thank you, God

We went to Waikiki on the 26th, walked around and took pictures. As we were walking on our way to the Fort De russy parking lot, this person appeared in the middle of nowhere, he was Jamaican, I think, dark skinned, tall person with dreadlocks. he was wearing a decent shirt and shorts with no slippers on. He was walking quietly his face down. I was looking down while walking because Nathan was in a stroller, I was scared, you never know! then as soon as he passed by me he stopped by the bushes and plucked something... a yellow hibiscus flower! and quickly gave it to my mom, mommy said thank you but instead of replying 'you're welcome' he only responded with a soft 'mahalo' (mahalo means thank you in Hawaiian), then off he went. so weird! after that, we all looked at each other and Rachel suddenly said 'he must be and angel!' the flower was yellow and big, its petals were widespread. so pretty! we noticed on our way to the parking lot that most of the hibiscus flowers were already closed since it was night time already. My mom informed Rachel the day before we went to Waikiki that she was hoping that Gully would appear in her dreams carrying a flower to know that he's happy. so weird but true! It was a special night for us. When I saw my watch, guess what time it was? 9:30 pm.

Hello, friends! how are you all doing? for us here, we are doing fine so far. It's been a tough time ever since my brother passed away. but we are trying our best to recover, with God's guidance I know we will overcome these trials being sent our way. My brother's girlfriend Rachel arrived here in Hawaii around Aug. 15th, As soon as we fetched her at the airport that's when we got a call from my mom that Gully is about to be transferred to St. Francis Hospice down by Ewa beach, everything was right timing. Gully was still ok, he still got to sing, chat on the phone, talk story with us but all of a sudden that Saturday the 16th, he started to feel weak and started to talk about things that you know a person would when he is coming close to his end of days. It freaks us out every time he talks about himself leaving us. His request was to be cremated and wanted us to throw his ashes to the sea, which we didn't like, later he told us that we can do whatever we want then as long as he is not to be put in a coffin.

I went home around 6:00 pm that Sunday, the 17th of Aug. He was asking in a weak voice what he would wear on his funeral. I went home and looked through his clothes, no white long sleeve button down shirt so I rushed to buy one for him, I was speeding to the freeway and somehow I wanted to go back to the Hospice, so after preparing for my brother's funeral clothes, hubby ironed it himself since he wasn't satisfied the way I ironed it. to think I wasn't planning to go back since he was still doing good. my mom called me one more time and I told her I was on my way. boy, as soon as I got there his eyes went wide eyed and I knew for sure he waited for me one last time before he left his body. Gully's body was completely numbed already. Rachel told Gully that once he sees angels he should raise his hands, and We saw him did it! he raised both hands and said 'PRAISE THE LORD!'.

That night, Gully's friend who was a pastor stayed there until Gully's last breath, along with his wife and a friend, a missionary from Indonesia. Me and Rachel held his hands until he stopped breathing. Soothing heavenly music was being played in the back, that really broke my heart to pieces because I know any minute he will be gone forever. we kissed and hugged him like there was no tomorrow . little by little his body went cold. we kept on listening if his heart wasn't beating any longer. my mom kept on breathing hard and praying that Gully would soon leave so his suffering would stop already. She couldn't barely see my brother's condition, it was so hard for her. the time was 9:30 pm, A sunday. His favorite day since he loved going to church so much.

He was cremated Aug. 21, 2008. we held a little service for about 30 minutes just the 6 of us. As soon as we walked in the Chapel anticipating what he would look like, there he laid on gurney with lots of blankets and a green quilt over him, he looked so peaceful, like he was only sleeping. We sang and listened to a few bible verses. We couldn't believe he's now gone. for good. the next few days We toured Rachel to the places Where Gully visited here in Hawaii. At home, whatever Gully did that's the way Rachel did. my mom found comfort in her since she was the closest person Gully had in his heart so mom felt that. We donated almost all his stuff to the Cerebral palsy foundation. I am pretty sure Gully would understand that. If we had the space permanently we wouldn't give anything away in a heartbeat. I kept most of my brother's stuff for safekeeping and at the same time will serve as his memories to me.

I am currently planning on his memorial page, Rachel is willing to help me out with it, too. She leaves the Island on Sept. 3rd, along with my mom going to San Diego then to the Philippines. As hard as it feels for us her leaving us, too I just hope we'll all be alright. I don't want her to go far away from me. but since she can't stand being here all alone, I even offered to help her find work so she can be busy. but I couldn't convince her. even spending a few months, maybe a month or two so we can save money for her trip back home. We're in a financial crisis right now since we paid a lot for my brother's funeral. I love my brother and I didn't really care if we did spend a lot since she has no work and Gully didn't had any work either, it was all up to us. I just hope she appreciated everything we did for her. In spite of Gully being gone, she should realize I am still here. We love her. but then We'll just be praying to the Lord to guide her whatever decisions she make.

