15. Last time you cried? A few days ago before I went to sleep. I remembered my brother who died from cancer. :(

18. Would you ever date anyone covered in tattoos? I didn't want to but I found out that Hubby has one on the side of his thigh. What can I do? I'm in love.
19. What were you doing before this? reading articles about the Army basic training.
20. When is the last time you slept on the floor? Last september, the night before we left our Condo to check in the hotel because we were leaving Hawaii in 2 days.
21. How many hours of sleep do you need to function? at least 6 hours.
22. Do you eat breakfast daily? No. It depends. I usually have brunch though. :)

my future online shop

Yep! You heard it right. I'm planning on opening up my online shop in the near future. It won't be soon enough though. I am thinking of bringing in little homemade pieces a few at a time. Here are the following things I have in mind:

1. jar sets
2. picture frames
3. table runners
4. pillow cases
5. handbags
6. painted mugs
7. vases


Everything will be country, girly and Victorian inspired. I had a Japanese clay craft book when I was a kid, a gift sent from my dad when he used to live in Guam. So loved that book! In it were stuff all made with polymer clay like Buttons, flowers, jewelry, etc. I was so inspired with it, I just wished I've brought it along with me when I married and moved away from the Philippines. I hope that book is still alive. :( I'll start out small on ETSY, hopefully It'll be a successful one. I'm still thinking of a good name for my shop. Any suggestions? :)

That's what we keep on telling our son. Our son loves to share and hope he could carry that good value up until he has his own family to pass it on. We are so proud of our son. Parenting can be quite hard and while our children are growing up we encounter along the way things that can be challenging to us. But what's important is we learn from our mistakes and we start all over again. The way a child is raised really depends on the parents. It has to start from a good home and good role models that they can look up to. Lead by good example.

Speaking of sharing, I was reading the Yahoo headlines just a moment ago about an NFL star who gave so much joy to a little kid and I was reading some of the comments like majority of them were upset because most celebs don't really get it when it comes to making a person happy. They should share more of what they have since they are making millions, and I know most stars out there are reaching out giving 100% of their time to help out those in need. I admire stars who help out instead of splurging out on sports cars, mansions, partying, shopping, etc. How I wish we could have more people like them in this world.

It's TUMBLR TIME!

When tumblr started, I wasn't really into it. I didn't register for an account, the reason is I might just abandon it after a few days. I get bored easily. I love uploading photos, who doesn't? I wasn't really interested at that time. After a few years, A lot of people are having their own tumblr accounts, Now I checked it out again and woahh, I am hooked! It's an awesome site, I may say. Reese and Kit-kat

Guess who I met last night?? It was my old blog friend, Reese! She entered the commissary around 7:45 pm 15 minutes until closing time, she was with her hubby and her cutie son. I finally met her! we b after a foth hugged. After a few years on keeping in touch online I finally met the loving, sweet Reese! I knew I would meet her someday. Too bad none of us had cameras on us plus I was working and she was in a hurry. I would hope to see her again someday and maybe have lunch with her or something. Nice to meet you, sis Reese! I'm so gald to meet you finally in person. :) She's my 2nd online friend that I've met in person and they're both military wives.

Well, I decided to go for a new look and make things much much organized and easier... I finally switched to blogger's XML templates (goodbye classic). It's kinda hard tweaking it but I am enjoying my simple blogy blix theme. I still have to add a lot of sidebar contents and just in case you don't see your link there - please understand that I am still currently fixing my links, I am in the process of deleting broken links as well. so yeah...

I'm on 2 weeks leave, yayy! I am so happy coz I get to blog again, of course. finish some lil projects I need to do like the scrap page I am giving away for a co-worker/friend that is leaving for the Philippines around the 27th of July. and I'm currently making scrap pages for my supervisor's new office wall, she told me it was soooo bare! I'm truly honored, I may say. The little one's summer school ended today but I didn't make him go to school anymore due to his coughing. he had a fever the other day and yesterday he was fine since he went to school but now he is coughing really bad. All you can smell here in the house is Tylenol grape flavor and Vicks. poor guy... anyway, as I was saying, summer school has ended and now I have plenty of time to do the things I needed to do like organize the closets and the pantry and throw away or donate the things we really don't need around here. general cleaning, of course! and make time for the GYM, I am soooo happy coz after going back to the gym for 2 days I've seen results from my pants, can you believe that? I really need to stick to it, besides I don't have to pay for it like I used to back in 24hr fitness in 2004, It's one of the greatest benefits of working for the federal. I also need to finish my brother Gully's memorial website before Aug. 17, 2009 to mark his 1st death anniversary. I am also planning to revamp (how many times do I have to say this?) my This and that blog, I still wanna keep that and no plans of deleting it. hmmm... what else? I think that's it. I'll keep you guys posted... to my visitors who still come here and visit, I LOVE YOU, GUYS!!! Godspeed.

