Eversince I was younger my family has always loved listening to The Police. Thanks to my dad who's a great fan of Them, I love almost every song of this band but the greatest of them all is Every Breath You Take, I always listen to it up to now because it reminds me so much of my father when I was very young girl. I get so emotional and all and I don't know why. This is my all time favorite band and I never get tired listening to their music, they have a unique way of expressing their songs, no wonder they have reached 30 years! incredible. I can't believe they are going to celebrate their 30th anniversary of their recording debut with a new double-cd collection, a 28-song set featuring the biggest hits from the band's 5 original studio albums, The police cd will be out in June 5, 2007 so be sure to run to your favorite music stores for a copy! and not only that, check this out.

I finally went to Old Navy a few days ago with my family, did a lil bit of shopping. gosh, there were a lot of sale goin' on and oh boy I couldn't just resist the price tags, they were all so cheap! I especially loved this piece, a gray knit tank dress, pretty comfortable to wear with your fave jeans, just for $15, not bad, eh? I am not really brand conscious, but you can always find me shopping at my fave stores like Ross, Charlotte Russe, Jeans warehouse, Papaya, Old navy and Gap. as long as I see pieces that are really comfortable and goes along with the rest of my wardrobe I always tend to buy it.
*sigh* sad to say hubby told me he didn't order any laptop for me just yet =/ yeahhh, bummer. but yesterday he kept on hinting about cancelling the laptop he just ordered. ok, now I just don't get it anymore! whatever, hehee... =)

back home when I was younger the last house I lived in was filled with plastic blinds and everytime we washed it we get a really hard time cleaning it since it takes a lot of our time, but I always knew blinds were better than curtains. check out this site with really wonderful wood blinds, It's nice owning one of these since we are planning to buy a home in a year or two, It'll be perfect for our living room. and what makes it great is it will never be affected by humidity and is fully washable. jut great for any home or office.

Thanks for the feedback on my latest entry, I guess we all feel the same way. but this is the blogging world and I appreciate every single person I've met for becoming one of my best friends on the net. hmm, been trying out for the money making sites online, hmm so far I really need to work a lot on it since it's really hard to start on it. I just don't have the time, argh.. when I come home my brother's using the computer, I have to teach Nathan his lessons before playing, hubby wants me to cuddle with him, etc. how in the world would I work on my sideline? anwyays, I don't get Payperpost? how do you actually start on that? call me DUMB but yeah... I so admire my friends like cherry rose and ate Honey for being so active in money making sites, how do you guys do it?? (lol) oh well, I had a rough day at work.. it was sooo busy! and we had a lot of new cashiers in training, and it seems we're getting more and more siblings everytime we hire =). I trained them yesterday, gosh I feel like a supervisor (but I am so far from that) they were like 11, and I heard there's more coming by the next few weeks, yikes. but they were all good things. I heard good comments about me from fellow co workers and it just makes my heart sing, how wonderful... ok, gotta go.. it's about 1:03 am, kelangan na matulog bago magising si hubby =P

Sometimes I love to bloghop, depends if I'm in the mood. I just remembered I left some kind comments (with nice feedback) for fellow bloggers long time ago, but never ever came to say thank you at all. what blogger etiquette is that? the last time I checked I read their sidebar: comments are always returned. I understand maybe they just forgot about me, or maybe because they judge the person before leaving any comment. that made me realize one day bloghopping is useless sometimes. (nakakatamad na minsan) whoever comments at my site I treat them my friend right away. I can distinguish the ones who are phoney and who are not. It's not important to have lots of comments anyway, lately blogging daily made me realize it's much more better than blogging weekly or monthly, I keep up with comments better. not like when I used to have 50 or more in a week it kinda overwhelms me and makes blogging life more stressful... but I assure you, I'll fill my blog with juicy posts (w-ell not that juicy) hehee..

at long last, finally after months of thinking if I am ever getting a paypal.. grad party
I just finished attending the graduation party of my friend Kimmy's brother. It was awesome really, what touched me the most when I said goodbye today, the celebrant told me they really pulled a lot of strings so I could come to the party (that means I'm special) =P. It was held at the Pearl Country Club they had a lot of Hula and Tahitian intermissions, I swear those little kids can really swing their hips! too bad I didn't really took videos of the intermissions, I was too busy watching the kids dance, I especially loved the number they had, they danced to the song of He Mele No Lilo from Lilo and stitch. so cute! I wanna share some pics but most of the pics are on my friends' cameras. so I'll definitely share more later...