Thank you so much for all the greetings you guys gave. Most of you saw his pictures there, I didn't share it here anymore since most of his pictures are uploaded on my friendster account. again, thank you. May God bless you all for the kindness you guys have given to me.

what happens in Vegas

No, no, no! I haven't been there yet, if you ask me. it's always my dream to see the city of lights and The City That Never Sleeps. I'd like to try my hands on slot machines, if I ever have a chance maybe beginners luck, who knows. but you know, When you plan your vacation especially if you have a toddler on board, Vegas is not on our top list, not yet at least. Come on I don't think bringing kids to vegas is a top priority, as a mom that's the way I think. When you think of kids, you think of Amusement parks or other educational places out there. Vegas is the best vacation spot for adults, people who wants to get away from everything and just have plain fun. I am no gambler and will never be! but to me Vegas is such a cool place to visit, you know I just love to experience the place, see lots of cool bright lights flashing everywhere, nice shows and concerts of famous people, just about anything you can think of that can happen in Las Vegas. Once more, let me tell you that Shermanstravel.com can help you with their Las Vegas travel deals. There's more to it than playing around in casino's, go food tripping with their world-class restaurant scene and don't ever forget your shopping time. Well, wish I was there.

going away

Me and hubby are planning on spending a few days in San Diego On December to meet up my mother-in-law and some relatives as well, it's been a few years since We last visited them. my Mother-in-law would want us to spend Christmas and New years with them but that would be so impossible since we're not allowed to be on leave on the Holidays. We'll see about that. We need that few days after all we've been through, we need a break from all of the problems we just had. with God's guidance we will get through this. It will be therapeutic for us to go on a short vacation, we'll probably bring Nathan to Disneyland since it was around 2005 the last time he visited Disneyland in Tokyo. Well, are you planning to take one yourself? Why don't you visit Shermanstravel.com, they have lots of travel deals in store for you. take a look at their package selections, read Hotel reviews to see which place you want to stay at. compare rates from hotels, packages and cruises. Plan away that perfect dream vacation you are waiting for, hurry -you just might stumble upon a great deal right now.

We are very overwhelmed with our expenses nowadays, a lot of money is coming out of our pocket (whew) but that's ok, it was all worth it anyways. Just recently, our caravan's brake pads went bad and hubby rushed it the next day to our dealer, it was just in the nick of time, too. So anyways, me and hubby are thinking of changing our auto insurance because the insurance we have is such a pain in the neck, it's not even funny anymore. Well, who am I kidding anyway? I am pretty sure a lot of people out there are experiencing the same thing right now. If you want to find the right auto insurance might as well visit onlineautoinsurance.com and take an online auto insurance quote so you can easily compare car insurances from a variety of companies. fill out a quote comparison, it will only take a few minutes and you will easily find cheap prices for the best coverage you need. well, good luck with that.. I might ask for a quote, too, I hope it can help us.

farewell, Gully

Gulliver Raymond Bena
June 30, 1986 - Aug. 17, 2008 (9:30 pm - sunday)

He joined our Savior Jesus Christ on a sunday, his favorite day. we love you so much, Gully. thank you for being there always, thank you for the memories, you will be always loved and cherished... we love you, kapatid! mamimiss ka namin! I'm pretty sure he is happy now and HEALED in the arms of God. I can't believe he started strugglng around 12 noon yesterday. We all visited him and I even went home because we thought that he would still be ok. I bought him a white long sleeve shirt and I was speeding through the freeway (which I don't normally do) I wanted to be back home asap and drive again to the Hospice by Ewa beach. in a matter of minutes my brother passed away... they told me that he kept on asking for me, my brother waited for me until his last breath. thank you, Gully! thank you for everything... we love you!

I'll tell the whole story when I'm completely fine. right now I still can't believe he's gone... We are all so heartbroken yet happy because he is not suffering anymore. God bless to each and every one of you who has been supporting me and my family after all these years and all these months. even with the new found friends we had, thank you to all!

Love, Kit and family

school recap time

As promised, since It's been a long overdued task I'm here to share these pics of my son's school day experience. Their classes started so early, can you imagine that? 29th was the meeting for the parents and teachers after that went to our son's classroom and boy, it was so cute! I felt like a dwarf in the Snowhite and the 7 dwarves story (lol) lil chairs, lil tables, toys, books, you name it. so cute.

Nate did a good job on his testing, thank God. Their first day of school was Aug. 1st actually it was only a half day but the 5th was their first full day of classes from 7:55 am to 2:10 pm, wednesdays they get out around 1:15 pm.