a belated merry christmas

How was everyone's christmas? I hope you guys had a good one. as for us, well you can say we had a lonely one since the little one isn't here as well as the in-laws. Can you believe I didn't cook anything for our Noche buena? I didn't even get to open my presents, I only opened it this afternoon when hubby came home from work. It was mostly food and kitchen utensils (lol) It was all good. hubby bought me a 10 MP fujifilm finepix z20.



I was supposed to get another sony cybershot since we gave my 6MP one to my MIL. but I am so lovin' this camera right here. it isn't bad at all, I tell ya! What I love most about it is it's mpeg video, It's amazingly clear! compared to my cybershot this one take's the cake. I can't really share the video that I took on christmas eve at work. since my card reader isn't working, I'll probably share it some other time. anyhoo, hubby was also supposed to buy me DSLR! but he told me I can only choose one, soooo I chose the compact point and shoot since it's very important to me. The DSLR can always come later, besides it's not practical to buy that yet. I'd rather spend it with other things, I had to weigh in my options to see if I really needed it or not =/.

and of course, I finally got my twitter exchange gift from my twitter mommy Dianeskie, maraming salamat, princess Di! I'm always wearing them, I swear! love na love ko sila talaga... I can't retrieve the pics just yet on my camera since my reader isn't working. and of course my baby caryl finally received hers as well, thank goodness! I'm glad she loved it!

UPDATED: In other news, last night around 7pm, the whole Oahu island had a power outage, due to lightning and rain I wasn't sure. I was currently shopping at Ross at the time. I was in the fitting room when I noticed the lights kept on flickering. As soon as I got to the checkout line the registers went down and I was so glad to get in line before the line became long. As I headed to Pearlridge mall (the building was just behind Ross) The whole mall just blacked out! of course a lot of screaming and yelling here and there mainly caused by silly teenagers! I quickly walked my way up to Sears since I had to take one floor down coz I parked in front of Sears, the place was just pure darkness, it was sooooo spooky! it also rained hard, I was shopping by myself since hubby was all alone sleeping at home. there was heavy traffic due to people getting out of the malls and heading back home. You can only see car lights, there was no power everywhere --- not even traffic lights! I spent my time using up the power of my laptop and just twittering on my phone. I slept around 1am and can you believe the power came on around 9:45 in the morning? this was way worse than the last time, The last power outage was around 2006 when an earthquake shook the whole hawaiian islands! ok, I'll be blogging again sometime soon, I need to finish my online tasks. It's about 1am here Hawaii time, I need to get some sleep now. have a blessed holidays to all! oh before I forget, I've sent the christmas cards FINALLY! for those who haven't received anything, you'll be getting something from me in the mail... wait lang kayo! iisa isahin ko kayo eh hehehee...

twilight fever

Helloooooooo!!! I'm baaaaack!! well, I actually got back online like a few days ago when I finally finished the 4th book from the Twilight Saga, Breaking dawn. damn, it was such a great story! (let me blab about it again, please...) I cried and I laughed, boy... if you haven't read it yet, I suggest you do... I promise, it's quite addicting. Once you start there's no way of stopping (look at me).

I actually took a break online, concentrated reading the whole saga. I also saw the movie, it was good.. but it wasn't that really impressive (sorry) I wanted to see so much more, but what can we do? it's only an adaptation, so all in all I still loved it. I prepared myself when I was about to see the film, no high expectations inside, I think I was only drawn to it by the characters' chemistry (lol) I just love Rob and Kristen so much as playing Edward and Bella. You fall in love with the characters so easily and in such a short time when you are done reading it, It sure was painful letting go. I think this is a record for me, reading 4 books in 2 weeks, I don't do that. when I read a book it takes me at least weeks coz I read it when I have time. but boy, for the whole saga, after doing my chores and my mommy duties I was always buried inside my book and my laptop reading in bed. hubby knows I'm addicted. It's like my own personal heroin (lol). yes. I still have the twilight fever and I hope it will pass on soon. Anyways, my hubbykins is always there to give me that crooked smile, heheee...