back to work + other stuff
I am soooo happy. Leona just came back from Hilo a few days ago and before I went home that night our director asked me if I can work overtime on my day off the next day. I really didn't care about the stress anymore, for 6 hours overtime, not bad. I only had one day off yesterday and I spent the whole shopping. I swear I hate this, I've been spending a lot lately and I don't wanna make hubby feel bad. Our first stop was at Borders and Nathan had picked up a spider man book I dragged him quickly out of the store kicking and slapping me in the face smudging my lipstick (oh, dear) but he was just screamin' bloody murder, I tell ya. shopping is therapeutic. but when you have a lil one with you, I doubt if it's anymore therapeutic, I think it's more stressful. I saw this little paragraph at a Reader's digest magazine (JAN 2007) I really see me and my hubby in this lil story here. =)
Walking downtown, I passed an elderly couple holding hands. Utterly charmed, I commented on how delightful it was to see them being so tender at their age.

Me and my mom just had a conversation about a family friend long time ago. she was such a sweet friendly girl for may years, but after dumping her long time bf just for a rich british boyfriend it seems like she didn't know anybody at all. she seemed to have everything she wanted, from house, to cars and jewelries. she was a stuck up snob. recently we heard that she robbed her british bf for money according to her relatives. how pathetic.
What goes around comes around
And this neighbor of ours who started out small but became a well off family coz her daughters were half japanese and chinese so they worked in Japan as entertainers. We saw how their life went. they would have their house filled with party guests thru the wee hours of the morning almost everyday, can you imagine that? they didn't care if their neighbors were bothered or not. I just felt sad for the other girl, she was like my auntie since she was a very good friend of one of my aunts. she didn't had any luck with love at all, she became anorexic, had breast cancer, but my mom told me she already had a child but still no husband. BUT as for her family, they lost their house, their money, and oh goodness I think the grandmother is wanted now for drug pushing. their life slowly crumbling down to little pieces. see how life works? God works in mysterious ways and if you don't ever look back from where you came from, expect the worst. It might just hit you hard on the back. I just don't get it why people can be like that? They can be blinded by money and forget the special friends they once had. hmmm... I gotta get ready work. love you all!

I feel exhausted.. =/
we Watched Shrek the third last May 18, and It was wonderful! The theatres were packed with family audiences of course. we got to choose good seats, thank goodness. So if you haven't watched Shrek 3 yet, you all must go and see it now, such a hilarious movie! anwyays last night after watching The last mimzy I dropped by Blockbuster to rent a movie, when I parked next to a truck, this guy from the waiting shed came real close to our vehicle and he was like looking at us in a weird way and all that. I got down. rolled the windows up and told my brother to roll his windows up, too and lock the doors. I walked away from our van hoping that this stupid guy would just leave already. my heart thumping so bad, it's better to be safe than sorry coz (ahem) you never know he might have a knife in his hand or what, gahh I'm scared of that! I hurried to the counter if they had the Pan's labyrinth movie but tough luck they were all checked out. so I headed back to the van and asked what did the guy want, It turned out he was only asking if we had any lighter for his cigarettes. =/ blehh..
Customers can really test you to the core sometimes. being in customer service for 4 years I think I've been able to sprout some balls =). Today I had a cashier who cried so bad coz a senior chief cussed at her and yelled at her just because his paper towel rang up wrong. (sigh) the cashier ran to the break room, I finished the rest of the transaction. she was hurt very bad. I understand her coz I had my own experiences, too. we all do, I'm sure. but from time to time I just became immune talking to customers and hearing their complaints. I developed a lil bit of self confidence and I learn a lot from my superiors, I am really thankful to them coz they make me more stronger each day.
Low class?
My fellow co-workers had told me something about this new girl at work, they told me she was a real sassy one and she commented to one of my filipina co-workers that she doesn't mingle with low class people (since her husband's captain), come again? did I hear that right? I suddenly felt the urge to meet this lady. low class, my a**

a Wedneday LO~
Time for a layout. I decided to make an LO last night. while working on my scraps, it's about 12:30 (Oo nga naman, matulog na kami) and my son was bugging me to go to bed already since he wanted to watch his Over the hedge dvd (which he watched a hundred times already, cripes), and I'm like:
"wait a minute.. just hold on.. a few more minutes.. teka lang, anak ko! wait for mama in the bedroom, ok?"
and still later...
he comes out of the room with an angry face and tells me:
"mama! you should turn off that computer right now! I'm waiting but you're not done yet! turn it off! turn it off right now!"
*sigh* what can I say, the boy is so much like his father. everytime I'm in front of my computer my hubby keeps telling me to shut off the pc. The only time I enjoy my scraps are at night when they are asleep or when hubby is at work and Nathan's fast asleep.