Nathan waiting for his turn for his testing time. (July 29, 2008)

getting ready for 1st day of school, half day only for group A. how exciting! (Aug. 1, 2008)

Nate's school, very simple =)

School is close to the mountains so they really have fresh cool breeze coming down.

father and son. my special boys who earns my heart. =D

As the bell rings... lil reminders for the lil munchkins.

off they go! see ya later, lil buddy!

It's such a nice feeling to see my boy so excited to go to school. he had a fever from his 1st full day of school, that night was terrible! he was as hot as an iron, I tell ya. Some moms told me that their lil kids who went to pre-k got sick the first few days, it was normal. I was happy to meet a few moms there, they were all so nice! everyday Nate had homework and they are concentrating on writing the letter A, I am so thankful Nathan knows the uppercase and lower case letters so he's not having a hardtime catching up, thank goodness. We do our homeworks right away, I read to him everyday and I may say he's getting good at it, reading is key indeed!

unfortunately, what saddens me the most is he had his first time out =/ because he got so playful and somehow had hurt one of his classmates. The teacher told me the first few days Nate was really shy and wasn't really opening up but that day he was just enjoying himself and getting to be a lot more comfortable. TODAY was another day. The teacher called me and told me my son (yesterday and today) was caught in the bathroom playing with water splashing himself and the others with water around their restroom break. If he had done this yesterday she should at least make the effort to tell me about it yesterday at least it was supposed to be prevented from happening again today. I'm going to talk to her tomorrow. We keep on talking to our son about the wrong things he had done in school, It's hard =/ but boys will be boys, I guess. hubby says that Nate's behavior got it from him. Everytime I drop him off I make sure we go through the terms we had just discussed coz, My Lord.... I don't wanna see myself in the principal's office! Nate knows the consequences, we just gotta be firm, no.. wait a minute, I'm the one who's gotta be firm since I'm the softy one here.

I'm proud of myself, too! why? because I can get up early in the morning now! I don't feel tired as I used to be, I sleep earlier now and I get up without worries. but goodness, work is only a week away, I get back on the 21st after being on leave for 3 weeks (my 1st time taking leave this long). SO this is what a SAHM feels like?? It's pretty good, although I still like working now that my lil boy is in school, things got terribly boring around here. Well, I'll end this for now... thank you for reading, folks! God bless to all.
NEW LAYOUT, at last! it's been weeks since I've made this theme, I still loved my background so I just had to change the header as usual there are love birds now (lol) the previous one had a blue bird now there are 2 birds.. @ ate Riss, I just realized pareho tayo ng birdie theme tweet, tweet) nagulat ako nung binago mo layout mo, may bird sa header, so cute!

hurry, hurry

Just as I am about to update for my real post, I have about 30 minutes to pick up my son in school. cripes. ok, I'll be back later to update this. bye, friends!

Dolphin pride!

Yep, it's school time once again and I am sooo happy and proud of my lil boy. He started to go to school on the 29th of July. He did well on his testing date around the 31st and he did well, he made his mama and papa proud, as well as the grandparents of course (my MIL, the most) because she values education very much and she wants all children to excel in school as much as possible. Nate's first full day was around the 5th, I'm glad he didn't cry, to think he didn't go to preschool, how happy we were! I have pictures to share but that will come on my next update probably tomorrow, coz I am so sleepy right now need to get up at 2:00 am have to drop off hubby at work, wake up at 6:00 to get Nate ready for school, school is just 5 minutes away from us, about a mile away. pretty neat school, I love it! I don't think we'll transfer him to Aliamanu anymore, he loves the dolphins on his shirt, proud to be a Dolphin alright. I'm on leave for another week, had to talk to my supervisor on extending my leave coz I only asked for 2 weeks because of my mom being at the Hospital. My brother is in a critical stage right now, he's still at the Hospital, poor guy. thank you for the continued prayers and support, you guys will be in my prayers and my heart as well. God bless...

Fashionably hot

As much as I want to own designer stuff, I hate to say it but I can't really see myself parading down the street with gorgeous designer goods, I just can't. Why, because I can't really afford it and it's not practical for me and my family. When I'm at work and we talk about expensive stuff and I would share my moments, they would tell me that I'm doing the right thing because one day I can buy all the things I want in life, it's just right now family comes first. They told me that they went through the same thing where they couldn't afford to buy the best things in life because they always thought of their families, but now they can pamper theirselves with gorgeous clothes, shoes and bags, as well as elegant pieces of jewelries whenever they wanted. I guess that's life, I always admired fashionable people since I love fashion very much since I love to draw clothes myself, I pretty much appreciate the fashion business and someday I would love to be working in that field, who knows I can always dream, right? well, back to designer talk.. If you love Oscar de la Renta I know I do, you might want to take a look at MarissaCollections.com, It's among the favorite online shops of designer lovers, take a look at products like pumps, sandals, sunglasses and more. boy, would I love to own one.