And I have great news, too! I finally met Winnie! she was currently waiting in line, and I was counting money at the time when all of a sudden somehow my head moved to the side to see outside the window, I couldn't believe my eyes-- is that WINNIE? I thought. I waved at her and she also waved back! I hurriedly excused myself out of the cash cage, I went to greet her, gave her a hug and said our hello's heheee. it was an awkward moment, lots of people in line, I also met her lovely and cute daughter, Winter. It was nice meeting her, it was my first time to meet a blogger in person. I just wished at that moment that we could have some time eat lunch or something, but there wasn't any time at all. bummer. That's ok, maybe next time! I am pretty sure we can still see each other again since she shop from where I work, she saw me first before I even got to see her (lol). I told her that I was really a big girl in person, and she was quite the petite size herself, ang cute nya hehee. sayang, walang picture noh, Winnie? sayang...

I hope someday I can still get to meet a lot of you. It's 3 am right now, I gotta catch some zzz, we're also preparing for my in-laws, they'll be arriving within a week and we're so excited to see them again. Will bloghop tomorrow (I know, I know, sue me) my apologies to all those who kept in touch always eventhough I wasn't active online, you know who you guys are....

...that it's a beautiful life! because of that Jon and Kate plus 8 commercial on TLC everisnce I've heard it I become so inspired all of a sudden, for some reason it makes me appreciate more of what I've got in my life right now. SO if you are feeling down, troubled or whatever... grab a chair, your fave cup of coffee or drink and just listen to this music, it's so nice, it will remind you of your family, I swear!

I didn't really know such a thing existed. amazing speaking languages you just don't know. babbling foreign words to people that couldn't even understand you. It really creeps me out in away, though. imagine listening to your old voice and language just weakens you from the thought that you might never ever gain it back again. so weird.

busy, busy, busy =)

hello there, peeps! how are you all doin'? for us here, it was one heck of a week, enjoyable as I may say. very busy week inspite of Nate not having school because of intersession week. tomorrow I am off and I have lots of things to do on my list. how am I gonna do all these in one day? time management, I guess. you know what I hate about myself? I just hate it when I sit in front of the computer I suddenly go blank and just start blog hopping from one site to another, sometimes I do comment but I just loooove to lurk around, you know and then all of a sudden I just realize I needed to finish a lot of tasks that day I end up not finishing it anyway. poor time management, huh? so tomorrow, I am on it! went to Kmart yesterday and hoooo boy, the store is filled with halloween and christmas decorations! oh goodness, why am I not surprised?? hahaa!

just went clothes shopping for hubby because all their items were on sale. I forgot to buy some battery operated tea light candles for the orange bags that I'm gonna turn into pumpkin lamps in our living room, lil Nate would love that for sure. I even forgot to buy some halloween icing decorations for cookies! hmm... and we went around to look for costumes, still a bit early for costume hunting, we couldn't see a perfect size for Nate since he would love to be Buzz lightyear. although he doesn't know if he wanted to be buzz lightyear, venom or batman... kids hehee.

What's on my to do list:

1. clean bathroom.
2. finish some online stuff.
3. invite Nate's friend for I'll be making halloween cookies.
4. organize our clothes and other storages.
5. exercise (lol) if this is still possible with my time =(.

I love bugs!

I always loved video games, eversince the first family computer back in the days, I'm pretty sure you guys know that. me and my brother are always excited to wait for saturdays when there is no school and we could just spend our whole afternoon playing video games, I loooove Mario bros. sooo much! Eversince I grew up, my love for video games just disappeared, I guess I fell out of love (lol) well not entirely... The last time I played video games was back then when I was pregnant with my son, that was 2002 while hubby was working on something else I was in my MIl's room concentrating on playing my ever favorite game, Time busters where it features Taz and Bugs bunny go back in time and find the gem for Granny's regulator. I miss this game so much! I had a great time, wish I had this so I can be able to play it again. This was the best video game I've ever played (lol), besides from Mario bros. that is.

Just recently my son has developed an addiction through Video games, too. He's so different now, he knows what to do at every level. he doesn't seek for our help, he'll be so impatient sometimes and everytime he says "I can't" we try to talk to him and tell him that practice makes perfect which was really good for him. if he's not playing with his papa's psp, he's on the computer online playing on Nickelodeon, pbskids or Disney, then he'll hop onto his ps2, a few days ago it was sooo funny coz I played with him, we played harry Potter and the goblet of fire and it was a great bonding time once in awhile. It's almost school time for Nate, can't believe my boy is growing! shoots, we need to regulate his video games, too.