happy 24th
I had a wonderful birthday! thank you so much, guys for making it all a great one for me. I baked 2 trays of chocolate cake to take to work the next morning. I didn't really want them to know it was my birthday but somehow the cake gave it away, I guess. the first person gave me such a sweet smelling lei, then the second lei came and then another and so forth. It was so funny coz each person who came to the door just greeted me with hugs and kisses. my supervisor made me a lead at the front end for 2 weeks until they find another lead. so I am supervising the cashiers for now. I miss the cash cage very much, I think it's more stressful not doing anything at all outside than doing a lot of tasks inside the cash room =/. It was so funny, after an hour later someone called me to the lost and found for customer assistance, then all of a sudden I went inside the customer sevice office, and lo and behold, I gasped in disbelief... SURPRISE!!! I almost cried when I saw the boxes of pizzas and sodas inside, they all pitched in and called for a pizza delivery, aww.. those kids were just awesome. I really value all my co-workers, I think that's the price you pay when you are very kind to them. I am so thankful to God for it was a blessed day. the commissary was busy but we get to enjoy my birthday. it was just funny coz my manager was just typing away in the other half of the room never minding the noisy kids hanging around in the office (they're not supposed to, though) but since it was my day they were allowed to play around, I'm tellin' you it was like were havin' a party there! so yeah pictures down below.

moving on.. last may 4 after work we finally saw spiderman 3 wooo hoooo! love it, love it, love it! I especially loved Topher Grace in this movie, I didn't really care for him from the 70's show but in this movie he seems like a version of Hayden Christensen with his blonde locks *_*. anyways, he looks a lil like Toby maguire, too. he seems to be a bit more buffed in this movie just to play the part of Venom, and of course... I'll leave everything to you guys... go watch this movie now!! but heck, we had a hard time finding a parking space, we went to Ward to watch it and I was just driving around in circles, goodness. half hour later I finally got one, then as soon as we rushed to the theatre a snake like line was just zig zagged throughout the theatre... arghhh! Nathan was a lil fuzzy then but didn't want to go home just yet (he's a spider man enthusiast), and I just wanted to go home so bad the 8:45 show was sold out so I had to buy the 10:25 tickets instead. we all enjoyed it very much especially my lil man who wanted to see spiderman 4.. err, it's not even in the making yet (lol)I swear that's the last time we are ever going to the movies at night, especially if it was just the first day of showing (rats) so yeah, we went home around 1:30, went to sleep around 2:30, got up around 6am and went to work at 7. sweet, huh? gahh, I was so tired that day, I swear.

I need a vacation!
t seems like everybody (majority of my friends, that is) are taking vacations back to the Philippines and I am soooo envious coz I really miss my hometown so bad. I was browsing some Subic bay pictures on the net and I was just so thrilled by looking at them. I myself do not have pictures back in Olongapo city so I took the pleasure of surfing the net giving myself of course a virtual tour of where I once lived (how I miss it so much). how time flies and in just a short time there are lots of new places that had been built in subic. Ohh, it Just brings back lots of memories. I swear, when I am given the chance to go back there-- and even for a short while I will try my best to relive what's on my list:
THINGS TO DO:
1. eat at Sheavens coz this is where we had our very first date Feb. 17, 2002
2. eat at the coffee shoppe a lil fave restaurant of me and hubby. they have the best tacos and barbeques. *yum*
3. go to Ocean view beach resort where we totally got romantic under the sweet moonlight and calm waters of the beach. *sigh*
4. drive around subic bay like what we always do back then.
5. shop in Manila. go see the Mall of Asia.
6. visit Enchanted Kingdom
7. take a trip to the spa.
8. go to the salon.
9. eat at Wimpys Restaurant. a family friend owns this place and we just love their fried rice and pancit there. a childhood favorite place. *drool*
10. visit the bbq place we love close to our street. Jon drives me there like every week.
11. visit Ocean adventure to see the lovely whales and Zoobic safari for the wild animals they had.
12. drop by the little mall they built (once called the night market) by the subic bay gate. it was our favorite tambayan and galaan once with my friends after school and weekends. I'd love to shop for clothes there!
13. visit my friends and hang out with them. I miss them so much!
14. probably go to the beach.
15. shop for pasalubongs for my friends here in Hawaii.
16. take plenty and plenty of pictures!!! fun, fun, fun!
We do have the benefits to fly here and there since hubby works for Continental Cargo but somehow we're not thinking of having our vacation just yet. can you believe it's been 4 years and we hadn't touched our leave ever? yeah, it's that important. but someday I know we'll have our dream vacation and shelling out big bucks ain't our priority just yet. We have 3 places on our list: San Diego, Orlando Florida and the Philippines.

