booooo!

Halloween's just weeks away and kids are soooo excited! so is my little pumpkin who wanted to dress up so bad, so I took him to Walmart last night, we went to look around and found a costume, he decided to be a Pirate this year! but unfortunately, the costume was too darn big! I need to go back there and get a refund and find a smaller size. bummer. I also bought him a sword which was $2.00 and a set of pirate earring and eye patch for a dollar, now all we need to do is find his size and maybe a pirate hat, too since he looooves captain Jack Sparrow hahaa! I am excited, too coz I'm such a kid at heart, I'll probably buy a witch hat and color my eyes and lips black! (witch laugh here)

I am soooo stupid for not looking at the label (blahh) it obviously says large on it =/. boo.

Look at this! so cute, it's a little ceramic tealight candle holder only a dollar! I was supposed to buy a cute lil ghost, too but I settled only for this one.

I'm about to get ready for work, hope all is well with you guys wherever you are. hugs and kisses to all!
I also updated my Shopping blog drop by if you want, I posted a few of my shopping finds this week. ta-ta!

busy, busy, busy =)

hello there, peeps! how are you all doin'? for us here, it was one heck of a week, enjoyable as I may say. very busy week inspite of Nate not having school because of intersession week. tomorrow I am off and I have lots of things to do on my list. how am I gonna do all these in one day? time management, I guess. you know what I hate about myself? I just hate it when I sit in front of the computer I suddenly go blank and just start blog hopping from one site to another, sometimes I do comment but I just loooove to lurk around, you know and then all of a sudden I just realize I needed to finish a lot of tasks that day I end up not finishing it anyway. poor time management, huh? so tomorrow, I am on it! went to Kmart yesterday and hoooo boy, the store is filled with halloween and christmas decorations! oh goodness, why am I not surprised?? hahaa!

cute singing frogs! would love to have one at home =D

just went clothes shopping for hubby because all their items were on sale. I forgot to buy some battery operated tea light candles for the orange bags that I'm gonna turn into pumpkin lamps in our living room, lil Nate would love that for sure. I even forgot to buy some halloween icing decorations for cookies! hmm... and we went around to look for costumes, still a bit early for costume hunting, we couldn't see a perfect size for Nate since he would love to be Buzz lightyear. although he doesn't know if he wanted to be buzz lightyear, venom or batman... kids hehee.

What's on my to do list:

1. clean bathroom.
2. finish some online stuff.
3. invite Nate's friend for I'll be making halloween cookies.
4. organize our clothes and other storages.
5. exercise (lol) if this is still possible with my time =(.

I'm looking for link exchanges for this and my other blogs please leave a tag if you're interested, thank youuuuuu!!! hope all is well with you, guys.. God bless and thank you for my new visitors who took the time to comment, bless you!

Qestions of the week ( 3 )

1. Do you ever think about how your actions affect other people?
- Oh, yes. I try to be careful on how I act towards people. =)

2. How good is your “emotional intelligence”?
- average, I guess? I don't know, hahaa.

3. You are cordially invited to my Virtual Masquerade Ball. Who/What will you disguise yourself as?
- a queen, hehee. my name says it all! so why not be a queen, even for a day? LOL

4. How far apart are you from your closest sibling?
- about 3 yrs from my brother, and from my half sister is about 12 yrs I think.

5. Do you trust your feelings?
- yep, most of the time. 6. How much time do you spend with your family per week?
- everyday, we make sure we have some time for each other eventhough we are at work and the lil boy is in school.

7. What do you do if everything seems to be going wrong?
- I kinda panic a lil bit at first. but time made me strong and I suddenly have everything in control. you just gotta work it out, don't panic.

8. How do you decide between “right” and “wrong”?
- I think about it a hundred times. pretty simple =D

9. Is your personality more like that of your father or your mother?
- I say a lil bit of both. I can be my mom sometimes, but most of the time I can be like my dad.

10. Do you find blatant burping and farting offensive?
- In public, yeah! but I really don't mind if it's within homes, that's pretty fine with me.

diet diet diet...

That is all I hear about almost everywhere I go. now I feel lousy. because it just keeps reminding me to stick with my plan because time is running out. indeed running out. I have one more year before we can make baby number 2 and I need to lose weight now! fast. but sadly, I've been there. nope, it never worked for me. maybe because not all people are created the same. we all have different body chemistries so we really don't know what is best for us. I see all these diet pill infomercials and I'm like, oh that's nice, wait I'd like that for myself, on magazines I would read a lot about diet pills, the success stories and testimonials of people who actually did lost weight were incredible. unfortunately I gave up on diet pills long time ago. not only that you never know what's in it. maybe it's not bad to try, but before you try anything be sure to consult your doctor first. Because I didn't and It was bad for me. I always see this alli diet pill packages at stores and When I see the prices, I am like "whoahhh!" but according to one of my managers, it does work for her, she tried it and lost a lot of weight because of it. wow, not bad. I'm impressed. not only that, it's FDA approved, too. so go and check it out and see if it works for you.

