreck right now since I found out that the whole GS-04 from our admin office are going to apply for it not to mention they have all been here fr almost 15 to 20 years now, yikes.. I am trying my best not to be too confident about this, it's up to God whoever he chooses to get it. I'm contented with my current work, being in the cash cage handling a big sum of money, I'm the youngest that ever got the GS-04 teller spot back in 2005. A lot of my co-workers said that I was very lucky to get that spot since most of them had to work around 10 years the most just to get promoted. Customer Service is hard work. Well, we can all say that there is no easy job at all, right? plus, it's only a 10 minute drive from our place, avoiding the traffic jam (yeahh) *fingers crossed* but, whoever gets it there will be no hard feelings, I'll still wait for a slot that will be truly mine. ;)

these I like....

I love simple gifts like beaded jewelries, I have a passion for earrings and necklaces, but these will do... thank you! ;)

toy hunt # 1

This pink stuffed toy is among the favorites of my son besides of the other few stuffed toys he has. why PINK? don't ask me why. he just loves it eventhough I tease him that it's only for girls. we actually got this by mistake, in one of those toy vending machines, we were actually lucky we got that that day coz we never EVER get any at all. he says it's very soft and comfy. =D can't help but make a face everytime he hugs it and sings the song:

P is for Penelope,
Penelope, Penelope.
P is for Penelope,
a proud and pretty pig.
Penelope is pink and plump,
pink and plump, pink and plump,
Penelope is pink and plump,
a truly perfect pig.

over and over, and over again...

It just cracks me up coz he's singing that to a pink dog! lolz. funny!

been there, done that

Believe it or not, I've been there! losing weight has been one of my greatest challenges and I am still my own chubby self no matter what I do. no motivation and determination. these are the only keys on creating a healthy weight loss plan. without these you'll only gain more and more weight. It's almost 2009, I remembered on losing 13 lbs the first few months but when my brother passed away I wasn't really watching what I ate then, so I packed on the pounds again. I gotta stop this before I blow up more into a hot air balloon. It's not easy, folks. I keep on searching for the right diet, ut unfortunately nothing seems to be working. everything you take must have complete diet and exercise, nothing works like a miracle, people. I guess some diet pills out there works for some people depends on your body chemistry.

read more on how to lose weight at lab88.com, you got to be careful on what you take, reading helpful reviews will save you a lot, too. don't just purchase any kind you got to know the history and feedback on certain diet products and be sure to consult your doctor first before taking anything.

What I want...

...Is to splurge on elegant style jewelries! ha! like I need more, right? kidding aside, I sure love jewelries, fake or not I still wear them no matter what. I just feel so bare without any jewelry especially when at work, you know. I want a little spark with me anywhere I go. I usually go at my favorite shops at the mall and buy whatever I am interested in at the moment. I'm building up my wishlist right now and I might buy some of these wholesale fashion jewelry at dskeepsakes.com. I looked at so many designs and from different categories, I loved it so much and I enjoyed browsing their shop. maybe you are opening your own mini shop you might want to head on over there and buy your stuff with incredible low prices, not bad. I'm thinking of buying a few stuff for friends and families because christmas is just around the corner I still need to do a lot of stuff!

what is fibromyalgia?

When we hear fibromyalgia, what do you think it is? ask me that and I will have no clue what it is. seriously, We learn something new everyday, right? I just had to look it up online to see what it is because you don't really hear that word often and I am not really familiar with it. according to Wikipedia: Fibromyalgia (FM) is a disorder classified by the presence of chronic widespread pain and a heightened and painful response to gentle touch (tactile allodynia).

Now, based on what I read I think I've known some family friends back then who suffered from this and I am pretty sure this is what they were suffering from I just had no idea what it's called. visit www.ultrapms.com for more information on this type of condition and They have this kind of natural vitamin and mineral supplement called Fibrostol to help you prevent and relieve the pains caused by Fibromyalgia and CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME.

weekly roundup

happy 1st of November! and now time for another weekly roundup.

Well, I'll just give a summary of what happened in my week. tuesday morning I was heading back home from Walmart at Pearl City, as I was driving in the road I noticed a chunk of metal laying on the middle of my lane, it was too late to change lanes since there were lots of vehicles on the other side so I took the chance and heard a loud thug sound underneath. When I got the chance to park our van, I hurriedly took a look underneath if there was any damage at all. thank goodness, nothing happened to my car.

a few hours later after fetching my son up from school and my hubbykins when we were driving home all of a sudden the engine sounded funny! a bit later, we found leaks and they had to tow our van away since it wasn't safe to drive it! the next day they reported that it was a huge damage and it costs $2,400, so we called geico and everything went ok, at first they told us that we were going to pay $500 then the next hour we needed to pay $1,000! but they assured us that they will do everything they can to low it down a bit since 1,000 is too much. so we have a rental car at the moment. I'm telling you, our van is suffering from one accident to another. and with the expenses we are having at the moment, I am not gonna shop for material things just yet. I feel bad and I hate to shop when I know we need to pay for a lot of things, you know what I'm talking about. =(