darn you!!! (long post ahead) 
hahaa! pardon the post but yeah.. I am currently cooking right now our favorite Menudo and *cough* it's about 10:30 pm. yes, I'm weird like that, I didn't cook anything today so I am making a batch for our lunch and dinner tomorrow. we just came home from the hospital, my brother's going to be discharged tomorrow morning and I won't have time to cook.
speaking of the title I meant the germs, me and Jon woke up around 4:30 am with the sound of sobbing and sniffing, a lil cry that would really scare you. we thought he was just having a bad dream so we turned the lights on right away since we felt some wetness in our bed, and aaww poor baby vomited all over our bed. so we thought it was just a lil indigestion since he overate that night. we told my mom to watch Nathan and call us if we need to take him badly to the hospital. well, my mom informed me that he kept vomiting all day at least 6 times when we were away. after picking up a box of pizza at Costco we stopped and fed Nathan a lil bit of cheese pizza and not even 3 minutes later he threw up again! so we were on our way to the hospital to drop off some food at my brother then continued on to Kaiser.
Nathan got confined for at least 5 hours, golly.. they had him drink pedialyte which was really hard for me since he didn't want to take it. next, they had to draw blood from him so they poked his arms, ughh blood squirted everywhere coz I swear that kid is strong! I had tiny scratches on my face struggling to keep his arms and legs straight. when it was time to put an IV on him they wrapped him cocoon like in a blanket and I think It took 4 nurses to keep him still, he was screaming bloody murder, I tell ya. he kept on doo dooing and I guess that he had diarrhea, coz all day air was having a hard time going out of his stomach. my poor lil man, he suffered so much this month, darn germs!! you can never be too careful. I am so thankful to God he wasn't dehydrated at all.
near death experience
I was hospitalized because of dehydration when I was 16, I was already dressed up for school when all of a sudden I sat down and told my mom that I was having LBM for 3 days already, diarrhea pills weren't helping at all. so I stayed home, but then I was so in pain I told my mom I can't walk straight anymore, my mom rushed me to the hospital coz she saw my nails were almost black already and my face was so pale. after getting admitted at Afable Hospital (my hubby's house was near that hospital. coincidence?) the doctor told my mom that they brought me so late and I had only 12 hours to live. my mom almost fainted when she heard that and she cried so bad. but thank God everything was back to normal. that was such a near death experience, that's why I am loving every bit of my life no matter what pain I go through. another was when I was about to get married with Jon, it was a week before our wedding day. it was also dehydration, and stress because my MIL was a city councilor at the time and we had such a hectic schedule, I was always there to accompany her to her meetings and campaigns, wether it was sunny or rainy I was there to help her. somehow one day I just got it and I couldn't get out of bed. my hubby was giving me a sponge bath and all of a sudden I was getting hot and cold at the same time, hubby rushed me to the hospital as quickly as he could(nagdidiliryo na raw ako) my MIL cried and blamed herself for everything. lapitin daw sa disgrasya ang magkasintahan pag malapit nang ikasal sabi nila. I really don't believe in superstitious beliefs, nagkataon lang talaga siguro. so anyways, I got out of the hopsital right before our wedding and can you believe I was coughing so bad at our reception, how embarrassing! so that leaves us with our story for the day. how lil things like germs can invade your body and could also cost you your life. grr.. and yes, my bestfriend is now water.

I blog simply because I have this certain fulfillment whenever I finish a post. or sometimes whenever I feel down or feel inspired I usually love jotting things down from my mind. I really don't care if people don't read my posts, coz we all know we can't impress everybody, and I am not here to do that either. my posts are mainly about my family, I truly love my family very much and I am always inspired because of them. one more thing is I love blogging because I meet a lot of nice wonderful people who put a lot of input in my site, great feedbacks on my situations and lil comments that make me smile everyday. I don't care if I have a comment or two, I enjoy posting and I love meeting new people everyday. from miles and miles away I realized you can also gain friends thru the net and one outlet is thru blogging. I always stopped blogging and the next thing you know I am back again on the net. I love reading all my previous posts and I am sure you do. it's like reliving the greatest moments that happened in your life. so whenever I get the chance I document every possible detail ever. sooo, that's why I blog.