Litratong pinoy # 2... Aking Kompyuter

This is my loving friend, a gift from my loving husband so I wouldn't have to use the other computer outside the room which he bought me back in 2004 from Dell because there's a lot of us who are using the computer so he gave me this as a gift last June 16, 2007. We got that because it had a rebate but since the company that we bought it from closed so they didn't really gave our money back. but for me, I really don't care anymore, I really love this because I always use this for all the stuff I do everyday. Maybe I'll be using this for a long time, I don't even want to change it anymore.

small, cute and plenty of memory

This generation we have today is just pure technology so lots of people are into being tech savvy nowadays. Technology has come a long way and I am always wondering... what comes next in the near future? me and hubby just bought some new phones last month and since I had to change my phone into a new one we can't resist not having a micro sd for each of our phones for more memory, you know for music and games and all that stuff. small is so in! it is just too cute, what is happening to memory cards anyway? they are getting too small, but I like it. MicroSD TransFlash Mobile Memory Cards are still the best, most versatile flash memory cards in the market. I think their prices at memorysuppliers.com are fair enough, try to check it out yourself. Me and hubby bought a cheap 2GB micro sd at our favorite asian store and boy, I think it's running slow, so I might think about getting a new one for my phone. so go check it out, people!

bye, iphone--hello blackberry! + meet my new love

Around September 20th, I was so happy with hubby because he bought me my very own Bamboo fun tablet! I am soooooo happy, you wouldn't even imagine =). We bought it at Circuit City, because Best buy didn't had any. It was around a few years ago I wanted so much to buy a wacom pen tablet, but back then that was around 2004 it comes in a huge packaging and I don't think that was any good at all, hubby still refused to buy me one back then. but I guess maybe because he saw my incentive award on my pay stub for this year, and he saw my performance rating, I was Outstanding! hubby was proud of me I guess. well, I worked hard for it... customer service is no joke, a lot of people hate my job especially when you deal with a lot of picky and whiney customers, if you're not used to a job like mine, you'll have white hair in no time =D.

I can't wait to make doodles and all kinds of stuff with it. Eversince we had our computer I stopped drawing on paper which I kinda miss, I usually draw cartoons, design clothes and just doodle away. I might make some digital scrap goodies, starting with doodles! There's still a lot that I need to do, I still have no time creating some but I promise later on I'll be offering freebies from time to time. I just love the tablet with it's wireless mouse I got rid of my belkin mouse, boy I really hated that mouse I had to chase it every now and then.. ugh. but anyways, I'm lovin' my pen tablet! thanks, hubbykins! I love youuuuu!!

In other news, I finally got my blackberry curve yesterday. I was so sad to get rid of my Iphone, but it had lots of problems, feel free to read HERE. I will surely miss it, but I am loving my new blackberry, it's so light weight! I wasn't happy with it's web browser so I downloaded and installed Opera mini on it, so far it's not bad at all. can you imagine that the 28th will be marked as 1 month since we bought my Iphone? I finally saw the negative stuff about it before the 28th, that was quick! good thing we had the time to exchange it for a different phone. Or else I might have been stuck with it. yikes!

ok, I finally made up another blog! this time, it's a shopping blog! anything shopping related (lol) I got hit by the blog bug. (u__u) oh, my with my hectic work, being a mom and wife and without my mom here with me, how the heck am I gonna do with 3 blogs?? Well, I really don't care, I feel like I need a lot of space to write on, let's see how it goes. need link exchanges? feel free to pop a comment! thanks! pls. visit my Shoppaholic blog. enjoy!

Litratong pinoy # 1... Puti at Itim

It's my first time joining Litratong Pinoy, It's like I'm very enticed to look for certain photos that goes with each weeks theme and not only that you can also meet a lot of pinoys that are great taking pictures. White and black, I thought about what I can use for this weeks theme? I looked on the bed, there I saw the zebra printed comforter from my sister-in-law, a gift from them last March. I enjoy comforters very much so after a few months being hidden away I finally used it because at night it's very cold here, well, for me and my husband, we're the opposites! If I'm feling hot, he is feeling cold, and when I am feeling cold he's the one feeling hot, everything is on their high modes like the electric fans and the air con, this is the only one I use at night and I feel much better. because I sleep good using this comforter and it's very comfortable at night.

eggnog memories

I grew up in the Philippines with my mom as a filipina and my dad an american, so you would definitely know that we've been brought up with two separate kind of traditions. me and my brother would spend a lot of time with our dad cooking up some delectable dishes and sweet desserts in the kitchen while mom was away. mom always hated the kitchen being sloppy, so my dad sends her away to go do something for herself while we create and experiment on some stuff at home like making desserts, my dad loves to bake oatmeal and raisin cookies from scratch, he'll make batches and batches of it even some our neighbors' kids will come on over and eat some. Those days I surely miss a lot. What I really miss the most is spending Christmas with my dad, because he makes great eggnog. If you would hear eggnog, some of you might think it's a bit yucky. I can't blame you for that, as a child we enjoyed sipping eggnog while we celebrate christmas together at home, talking story with the whole family and neighbors greeting each other in delight. Christmas is fast approaching, it's only around the corner and as for me being a mom, I'd love to pass on to my children what great things I have experienced as a child like make eggnog once a year, check out this website that shows some egg nog recipes perfect for the Holidays, don't miss it! try it right now.