a silver lining

I'm not really a gamer to tell you the truth, oops, wait a minute.. I already told you guys that. my bad. but yeah, back when I was younger me and my brother are die hard gamers, when the day I turned 16 I just realized games aren't for me. It wasn't long ago when we bought our PS2, it's been 2 years I believe since we bought it, around that time my son wasn't really into games yet because we let him use his little game boy advance instead. My brother and my hubby are the gamers here, my son just recently got addicted to plaing video games and, my Lord, we sure had a tough time taking it away from him because of school. SO anyways, I was browsing around this website at Buy.com, they have this PlayStation 2 System, I think it's redesigned and oh, it's in silver color! I love silver better, I don't know why. but for sure we won't be getting that. because my hubby couldn't find any more reason to get rid of our own ps2, why bother buying another one, right? Well, if you are interested head on now to Buy.com!

to believe or not to believe

I know this is kinda weird, but do any of you guys believe in supernatural beings? Well, I got a reply from my good friend's mom back in the Philippines. They just found out about my brother's condition, I also told them about how their neighbor who was of old age had the very same tumor on the same area at the same time. really weird. When we told my hubby about this he joked that the place must be cursed or something, my mom and my brother rents that 2 storey apartment with a large backyard with a tree and some of my mom's garden vegetables. My hubby's aunt owns that property.

a lot of people kept on telling us that a mangkukulam (witch) had cast a spell on my brother then my mom suddenly realized she had a friend who was quite old and sold fresh vegetables, one day she told a story to my mom about how her daughter's bf who is ready to leave for the states was about to leave her daughter, but she told that boy not to leave or else he might regret it coz she might cast a spell on him. and he never left her daughter for the fear of something might happen to his life. one day, she visited my mom and asked for a picture of my brother, maybe for souveneir or something but my mom refused to do so. That old lady was also friends with their neighbor who just died a year ago because of the same tumor as my brothers.

SO moving on, I got a message yesterday and my friend told me to call right away if I can coz it was very important. I had to ask what it was, surely this morning I opened my friendster and my friend's mom explained everything to me. As soon as she read my message she rushed to an albularyo (herbalist) and told my brother's name to the old man, he wrote the name on a white piece of paper, holding the candle and saying a prayer saying the name of my brother he placed it on top of the name and all of a sudden the old man became unconscious. his head bowing, holding my brother! the old man's voice was an old woman, she was an engkantada (somewhat like a fairy) she was already old because the way the old man was really hunched like an old lady. according to my friend's mom, the old lady lives in my mom's backyard, she got hurt in the shower while my brother was there, she even pointed out where she got hurt, on her chest and her back. my friend's mom asked what was the best thing my brother's family could do to forgive him, the old lady blew the paper with my brother's name on it and she said the best thing was if a family member would come to my mom's house and say a prayer, ask for forgiveness while throwing rice grains in the bathroom where she got hurt. she didn't ask for anything else but for forgiveness. They saw the candle wax formed my brother's name. It gave me chills just reading about it. how did they know about the bathroom? the bathroom is facing the backyard with some trees and some plants. so that was probably her home. the bathroom is a bit small to move around, so that might be it.

As much as I hate to believe it, my friend's mom told me that a lot of her good friends and business owners from our City go to that herbalist for help, and he was really good, doesn't ask for any payment or anything at all. and her friend from Australia was sick and just by using her picture was treated just like that. There's no harm in trying that's what she told me. oh well, I know it's too late for that but with God's help, nothing is impossible. yesterday, I cooked pinakbet and brought him some at the Hospital, he hates hospital food and I couldn't believe my eyes, for the first time ever he ate a lot! he gained back his appetite, thank God. but my mom told me this morning that last night my brother was crying in pain and I think maybe that was the time the old lady back in the philippines using the old man as a medium blew the name of my brother on the piece of paper. weird, huh? I grew up with my mom with a lot of superstitious stuff, I do believe in some and I do it for the sake of being safe. whenever we step on grasslands or just walking through or sometimes if we throw something on the sidewalks my mom would say tabi tabi po to show respect and warning that you are coming so you won't hurt them while you're walking. =/

thank you again for all your prayers, friends... God bless you all!

a sad one...

Thank you for the visits, kind comments and support, thank you all for the friendship and prayers. THis is a long post for I will be taking out all my emotions out. so please bear with me... It's up to you if want to read on...