I had a great time visiting blogs today, will visit more tomorrow, I only comment on posts that I relate to, but I do my rounds.. you know that! Thank you for all the birthday greetings, guys!! sorry, I couldn't get back at y'all. I was supposed to share a lot of videos but Vimeo is taking too darn long to convert my video, there's only one for now . maybe a few pics of us on my birthday, too.. well the day before my birthday where we just spent some time at the park, just drove around town, doing the usual stuff, just decided to watch a movie "fool's gold" which was really funny, I love kate Hudson and Matt, really funny movie.

I worked on my special day, I know.. silly me didn't request a day off for the 6th. but anyways, it was a cool day. my mom, brother and Son went to see Cirque Dreams, which is a 90 minute acrobatic show at the Blaisdell center last night while I was at work. We picked them up around 9:30 pm, according to them the show was great! not bad, my brother got the free tickets at the Hospital, pretty cool. too bad we weren't there, though.

happy Tuesday

Yay, it's blogging time once again. how's everyone doing? for us here we're doin' fine, it's just one heck of a day, if you ask me. seriously now, It was a great day for us since I was off, can you believe this is my only day off after working 7 days straight? yeah. bummer. I'm off to work again tomorrow, blehh.. but I only work 12 to 6:30 since the store is doing inventory, so yay for that.

all we did today was watch Smallville, yes oh yes we're Smallville fanatics hubby finally completed his Smallville dvd collection, I can't believe that the season 6 costs around $54, but that's ok, it was worth it anyway. glad Walmart had the rest of the seasons for $19.99 each, isn't that great?? love it! I know some of you don't like smallville, but what can we do, right? Everybody has their own taste of tv shows. It's just so fun to watch, the whole family's hooked on it! Can't wait for season 7 dvd to come out since we don't have CW on tv.

Notice our skin being tan? We visited Hawaiian waters last April 7 and it was so much fun, I tell ya! after that day my body just ached so bad, but I loved it so much. When they left a few days later I dropped about 5 lbs. not bad, I didn't need to starve myself. notice me being so chubby in the pics? terrible! (sniff) so far I dropped a total of 13 lbs. wish me luck that I can lose more. =D yesterday while shopping I was wearing a denim skirt my hubby noticed that I was kinda losing weight, I guess you can't really see it now since 13 lbs. is way too little.. but of course I'll just post a pic of a before and after pic when I lose a lot. (sighh)

and oh, I'd like to extend my congrats to Scart for giving birth to a healthy cute and adorable baby girl, here's to you (cheers) Welcome Freya Ysabel! and to Valerie for having another adorable niece in her family. =D but wait, Monica also just gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Mikaela! welcome to the world, babies!

I would like to extend my deepest thank you's to all of my online sisters out there, thank you so much for all the love and support you guys always give when I was down. It's easy talking to friends who are far away, I don't know... maybe because I really don't know them much personally but I know deep inside I feel a lot closer to them and I know that they do listen to me. I have lots of friends offline but I do keep myself private keeping my own life away from people who pries on other people's business. It's really true what they say that you can have a gazillion friends but you will always know who you can count on, I have a lot but I can say I only have a handful who I can truly trust and be my friends forever... again, to all of you, thank you!

proud pinay + proud mom

I saw this website called Happy slip yesterday from Scarty and she's right her website is an interesting one.. and take note: a HAPPY one! and ate Scart is right, she also kinda looks like ate Noreen. I just finished watching a few videos today, I'm not even done yet.. the way she portrays things in her videos and how she acts out all the characters are just superb. so talented. she's a real person at heart, you can really tell from a person right away. I enjoyed watching her videos, because everything that she acts out in her videos are pure FUN! and it's true. I came from a filipino family and just by watching her videos makes me remember everything that I experienced with my fanily as well back then. and that goes for our everyday life, too eveything is just pure reality in what goes on in our lives. you gotta go watch her videos, you'll be laughing your head off, seriously. she makes us filipinos proud. you go, girl!

and in other news, I'm also a proud mom! my lil boy showed me how to do his name so I thought why not record that moment where he writes his name without looking at me at every second he writes a letter not being sure if he did it right, I took videos of him writing his name before but those took a long time for him to complete his name. but today he just made me a proud mom. the other night me and his papa were listening to him reading a few sentences, writing his name a few times in a minute, counting numbers, writing numbers and adding them. he's almost there, thank God...

I'm not really a patient mom but thank goodness my hubby is here to guide me coz I easily blow up and my temper just ruins everything. (sigh) the joys of motherhood, it's just great experiencing the milestones of our children. pure bliss...