Happy talkie, talkie ... Visual Talking

greener than green

It's amazing how this world today is learning more and more everyday on how to save our planet starting with the small things that we do everyday. People regret what they have done to our planet, if you think about it it's never too late to save our mother earth. Every little thing counts, when you have the positive vibe to do it, then I say go for it! I myself is thinking green all the time, I do the best I can to contribute what is good for our environment starting out with cloth bags you see at your local stores instead of using plastic bags, Oh my I am telling you we have a closet full of plastic bags and I keep reminding hubbykins that it's time we stop using plastic bags and start reusing it instead. and before I forget, for those eco-loving people out there, there's this online store called greenandmore.com a website filled with eco friendly gifts that you can purchase for families and friends, what a way to show your eagerness to save our planet, not only your doing a great deed for yourself and for someone, you are doing the best for your environment, what makes these eco friendly gifts great is they are made of pure recycled materials, isn't that great? maybe I'll start browsing around to see what I can find for my home here.

poor, poor mini van..

Well as some of you know our loving mini van went to the doctor, I guess we'll be getting it by Monday, I think. One night, hubby called me while I was surfing the net, telling me that he went into a small accident, I was pretty disappointed at that time but luckily he wasn't hurt or anything plus no one was involved in the accident. It was raining at the time, when he was about to enter the freeway going back to our place by Aloha stadium, by the old cemetery, as he was turning the wheels to the right he said he couldn't turn it, like the wheels were locked in a straight direction so he was braking but he whammed into the rail anyway. The police couldn't locate him coz there wasn't any address at all, it was on the freeway! Then after everything was settled and reported they told him that the place was haunted or something because they had a lot of cases like what happened to hubby, well it is close to the cemetery, need I say more?

I jokingly asked if he speeded, he told me 'no' because first of all if he was speeding the whole front of the vehicle would be totalled! I believed him, the left side was dented and scraped, lights were broken. poor van! What's so funny is we were trying to move to another car insurance, hubbykins got a quote from most of the insurances out there but nothing compares to Geico, I don't think we'll be changing it at all. so funny, it's like it was giving us a hint not to change our insurance (lol).

Our rental car, A Chrysler Sebring convertible. hubby feels like he's single again whenever he drives this, lol. he pretends that we're on a dating stage. I can't blame him, the mini van is definitely for moms only hahaa... he'll be getting one himself soon, right now isn't the right time especially for gas prices still on the rise, but lately I saw the prices going down, every cent counts. At first driving this baby was uncomfortable... I like higher vehicles better. but the 2nd day wasn't bad, got the hang of it. I'm not used to driving with the top down not unlike hubby who loooooves to drive around with the top down =D

aaargh! I miss shopping! I wanna visit Old navy, I can't believe I missed their sales. Maybe I'll go there on my next day off, I need new stuff hehee =D

bag shopping at Old Navy, simple but cheap bags.

In other news, I am currently revamping the site. so please excuse whatever errors you see. will bloghop again later, goshh I miss my other online buddies! I got so addicted to twitter thanks to my Iphone. I promise I'll be stopping by your blogs! mahalo and have a good night to all!

UPDATED: new post at my This and that blog.

where's the exit sign?

Don't you just hate it when you are somewhere downtown and you're in a hurry to get out of that place, especially when it's big you don't even have a clue where to go out! I've been to some places in the Philippines and I hate it when they don't have proper exit signs to usher you out. It sucks big time especially when you are running important errands. Here in the states every store you go to no matter how small or large the store is, you will always see exit signs everywhere, and arrow signs leading you to the exit way, now that's convenient! check out this website called exitsignwarehouse.com, they have every kind of exit sign available for your business, you will like it. go take a look for yourself, and if you are an environmentalist, let's say go green to their energy efficient eco friendly LED exit signs.

a bad joke

One day while I was on the computer net surfing, my mom was outside doing the laundry I showed her a picture of Nate, I peeked at the door and showed her a pic of Nate on my iPhone "mommy, nakagat si Nathan ng hippo..." (mommy, Nathan was bit by a hippo)

boy, did she freaked out! I laughed so hard, not even a few seconds when I showed it to her my phone rang and hubby told me to rush to the school coz Nathan bumped his head in the cafeteria, and we don't know how bad it was! I was in complete shock from what I've heard and I grabbed my bag as quick as I could. when I went to the school health room, I saw Nate with an ice pack on his head, eating his lunch while the school nurse was talking to him. They were observing him for 20 minutes already, he was fine, nothing serious, I was sooooo nervous! any mom would react the same way, right? so anyway, it was just weird joking around like that, can you imagine having a phone call after having that bad joke? ughh. picture taken from Ala Moana's jungle fun, kinda like Dave and Buster's but with a jungle themed environment.

have a great night, everyone!

aaaawwww, hubby got into an accident but I am so glad he was ok, it was raining at the time and he didn't get hurt, the lights on the left side was badly broken and really dented and scraped... first it was our brake pads, now this! minamalas nga naman...

on a diet?