We just finished talking to the doctors yesterday, as well as one of his nurse supporters back in Kapiolani. My brother was admitted at Queens medical center. It was a close door meeting, and after they told us that they will stop the treatment, radiation and chemotherapy we broke down in tears. He will be admitted in a Hospice care, they say there is no more cure for it because the Cancer is rapidly increasing among his body, the cancer is not responding to the treatments anymore, if they continue to do so it'll only destroy his organs and might kill his system and might kill the person as well.

In order for him to live longer, he will be put in Hospice care. according to the doctors a lot of people have a lot of misconceptions on what is a Hospice, I did read some of it and my Husband knows a lot about it, too and he described it for us after the doctors talked to us, it's a 24 hour care either at home or a place filled with equipments and full care of people around you. It's not a place that people who are close to their end of days. We cried so much, JOn wanted to cry too but he made himself strong in order for us to be strong, too. Gully is a special person. One of the nurses even went to the meeting eventhough she wasn't needed. After the Nurse and the doctors hugged us, they always whispered in our ear how Gully was a great patient they ever had and how they loved him so much. this touched our hearts. my brother doesn't cry, never did I see him cry. he wasn't an emotional one just like me and mom. he's a warrior. because of God he was strong, full of faith. never stops and never gives up. It's the Lord's will, like what he always tells us.

There's still a lot ahead of him. I just hope God will grant him longer life. we still need more memories to share with him. He is my son's bestfriend (according to Nathan, "uncle Gully is my bestfriend". After a year of his treatment We thought it was the end of it, his plans earlier before that he wanted to join the Navy just like dad and the rest of our relatives. but because of Cancer, I don't think that dream will become a reality after all. He went on a camp around June for about a week, he informed us that a bump appeared close to his neck, so he was on radiation every single day. after 2 weeks he went on a trip to Las Vegas, and with the help of family friends they toured him around the states. but according to him, the trip wasn't to blame for he had a great trip! nothing beats that, says my husband. At least you get to experience touring places you haven't been. he deserved it so much.

He spent at least 2 and a half weeks in the Mainland and got his call that he was coming back the next day because he had a large bump on his back. When he came home he looked so terrible! he was so fine when he left, and now he looked so pale, skinny and weak. He was coughing so badly, we found out he had liquid in his lungs, and one of his lungs collapsed because a tumor appeared on it and it was constantly making liquid making him hard to breathe. MY bestfriend Joan from Korea even called me around 10:30 last night, I was so touched on what she told me, wishing she was the one with cancer because she too had it and it disappeared, a miracle one for her for she wasn't happy with her life but then she had her daughter she had a purpose in life after all, but I guess God has his plans for each of us, so we have to trust God and not quit. We borrowed our life from God and he has the authority to get it back whenever he wanted. I can't believe my brother is leaving us soon to be with our Saviour. I thank him for everything and for the cheer and joy he has given us. I am currently making a webpage specially for him. I'll end this for now.

What Is Rhabdomyosarcoma? you can read on for more info.

friends, I really need all your prayers right now for I just talked to my brother's doctor awhile ago and they needed to talk to us on the 29th in the afternoon, I think it's very serious since according to the doctor a lot of tumors are popping up all over his body. They won't tell us the plan so I know it's pretty serious that they talk with the whole family. oh, God help us... we can't really bear the pain right now... =(

I think Nathan's good in memorization, thank God. my leave starts on the 29th for 2 weeks, hubby as well will take his leave for about a week. As for Nate's lessons, So far so good he's been catching up real well with his readings. I was looking for phonics toys at Wal-mart, I'm telling you I am phonics crazy nowadays. ate Rissa is right, phonics is the best way to learn how to read, I can't believe how fast her lil boy reads now. I'm trying my best to teach Nate since he didn't enter preschool. I'm so crazy on buying all kinds of phonics books, like the other day I bought some phonics flash cards, we have this one book from my MIL it's called My phonics readers it has 6 stories with a cd that you can listen to, and it was so great it taught Nate the basics of reading. so far he's getting there. (crosses fingers) hopefully he'll pass his test on the 31st, wish him luck!

Weekly round up #1

For the Week of July 07-July 13, my first time joining so join in the fun HERE

MONDAY- Nothing interesting happened this day, just plain work, I may say.

TUESDAY- Went to work and rented the movie, Pursuit of happyness, this true to life story made me cry so bad, it's a truly inspiring story if you ask me. my eyes were completely flooded with tears, if you haven't watched it yet-please do and it will surely touch your heart!

WEDNESDAY- tears, again! don't ask me why but I found out later that day that the monthly visitor had just arrived. cripes.

THURSDAY- We went to see the movie "Nim's Island" at the dollar theatre at restaurant row, pretty cute movie, afterwards went to our fave store Wal-mart and shopped for things we needed at home and plus school supplies that we were still missing for Nate's school.

FRIDAY- Went to Wal-mart once again, tried to look for mom's yarn called Red heart cherry chip, sad to say, they're still out of stock! ridiculous. It's been weeks. but look what I've got! lucky me!!