Nathan had a field trip at Aloun farms and presented me with his lil cute pumpkin. I carved it the next day, here it is!

yesterday was a fun day! I worked in the morning from 10 to 4, a lot of people dressed up, a few witches here and there, bagger wore a zorro costume, one cashier she was african-american of course but she was cute coz she had a marilyn monroe costume, a gorgeous one I may say =). one spent $800 (heck no!) for a costume, he was around 18 or 19 I guess, it was some sorta robot costume, hard plastic and leather, and he was pretty tall so it was pretty freaky. a couple old ladies dressed as evil hags, one cashier dressed up as a vampire school girl from this manga she was reading, complete with fangs hehee. one was a prisoner who escaped from the corrections, and one with balck and white prisoner suit with her back saying caught from shoplifting with a serial number on her back, hahaa! I didn't bring my devil horns nor my witch hat, it was pretty hot at work esp. when you are running around like crazy! after that around 6 we went trick or treating by the navy housing, it turned out great since it didn't rain! you can read more about it HERE. well, that's about it! happy weekly roundup! pls join us HERE.

When it comes to protecting the environment, You can always count me in. I love our planet very much and we could all help each other by doing our very best to support groups that can save our environment. It's never too late to save it. It's really incredible how today's people are being serious on taking care of our environment. One of these groups are johnson and johnson, and they are creating positive actions by supporting nongovernmental organizations, their environmental partnerships include World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Harvard Medical School, Center for Health and the Global Environment, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the U.S. EPA National Environmental Performance Track (PT). Not only that, they monitor their Environmental performance among all categories within their Healthy Planet 2010 goals. They actually monitor how many percentages used on transparency, energy, water as well as paper and packaging are among the categories being monitored.

They are doing the best they can to preserve and make our planet healthier by producing products that are recyclable and making products more eco-friendly. because of their never ending support to make a difference for our enviroment, they are now frequently recognized by the enviromental organizations around the world, they have been awarded with many recognitions and with that we know how much they have helped making a difference to save our planet. read more about it at jnj.com and see what a great job they have done for our mother earth.

It's a weekly round-up!

Monday - I was off that day and hubbykins insisted I go shopping by myself since he was busy on some stuff at home, he pretty knows me well that I love to go window shopping and just browse around hundreds of sales at the mall. The very first thing that I did was drop sears and refund that craftsman 3 size pouches that costs $13.99. after that I went to the 2nd floor and visited Jeans warehouse and at Ross to see what new things they got up, went to purchase a few things for myself which you can read over HERE.

Tuesday - dropped Nate at school nothing really exciting happened this day since I was at work anyway.

Wednesday - It was such a great day at work! what can I say? great teamwork we had at team pearl! that just sums it up, no grouchy customers, everything went so peacefully and smooth. wish all days were like that. =)

Thursday - I had such a strange dream about Nate being late for school, that afternoon I visited the library to drop off the books that are due in 2 days (so I thought) came to find out I had to pay for $13.00 for my overdued books since the 21st. my oh my, never again I'm telling ya! I must've overlooked the date, what a shame. =( what a dream!

Friday - I had work on this day and dropped off Nate for his Aloun farms field trip that morning, they all had fun at the pumpkin patch. When Nate got home that afternoon he was really dead tired and slept right away, poor guy =(.

Saturday and Sunday - busy working days!

online trading

Lots of people from work talk about online trading because some of them do it's like a part time job for them, I really don't know how it is because I haven't experienced it ye. maybe a few more years, who knows I can try it myself see how it goes and see if it's really for me. Online trading has been a trend for quite some time now. But of course before you venture into online trading you must read everything first, because not all businesses can be successful within this field. you gotta know what to do first, after gathering up information and reading more about Online trading then you can open up an account at Firstrade.com. The internet is a great factor of having a successful business, that is of course if you know this field well. So whether you are thinking of getting into Online trading, always remember to weigh in your options and try to look at the long-term prospects within your business. good luck!

no sweat

It's been raining again for about a week now and I am lovin' it! I love rain, that is of course only when I am home. It's a bummer though because I won't be able to jog in this damp weather, it's quite windy, too so how do you expect to sweat it off? Hawaii's weather is really something else. One day it'll be sunny while the next day will be dark and rainy, totally unpredictable! Oh, how I wish we have more space here at home I'll definitely bug hubbykins to buy me one of these a treadmills at Nordictrack.com. As long as you have one of these exercise machines, you won't bother to worry missing your workout sessions. Unfortunately, a lot of my co-workers aren't really determined to use their treadmills, can you believe that? after purchasing it and using it a few times it ends up in their extra rooms, how sad is that? maybe one day I'll probably check out their exercise machines, you can actually compare prices and browse lots of models that you can choose from.