With this new generation of ours, obesity has dominated a lot of countries specifically here in America where good food is always served to many. So because of this a lot of people try their best to lose weight even the unnatural way. They will do anything just to stay slim, some don't even care what they take as long as they lose the weight. What's scary about taking diet pills is you don't know how it started, what's the history behind it, what's it really made of, now think about all the questions you really have in mind, especially nowadays lots of diet pills are popping right out of nowhere, it's the new fad in town. To know more about a certain diet pill you need a website like diet-pills.sybervision.com that can help you find that right diet pill you always wanted. read Diet pill reviews to know more about each product so you will know for sure how effective that product can be, or how it can affect your body if it has it's own side effects harmful or not, plus you need to know if it's affordable to you. Diet pill review websites are great for people who are on the look out for diet products, at least you know that you are doing the best thing for yourself, don't just purchase any diet pill, read reviews and see what's best for you.

almost gave up...

... but I'm glad I didn't! I'm tallking about ppp of course. my site url's PR has been a zero for a long time, thanks to google. I really was sad about it coz you couldn't even see 2 or more tasks, I even changed categories but I guess when my PR went to Zero my blog really got affected. but.. I really don't care about my PR anymore, as long as there are tasks coming in I don't really care. but I received an email that I had a ppp direct offer, and when I checked it out I was amazed coz I had 2 offers! imagine that. It's been a year since I started with ppp, and I've never had a ppp direct offer before. after submitting my post, I got paid right away the same day! I'm just happy that there is still hope for our blogs no matter what. to those people who made an offer, thank you so much!! and thank you, ppp!

being annoyed...

Let's face it, we can easily get annoyed by every silly little thing we encounter in a day to day basis. What can be MORE annoying than people harassing you on your own phone number? Now, my friend I just remembered a few years ago when we had our new phone line hooked up, I think there was never a day that someone had not called bugging us for surveys, verifications, solicitations and all other stuff that you can think of. I think somebody owned that number of ours and a lot of people, kept on calling looking for a certain person, we told them that we were the new owners of that phone number, after hanging up the next day they called again. pretty annoying if you ask me, plus It's like an invasion of privacy you know, but there is this website called AnnoyingCallers, it's a website built so that you can search on their database and track down that phone number you are using and check it out if someone had the same problem just like you have, and if it's not there try inputting your own and share your experience of having persistent phone calls, how they harassed you and how many times they have called you. This is a great website for all people out there who are being annoyed constantly. Let's stop the annoyance once and for all. try annoyingcallers.com.

thank you, mahalski!

halski just bought me an Iphone 3g! yipeee, I am so happy! that was around the 28th, and I am so lovin' my new phone, I've never been this attached to a phone since high school =D. Hubby blocked his sim card by accident testing his boss' blackberry, I think, I don't know what that boy did. His boss went with us because he also bought an iphone on that same place. and we switched to At&t because we weren't satisfied with T-mobile anymore =/. years of service, finally a new one! a new start once again. I was supposed to get a blackberry, too but he opted to get an iphone for me, oops I didn't force him to buy me one hehee =P. So he got himself a blackberry curve, it was a great deal coz it had a rebate of full price so actually the phone was free, not bad at all, huh.

I'm also back in Twitterland! feel free to follow me =) HERE. It feels so good to have internet with you wherever you go, now I can blog and check my emails away from home, not to mention visit my fave blogs on the run. my SIL told me the Iphone has some negative issues, I think I know what it is already, but that's ok, I still love it =D.

(sigh) today I was by myself, hubby's at work while Nate was in school. I cried again while huggin my brother's urn. I still can't believe that's him inside... painful talaga, wish I can get over this feeling. I so miss him so much....

When my brother was undergoing Chemotherapy and Radiation, he had a lot of stuff being delivered to him by the pharmacy, all his prescriptions and as well as medical supplies, they were always on time and they were always pleasant, too. If you live around Canada there's this website called drugdelivery.ca, now they are not any kind of online pharmacy, they are an Online Pharmacy Escrow Service. They can help you get what you really want, and they make sure you get the best service you need. This new generation of ours is full of lies and fraud, especially in the web world where we are not sure whether we can trust a certain website or not, how can you stay away and completely avoid sites that you are unsure of? simply visit drugdelivery.ca for more information on how to use their service, plus they can also price match! how great is that. They will protect you among those internet frauds that keeps popping up everywhere, try their service and you won't regret it.

bye, mommy

My mom left last Sept. 3rd along with my brother's girlfriend, they went to San Diego and probably go to my aunt's place in Washington, after that they'll continue their trip to the Philippines. oh, I so miss her already. I just wished she didn't go... I'm still hoping she would stay... so yeah, I'm glad that Nate is finally in school, he got approved for A+ after school care, thank God. right timing, just as mom made the decision to go back home to the PI. We all cried that night before their departure, said our final goodbyes and hugs, sorrys and whatnots... hope she'll come back though. but I know she will.

shoo, acne!