After all these years this is my first time getting something out of a vending machine! me and hubby never had any lucks on those toy vending machines, we always waste a lot of money on it and it'll only leave you frustrated because the metal hand wouldn't grab any toy at all! when hubby found out about it whe we got home hubby was amazed and he said it was almost impossible to get one, he even joked that I probably bought it somewhere and asked Nate where I bought it =P.

SATURDAY and SUNDAY- nothing has happened for these 2 days, so here I end my round up.

Shoes from Ecco

My favorite rubber shoes just had a hole in it, how sad. I haven't gone shoe shopping yet so I had to wear my running shoes that I bought from Sports Authority. I really need a new one, I found some great ones at footwearetc.com, As I was browsing their site Ecco shoes are very interesting but seriously, I don't know if I can buy a pair since the prices are over the top of my budget. but like what they say is you always have to depend on the quality of an item, why buy a cheap one when you can only use it a few times then you can toss it out. At least pricey shoes can be used for a long time. Anyways, I like their selections, nice and classy footwear for men and women out there. But they have some selections that are on sale, and I may say the prices are fair enough. very affordable, not bad for good quality footwear.

baby bump-bump

I like this tag. thank you ate Yen for passing it to me. It gives us the opportunity to share our baby bump pics to the world (as for the people who hasn't seen you being preggy) I've never shared this pics ever on my blog, I'm very embarassed to tell you the truth coz I don't have much pics when I was going through my pregnancy, hated taking pics of myself I look terrible and I felt terrible but being pregnant the first time just made me really special to everyone, really grateful to everyone especially to my family and my in laws who were very protective and showered me with gifts and food, that explains why I have gotten so big! especially hubby who went through a lot because of my baby blues moments, but he was always there spoiling me one after another.. partly my fault coz I was pretty overwhelmed and I didn't really took care of myself that's why I blew up like a balloon, every month I gained weight... and (gasp) will you look at my nose?? arghh, I felt really ugly (I'm not sayin' I'm pretty) but you get the picture. ;)

SIL This was taken around Dec. 2002, I was 5 weeks preggy.

Had a new haircut, still around Dec. me and my SIL went to the salon (her treat) I had to cover my chest with a lil something, thanks to the flash ;)

Spent some time in Manila with SIL and the kids, at Enchanted kingdom. boo hoo coz I couldn't go on rides.

at 5 months preggy, with Gully and my sister Athena.

at 6 months, with my brother Gully.

at 8 months, almost ready to pop! me and hubby at the 4th of July celebration in Pearl harbor.

I am tagging these wonderful ladies to show their baby bumps: Winnie, ate Girlie, ate Noreen, ate Lutchi, JennyR, Kuku, ate Liza and ate Marie(vanidosa).
I've never seen their preggy pics yet, so join in the fun!

In other news: my son's officially going to Salt lake elementary school, we were denied twice at Aliamanu because of the reason: filled to capacity. I really don't care anymore, me and huby talked about it, whatever school he's granted he might do better in that school. we went to the informational meeting for parents and teachers around the 15th, and all the kids were there, how cute, for the first time I saw my son interact with other kids. such an exciting feeling! now on the 29th (testing time) me and hubby are going on leave to help guide our son's first 2 weeks of school. Everything's ready and labeled all we got to do is buy uniforms on the 24th. =D (sooo happy)

pet lovers reunite

Eversince birth I was a pet lover, and will always be. unfortunately I don't have any pets of my own at the moment. maybe someday, it's too expensive to have a pet in the house right now because of all the expenses we're having, especially our condo doesn't allow it, it's agains't condo rules. I still enjoy reading pet blogs, browsing for animal pictures and watching animal planet on tv. I have found a great website, it's a pet community where everyone can share their pets online. not only that, this Pet Social Network helps everyone that has pets or if you are willing to have a pet this site is great because they share tips and products, as well as videos and pictures and a lot more information on pets. but this is not just any pet community, Zootoo has a mission and it's for a great cause, As long as you use your account by posting photos, reviews and all other discussions you accumulate posts and from there you can help them dedicate points to various causes such as the Zootoo House Shelter Makeover program. We can all help by participating, each click and each point makes a difference in a pet's life.

Find people that you can interact with, have fun and at the same time help the site with it's main goal, to help pets around the world. Zootoo is free, you aren't obligated to any charges. They have different promotions that help shelters and rescue groups around the country, they donate up to $1 million to a deserving community shelter. So, pet lovers come join Zootoo the best online pet community and let's all help save the animals out there! remember, you don't need to have a pet in order to join.