I am suffering from bad acne right now since it's that time of the month again for me, I usually don't have mine regularly, but when the time comes acne usually comes out on the chin area, oh how I hate it so much. I envy people who really have smooth, flawless skin, it's just amazing having acne-free skin. but wait, don't you know there's this website called getacnetreatments.com, it's one of those websites who research on the best acne treatments around so you can have ideas on what's best for your skin. read product reviews from all kinds of acne products, you'll learn a thing or two on what's best and what is not. You'll have lots of selections and you won't regret it, especially for the price you pay, nothing beats the best quality with an affordable price. I really don't have severe acne at the moment, but if you are experiencing the worst moments of your life because of those terrible acne, now's the time and try visiting their website for more information.

thank you, God

We went to Waikiki on the 26th, walked around and took pictures. As we were walking on our way to the Fort De russy parking lot, this person appeared in the middle of nowhere, he was Jamaican, I think, dark skinned, tall person with dreadlocks. he was wearing a decent shirt and shorts with no slippers on. He was walking quietly his face down. I was looking down while walking because Nathan was in a stroller, I was scared, you never know! then as soon as he passed by me he stopped by the bushes and plucked something... a yellow hibiscus flower! and quickly gave it to my mom, mommy said thank you but instead of replying 'you're welcome' he only responded with a soft 'mahalo' (mahalo means thank you in Hawaiian), then off he went. so weird! after that, we all looked at each other and Rachel suddenly said 'he must be and angel!' the flower was yellow and big, its petals were widespread. so pretty! we noticed on our way to the parking lot that most of the hibiscus flowers were already closed since it was night time already. My mom informed Rachel the day before we went to Waikiki that she was hoping that Gully would appear in her dreams carrying a flower to know that he's happy. so weird but true! It was a special night for us. When I saw my watch, guess what time it was? 9:30 pm.

Hello, friends! how are you all doing? for us here, we are doing fine so far. It's been a tough time ever since my brother passed away. but we are trying our best to recover, with God's guidance I know we will overcome these trials being sent our way. My brother's girlfriend Rachel arrived here in Hawaii around Aug. 15th, As soon as we fetched her at the airport that's when we got a call from my mom that Gully is about to be transferred to St. Francis Hospice down by Ewa beach, everything was right timing. Gully was still ok, he still got to sing, chat on the phone, talk story with us but all of a sudden that Saturday the 16th, he started to feel weak and started to talk about things that you know a person would when he is coming close to his end of days. It freaks us out every time he talks about himself leaving us. His request was to be cremated and wanted us to throw his ashes to the sea, which we didn't like, later he told us that we can do whatever we want then as long as he is not to be put in a coffin.

I went home around 6:00 pm that Sunday, the 17th of Aug. He was asking in a weak voice what he would wear on his funeral. I went home and looked through his clothes, no white long sleeve button down shirt so I rushed to buy one for him, I was speeding to the freeway and somehow I wanted to go back to the Hospice, so after preparing for my brother's funeral clothes, hubby ironed it himself since he wasn't satisfied the way I ironed it. to think I wasn't planning to go back since he was still doing good. my mom called me one more time and I told her I was on my way. boy, as soon as I got there his eyes went wide eyed and I knew for sure he waited for me one last time before he left his body. Gully's body was completely numbed already. Rachel told Gully that once he sees angels he should raise his hands, and We saw him did it! he raised both hands and said 'PRAISE THE LORD!'.

That night, Gully's friend who was a pastor stayed there until Gully's last breath, along with his wife and a friend, a missionary from Indonesia. Me and Rachel held his hands until he stopped breathing. Soothing heavenly music was being played in the back, that really broke my heart to pieces because I know any minute he will be gone forever. we kissed and hugged him like there was no tomorrow . little by little his body went cold. we kept on listening if his heart wasn't beating any longer. my mom kept on breathing hard and praying that Gully would soon leave so his suffering would stop already. She couldn't barely see my brother's condition, it was so hard for her. the time was 9:30 pm, A sunday. His favorite day since he loved going to church so much.

He was cremated Aug. 21, 2008. we held a little service for about 30 minutes just the 6 of us. As soon as we walked in the Chapel anticipating what he would look like, there he laid on gurney with lots of blankets and a green quilt over him, he looked so peaceful, like he was only sleeping. We sang and listened to a few bible verses. We couldn't believe he's now gone. for good. the next few days We toured Rachel to the places Where Gully visited here in Hawaii. At home, whatever Gully did that's the way Rachel did. my mom found comfort in her since she was the closest person Gully had in his heart so mom felt that. We donated almost all his stuff to the Cerebral palsy foundation. I am pretty sure Gully would understand that. If we had the space permanently we wouldn't give anything away in a heartbeat. I kept most of my brother's stuff for safekeeping and at the same time will serve as his memories to me.

I am currently planning on his memorial page, Rachel is willing to help me out with it, too. She leaves the Island on Sept. 3rd, along with my mom going to San Diego then to the Philippines. As hard as it feels for us her leaving us, too I just hope we'll all be alright. I don't want her to go far away from me. but since she can't stand being here all alone, I even offered to help her find work so she can be busy. but I couldn't convince her. even spending a few months, maybe a month or two so we can save money for her trip back home. We're in a financial crisis right now since we paid a lot for my brother's funeral. I love my brother and I didn't really care if we did spend a lot since she has no work and Gully didn't had any work either, it was all up to us. I just hope she appreciated everything we did for her. In spite of Gully being gone, she should realize I am still here. We love her. but then We'll just be praying to the Lord to guide her whatever decisions she make.

Thank you so much for all the greetings you guys gave. Most of you saw his pictures there, I didn't share it here anymore since most of his pictures are uploaded on my friendster account. again, thank you. May God bless you all for the kindness you guys have given to me.

what happens in Vegas

No, no, no! I haven't been there yet, if you ask me. it's always my dream to see the city of lights and The City That Never Sleeps. I'd like to try my hands on slot machines, if I ever have a chance maybe beginners luck, who knows. but you know, When you plan your vacation especially if you have a toddler on board, Vegas is not on our top list, not yet at least. Come on I don't think bringing kids to vegas is a top priority, as a mom that's the way I think. When you think of kids, you think of Amusement parks or other educational places out there. Vegas is the best vacation spot for adults, people who wants to get away from everything and just have plain fun. I am no gambler and will never be! but to me Vegas is such a cool place to visit, you know I just love to experience the place, see lots of cool bright lights flashing everywhere, nice shows and concerts of famous people, just about anything you can think of that can happen in Las Vegas. Once more, let me tell you that Shermanstravel.com can help you with their Las Vegas travel deals. There's more to it than playing around in casino's, go food tripping with their world-class restaurant scene and don't ever forget your shopping time. Well, wish I was there.

going away

Me and hubby are planning on spending a few days in San Diego On December to meet up my mother-in-law and some relatives as well, it's been a few years since We last visited them. my Mother-in-law would want us to spend Christmas and New years with them but that would be so impossible since we're not allowed to be on leave on the Holidays. We'll see about that. We need that few days after all we've been through, we need a break from all of the problems we just had. with God's guidance we will get through this. It will be therapeutic for us to go on a short vacation, we'll probably bring Nathan to Disneyland since it was around 2005 the last time he visited Disneyland in Tokyo. Well, are you planning to take one yourself? Why don't you visit Shermanstravel.com, they have lots of travel deals in store for you. take a look at their package selections, read Hotel reviews to see which place you want to stay at. compare rates from hotels, packages and cruises. Plan away that perfect dream vacation you are waiting for, hurry -you just might stumble upon a great deal right now.

We are very overwhelmed with our expenses nowadays, a lot of money is coming out of our pocket (whew) but that's ok, it was all worth it anyways. Just recently, our caravan's brake pads went bad and hubby rushed it the next day to our dealer, it was just in the nick of time, too. So anyways, me and hubby are thinking of changing our auto insurance because the insurance we have is such a pain in the neck, it's not even funny anymore. Well, who am I kidding anyway? I am pretty sure a lot of people out there are experiencing the same thing right now. If you want to find the right auto insurance might as well visit onlineautoinsurance.com and take an online auto insurance quote so you can easily compare car insurances from a variety of companies. fill out a quote comparison, it will only take a few minutes and you will easily find cheap prices for the best coverage you need. well, good luck with that.. I might ask for a quote, too, I hope it can help us.

farewell, Gully

Gulliver Raymond Bena
June 30, 1986 - Aug. 17, 2008 (9:30 pm - sunday)

He joined our Savior Jesus Christ on a sunday, his favorite day. we love you so much, Gully. thank you for being there always, thank you for the memories, you will be always loved and cherished... we love you, kapatid! mamimiss ka namin! I'm pretty sure he is happy now and HEALED in the arms of God. I can't believe he started strugglng around 12 noon yesterday. We all visited him and I even went home because we thought that he would still be ok. I bought him a white long sleeve shirt and I was speeding through the freeway (which I don't normally do) I wanted to be back home asap and drive again to the Hospice by Ewa beach. in a matter of minutes my brother passed away... they told me that he kept on asking for me, my brother waited for me until his last breath. thank you, Gully! thank you for everything... we love you!