Questions of the Week ( 2 )

1. List your 2 fave site or blog/s and link us up! Tell us why!
* Navy federal credit union and friendster I've been a loyal person to these sites eversince time in memorial (lol) and yes, it's where I can see our money coming in every 2 weeks (you gotta love it) and as for friendster, it's where you can possibly see the updates of almost everyone including friends and families.

2. List two bad habits that you have. Now tell me which one you would be willing to give up first.
* argh, sleeping late and waking up late. promise this will change, I mean waking up late coz soon dear Nate will be going off to school, I need to wake up early every day.

3. What spice or seasoning is your favorite? Which one can you add to anything and make it taste better?
* Bragg soysauce. that's my brother's seasoning since it has no preservatives or anything, plus it tastes so much better than regular soysauce.

4. What is your birthstone? Do you like it? Or you want to change it?
* Emerald. love it! plus, green color means money hahaha!

5. Do you know what’s your name means? What?
* Queen of Thailand (at least that's where it came from)

6. What color polish do you most often wear? Or do you wear one?
* Colorless, sometimes I do french manicure and frosted pearly pink. I don't like bold colors, it doesn't suit me at all.

7. Think about this for a second - When you fasten your pants do you button first of zip first?
* zip first. I have a hard time buttoning when I don't zip it first.

8. Which do you prefer, someone snoring right next to you on a plane or a baby crying right next to you on a plane too? * baby crying! they're really adorable, not like people I don't know snoring next to you, that'll be soooo irritating! (it'sok if it's hubbykins snoring).

9. Which would you prefer, made to eat bugs or drink sour milk? Why?
* sour milk! I can tolerate that. ewww, bugs? nope!

10. Which is worse, your roommate eating all the food or wearing your clothes?
* wearing my clothes. =/ how pathetic noh...

school books

It's almost school time, only weeks away and children will be all back in their schools in no time. Time flies by so fast, can you believe that? I'm pretty sure right now you are getting ready for school, too preparing what you need like notebooks, textbooks and other school supplies. I remember back in high school textbooks will cost you a fortune, since we didn't know anybody in a lower grade than me to borrow books from we often bought from bookstores, which is a lot pricey! the lower grades before my year level are so lucky, because they can buy all my used textbooks for a half price. That's what I always did back then in order to cut back for book expenses. I was talking to my workmate who was a student, like how his 4runner got opened one day, and we're like 'did they take anything?' and he replied 'they took my textbooks.' can you imagine that? whoever that person is, must be really in need. people really do this because textbooks are very expensive, goodness. Well, if you are in need of school books and all that with low prices that you can afford, don't waste another minute check out buy.com where you can search for new and used books, will definitely save you hundreds!

snap away!

It's been a year and a half since I bought my camera. I'm happy with my digital camera. I'm really not the kind of person after purchasing a new one I have to buy another one after seeing a new one that just came out. besides, that was hubby's christmas gift for me, and I try my best to be contented since it's not practical changing stuff every now and then, money doesn't grow on trees, you know. Now, in this online world lots of my friends are owning those professional looking cameras and I'm telling you, I am soooo drooling over them! Well, I've been searching for places on the net that sells great digital cameras, at buy.com you will find that camera that you were searching for, They have great products and with affordable prices, all the best deals you can find there. Well, looks like someone needs a new camera after all. just kidding! maybe sooner or later, I just might buy myself a new one. who knows? come and shop now at buy.com!

I love taking a pic of myself in the washroom. well, hey that's the only place you can have your moments, it's a peaceful place. (lol) so! How was your 4th of July, by the way? well, it sucked for me coz I had to work! but that's ok, it's time and a half anyway, no biggie. at least I got to see it from work at Pearl Harbor, then when going home saw the ones at Aloha tower. no pics to share, hopefully next year we can close early at work, our Director will request it since the store was sooooo dead after 7 pm. I'll see you guys in a bit, I am working 8 straight days. phew...

I love bugs!

I always loved video games, eversince the first family computer back in the days, I'm pretty sure you guys know that. me and my brother are always excited to wait for saturdays when there is no school and we could just spend our whole afternoon playing video games, I loooove Mario bros. sooo much! Eversince I grew up, my love for video games just disappeared, I guess I fell out of love (lol) well not entirely... The last time I played video games was back then when I was pregnant with my son, that was 2002 while hubby was working on something else I was in my MIl's room concentrating on playing my ever favorite game, Time busters where it features Taz and Bugs bunny go back in time and find the gem for Granny's regulator. I miss this game so much! I had a great time, wish I had this so I can be able to play it again. This was the best video game I've ever played (lol), besides from Mario bros. that is.