I'll tell the whole story when I'm completely fine. right now I still can't believe he's gone... We are all so heartbroken yet happy because he is not suffering anymore. God bless to each and every one of you who has been supporting me and my family after all these years and all these months. even with the new found friends we had, thank you to all!

Love, Kit and family

school recap time

As promised, since It's been a long overdued task I'm here to share these pics of my son's school day experience. Their classes started so early, can you imagine that? 29th was the meeting for the parents and teachers after that went to our son's classroom and boy, it was so cute! I felt like a dwarf in the Snowhite and the 7 dwarves story (lol) lil chairs, lil tables, toys, books, you name it. so cute.

Nate did a good job on his testing, thank God. Their first day of school was Aug. 1st actually it was only a half day but the 5th was their first full day of classes from 7:55 am to 2:10 pm, wednesdays they get out around 1:15 pm.

Nathan waiting for his turn for his testing time. (July 29, 2008)

getting ready for 1st day of school, half day only for group A. how exciting! (Aug. 1, 2008)

Nate's school, very simple =)

School is close to the mountains so they really have fresh cool breeze coming down.

father and son. my special boys who earns my heart. =D

As the bell rings... lil reminders for the lil munchkins.

off they go! see ya later, lil buddy!

It's such a nice feeling to see my boy so excited to go to school. he had a fever from his 1st full day of school, that night was terrible! he was as hot as an iron, I tell ya. Some moms told me that their lil kids who went to pre-k got sick the first few days, it was normal. I was happy to meet a few moms there, they were all so nice! everyday Nate had homework and they are concentrating on writing the letter A, I am so thankful Nathan knows the uppercase and lower case letters so he's not having a hardtime catching up, thank goodness. We do our homeworks right away, I read to him everyday and I may say he's getting good at it, reading is key indeed!

unfortunately, what saddens me the most is he had his first time out =/ because he got so playful and somehow had hurt one of his classmates. The teacher told me the first few days Nate was really shy and wasn't really opening up but that day he was just enjoying himself and getting to be a lot more comfortable. TODAY was another day. The teacher called me and told me my son (yesterday and today) was caught in the bathroom playing with water splashing himself and the others with water around their restroom break. If he had done this yesterday she should at least make the effort to tell me about it yesterday at least it was supposed to be prevented from happening again today. I'm going to talk to her tomorrow. We keep on talking to our son about the wrong things he had done in school, It's hard =/ but boys will be boys, I guess. hubby says that Nate's behavior got it from him. Everytime I drop him off I make sure we go through the terms we had just discussed coz, My Lord.... I don't wanna see myself in the principal's office! Nate knows the consequences, we just gotta be firm, no.. wait a minute, I'm the one who's gotta be firm since I'm the softy one here.

I'm proud of myself, too! why? because I can get up early in the morning now! I don't feel tired as I used to be, I sleep earlier now and I get up without worries. but goodness, work is only a week away, I get back on the 21st after being on leave for 3 weeks (my 1st time taking leave this long). SO this is what a SAHM feels like?? It's pretty good, although I still like working now that my lil boy is in school, things got terribly boring around here. Well, I'll end this for now... thank you for reading, folks! God bless to all.
NEW LAYOUT, at last! it's been weeks since I've made this theme, I still loved my background so I just had to change the header as usual there are love birds now (lol) the previous one had a blue bird now there are 2 birds.. @ ate Riss, I just realized pareho tayo ng birdie theme tweet, tweet) nagulat ako nung binago mo layout mo, may bird sa header, so cute!

hurry, hurry

Just as I am about to update for my real post, I have about 30 minutes to pick up my son in school. cripes. ok, I'll be back later to update this. bye, friends!

Dolphin pride!

Yep, it's school time once again and I am sooo happy and proud of my lil boy. He started to go to school on the 29th of July. He did well on his testing date around the 31st and he did well, he made his mama and papa proud, as well as the grandparents of course (my MIL, the most) because she values education very much and she wants all children to excel in school as much as possible. Nate's first full day was around the 5th, I'm glad he didn't cry, to think he didn't go to preschool, how happy we were! I have pictures to share but that will come on my next update probably tomorrow, coz I am so sleepy right now need to get up at 2:00 am have to drop off hubby at work, wake up at 6:00 to get Nate ready for school, school is just 5 minutes away from us, about a mile away. pretty neat school, I love it! I don't think we'll transfer him to Aliamanu anymore, he loves the dolphins on his shirt, proud to be a Dolphin alright. I'm on leave for another week, had to talk to my supervisor on extending my leave coz I only asked for 2 weeks because of my mom being at the Hospital. My brother is in a critical stage right now, he's still at the Hospital, poor guy. thank you for the continued prayers and support, you guys will be in my prayers and my heart as well. God bless...

Fashionably hot

As much as I want to own designer stuff, I hate to say it but I can't really see myself parading down the street with gorgeous designer goods, I just can't. Why, because I can't really afford it and it's not practical for me and my family. When I'm at work and we talk about expensive stuff and I would share my moments, they would tell me that I'm doing the right thing because one day I can buy all the things I want in life, it's just right now family comes first. They told me that they went through the same thing where they couldn't afford to buy the best things in life because they always thought of their families, but now they can pamper theirselves with gorgeous clothes, shoes and bags, as well as elegant pieces of jewelries whenever they wanted. I guess that's life, I always admired fashionable people since I love fashion very much since I love to draw clothes myself, I pretty much appreciate the fashion business and someday I would love to be working in that field, who knows I can always dream, right? well, back to designer talk.. If you love Oscar de la Renta I know I do, you might want to take a look at MarissaCollections.com, It's among the favorite online shops of designer lovers, take a look at products like pumps, sandals, sunglasses and more. boy, would I love to own one.

a silver lining

I'm not really a gamer to tell you the truth, oops, wait a minute.. I already told you guys that. my bad. but yeah, back when I was younger me and my brother are die hard gamers, when the day I turned 16 I just realized games aren't for me. It wasn't long ago when we bought our PS2, it's been 2 years I believe since we bought it, around that time my son wasn't really into games yet because we let him use his little game boy advance instead. My brother and my hubby are the gamers here, my son just recently got addicted to plaing video games and, my Lord, we sure had a tough time taking it away from him because of school. SO anyways, I was browsing around this website at Buy.com, they have this PlayStation 2 System, I think it's redesigned and oh, it's in silver color! I love silver better, I don't know why. but for sure we won't be getting that. because my hubby couldn't find any more reason to get rid of our own ps2, why bother buying another one, right? Well, if you are interested head on now to Buy.com!

to believe or not to believe

I know this is kinda weird, but do any of you guys believe in supernatural beings? Well, I got a reply from my good friend's mom back in the Philippines. They just found out about my brother's condition, I also told them about how their neighbor who was of old age had the very same tumor on the same area at the same time. really weird. When we told my hubby about this he joked that the place must be cursed or something, my mom and my brother rents that 2 storey apartment with a large backyard with a tree and some of my mom's garden vegetables. My hubby's aunt owns that property.

a lot of people kept on telling us that a mangkukulam (witch) had cast a spell on my brother then my mom suddenly realized she had a friend who was quite old and sold fresh vegetables, one day she told a story to my mom about how her daughter's bf who is ready to leave for the states was about to leave her daughter, but she told that boy not to leave or else he might regret it coz she might cast a spell on him. and he never left her daughter for the fear of something might happen to his life. one day, she visited my mom and asked for a picture of my brother, maybe for souveneir or something but my mom refused to do so. That old lady was also friends with their neighbor who just died a year ago because of the same tumor as my brothers.

SO moving on, I got a message yesterday and my friend told me to call right away if I can coz it was very important. I had to ask what it was, surely this morning I opened my friendster and my friend's mom explained everything to me. As soon as she read my message she rushed to an albularyo (herbalist) and told my brother's name to the old man, he wrote the name on a white piece of paper, holding the candle and saying a prayer saying the name of my brother he placed it on top of the name and all of a sudden the old man became unconscious. his head bowing, holding my brother! the old man's voice was an old woman, she was an engkantada (somewhat like a fairy) she was already old because the way the old man was really hunched like an old lady. according to my friend's mom, the old lady lives in my mom's backyard, she got hurt in the shower while my brother was there, she even pointed out where she got hurt, on her chest and her back. my friend's mom asked what was the best thing my brother's family could do to forgive him, the old lady blew the paper with my brother's name on it and she said the best thing was if a family member would come to my mom's house and say a prayer, ask for forgiveness while throwing rice grains in the bathroom where she got hurt. she didn't ask for anything else but for forgiveness. They saw the candle wax formed my brother's name. It gave me chills just reading about it. how did they know about the bathroom? the bathroom is facing the backyard with some trees and some plants. so that was probably her home. the bathroom is a bit small to move around, so that might be it.

As much as I hate to believe it, my friend's mom told me that a lot of her good friends and business owners from our City go to that herbalist for help, and he was really good, doesn't ask for any payment or anything at all. and her friend from Australia was sick and just by using her picture was treated just like that. There's no harm in trying that's what she told me. oh well, I know it's too late for that but with God's help, nothing is impossible. yesterday, I cooked pinakbet and brought him some at the Hospital, he hates hospital food and I couldn't believe my eyes, for the first time ever he ate a lot! he gained back his appetite, thank God. but my mom told me this morning that last night my brother was crying in pain and I think maybe that was the time the old lady back in the philippines using the old man as a medium blew the name of my brother on the piece of paper. weird, huh? I grew up with my mom with a lot of superstitious stuff, I do believe in some and I do it for the sake of being safe. whenever we step on grasslands or just walking through or sometimes if we throw something on the sidewalks my mom would say tabi tabi po to show respect and warning that you are coming so you won't hurt them while you're walking. =/

thank you again for all your prayers, friends... God bless you all!