Just recently my son has developed an addiction through Video games, too. He's so different now, he knows what to do at every level. he doesn't seek for our help, he'll be so impatient sometimes and everytime he says "I can't" we try to talk to him and tell him that practice makes perfect which was really good for him. if he's not playing with his papa's psp, he's on the computer online playing on Nickelodeon, pbskids or Disney, then he'll hop onto his ps2, a few days ago it was sooo funny coz I played with him, we played harry Potter and the goblet of fire and it was a great bonding time once in awhile. It's almost school time for Nate, can't believe my boy is growing! shoots, we need to regulate his video games, too.

I had a great time visiting blogs today, will visit more tomorrow, I only comment on posts that I relate to, but I do my rounds.. you know that! I played catch up with the tags, check my previous entries if you wanna snag 'em. I am thankful for putting up my shoutbox, I noticed people aren't scared to leave their prints on the tagboard, plus it's better that way than being obliged to comment on my entries. It's up to you if you wanna comment or not.

always remember: It's not mandatory to comment unless you really want to, comments make me happy though, it's just to show how you really care. as for the tagboard, please know the rules... a smiley face means a smiley face back. capisce?

ok, I need to hit the sack. God bless, people! keep on visiting! aloha!

going to the movies

I love going to the movies, so has my family. It's very enjoyable and relaxing, plus loads of fun. It's just nowadays it's very expensive going to the movies, goodness... anyways, When I watch tv and I get to see those programs on HGTV showing homeowners show their nice elegant homes especially the ones that feature rooms that have their own home theatres, boy I would always find myself drooling over their accessories, the way it was decorated and all that. I'm pretty sure you want one for your home, huh? I swear one day we would have all that, it's just considered as one of my dreams to own a home theatre. right now, that would be luxury for us, so no-no for that. but we could always dream. Those who are interested in home theatres, you might want to see what they have over at stargatecinema.com , they have everything including home theater carpet that you might consider getting, it'll make your home theatre room more like at the movies! kids will sure love it!

hot hotel deals

A lot of my workmates are booking their travels right now, I am so jealous right now It's been a long time since I've been out of the Island. I really want to spend my time with my family elsewhere, you know go somewhere new or maybe visit relatives in the mainland, I've been wanting to use my use or lose (quite an amount) leave but unfortunately I'll be using my leave for my son's school, but that's ok I guess it's better that I get to experience my son's first day of school, how exciting this is! anyways, back to travelling.. my brother just called awhile ago and had arrived safely in Las Vegas, thank God. I'm thankful that he will be spending a few days with our dad, that'll save him money. he doesn't need to bother checking in with hotels, he can't afford that right now. but If you are going somewhere this summer, please do check out shermanstravel.com where you can find great hotel deals for you and your family. be it luxury, moderate or even budget hotels, you can find it all at Sherman's travel. So click away!

Vegas trip!

Well, not me =P... I just have to make this a quick update since I am so busy today. opened up my storage and threw away loooooads of stuff and will be giving away some clothes to charity, It's already 8 pm and I'm not even done yet! I wanted to scrap so bad but anyways, that's ok. I get to go home early tomorrow, that'll be good. My brother will be going away on vacation to North Carolina tomorrow, he'll be visiting my dad in Las Vegas as well as our lil sister. I am sooo happy for him. he's done packing and he's so excited, you don't really see it in him though. after 2 days with my dad family friends will be picking him up and will spend about 2 weeks there with them. here he is with his bestfriend.

Their both half filipinos. Well, I gotta go now, gotta fix our closet! mwah

Citizenship for Sale?

and oh yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY LOVING BROTHER, GULLY!!!

fun day family day

It was around the 23rd when we decided to watch The Incredible Hulk, It was just an 'out of the blue' thing, you know. We just finished shopping around Wal-mart when we passed by Ward around 10:30 am, hubbykins just wanted to see the movie so bad. mom was left alone at home, Gully had an appointment for his radiation (yes, he's still at it) so I was like, can't you just wait blah blah, but no- he really wanted to go. It was such a crisp and fresh morning, a really great day to spend a family day. as you can see with the pictures here, I had to snap away even while hubby was glaring at me, he doesn't like me taking pictures, makes me look like a tourist, hahaa! hey, I was bored.

Box office opens at 11:00 so we spent 30 minutes at Starbucks, shared a coffee caramel drink (yum) then headed back upstairs. We were like the 2nd ones to enter the theatre, but I'm surprised there are still a lot of people watching on a weekday, well, you can't beat that since Matinee's much more cheaper, $7+ than night time which is $9.75! movies are soooo expensive! ackk.. especially with the gas prices increasing everyday... ugh.

I'll talk to you guys later, need to exercise now.. lately I'm very disappointed with myself, I actually gained back the 4 lbs I lost.

(notes to self) from now on rice and sweets are evil, exercise is your bestfriend.

I'll fix my photo albums on my multiply later... later, guys!