weeee I'm back, people! sorry for the delay, yours truly got sick for the past few days, and got busy with a lot of stuff. I still have a lil runny nose but it's all good. we took Nathan to the hospital last april 13th coz he had a very high fever, so we decided to take him to the hospital since it's just a 5 minute drive from our place, and from what we've noticed for the past 3 weeks he had some trouble urinating, I think it was very painful for him everytime he urinates. he'd scream and run around in circles with his toes curled up, then when he finishes we'd asked him:
"are you ok now? is it still hurting?" then he'd answer the same reply as always, "it's hurting my pee-pee.." hehee, that's the way he talks, his sentences aren't straight just yet. so the doc checked him out, he was very cooperative, he only cried when he had his shots in both legs and when they took a blood sample from his arm. an hour later we found out that he has a viral infection. we were sooo worried about Nathan. so doc gave us this medicine, Omnicef 7ml each day for 7 days. his last day is today and so far the past 4 days we didn't see him hurting at all, hurrayy!!
after Nathan getting sick, Jon had a fever, too, that night. then the next day my brother also probably caught it. so did I coz I realized after working 3 hours on my shift I started sneezing like crazy and my face was very red as a tomato, they tried telling me to go home but I told them I'd survive my 8 hour shift =/ Kimmy, my friend at the cash room bought me some soup, she's so sweet. now I really know she'd be a terrific successful nurse someday as well as her bestfriend Candice, they'll be graduating next year and I know I'll miss them terribly at work. they'll be interning at Queens and Tripler hospital. remember, guys: I LOVE YOU!!!
so after work at 11:00 I drove them downtown at Kapiolani hospital and left him there after settling down for 30 minutes, they said it was dangerous for cancer patients to have a high fever, a lot of cancer patients die if they disregard having a fever, they asked him to come to the hospital right away. so they had him confined up to now...
here's a funny conversation from Leona (my co-worker) and our customer refunding 10 vagisil creams.
Leona: ma'am, I need to see your receipt, and please sign your name at the bottom. by the way, what is wrong with the product?"
Customer: Oh, oh.. there's nothing wrong with it, in fact I bought a lot and I am just TOO DRY."
for most of you, it's not funny. but when Leona had finished refunding the vagisil creams, she was like, "I AM SO DRY!"
helloooo, isn't that just too much information? we don't need to know that you're so dry. but yeah, if you were in our place here you'd be crackin up, too. arghh, grocery stores just have the funniest and irritating customers ever. cripes, a lot of people would think our jobs would be stressful, to tell you the truth it is SURE stressful but if you're enjoying yourself you'd be successful soon enough. all we have to do is have patience. patience is a virtue. that's our motto. and it always works everytime. every thing pays of in the right time.
I threw a lot of papers from last year, it was my my mother-in-law's print outs from over hundreds of houses for sale ads, she would be spending her vacation here around July, and I am pretty sure we'll be house hunting again like we did last year. she's constantly collecting newspapers everyday, looking at ads for affordable houses. she wants us to buy a house asap, coz if you think about it spending 1250 a month on a one bedroom condo including utilities is expensive. not for us, we don't think about that just yet. it seems like the money we're spending is enough for mortgage already. so we decided not to buy a house here, me and hubby decided we'd finally buy a house in San Diego, where my sister-in-law and her family would settle down eventually, maybe in about 3 yrs. they have one more stop in Korea and that's it. I am hoping by then my brother would be as healthy as ever so he can move on with his life, too. I love my brother very much and I just worried with his situation. as for this week, I am taking my mom to the airport, at Gate Gourmet to apply for a job, please pray for my mom... I hope she gets it...

first of all hope you guys had a great easter! early saturday morning I had to drive hubby to work at 5:30 in the morning. drove back home waited the next 2 hours, stayed in bed and instead of dozing off watched "six feet under" on tv. drove my brother to Kapiolani for his chemo, took Nathan and mom at St. Philomena's chapel nearby our home. after that we went to the easter egg hunt, and nope, Nathan didn't play. why? coz we're too late and besides the heat is just killing us that day so we decided to head back home and eat ice cream.
well, the day didn't end there, Jon wanted to shop at Daiei (now, Don Quijote) but something popped in his mind, he wanted to drive us at Waianae since we've never been there, and after long, long miles later we finally saw what waianae looked like. it basically looks like subic back in the Philippines, if you've been to subic, Zambales then you know what I'm talking about. it's so quiet there and laid back, feels like home, I suddenly miss Olongapo *sniff* anyways, the beaches are terrific although it's a lil scary living way over there. on our way back I spot the pretty subdivisions nearby the interstate, I shrieked in excitement for I loooove looking at houses, wishing someday we could already afford to buy one soon. but I don't think we'll be buying one here sooner coz houses here in Hawaii is ohh, so pricey! drat.
anywaysss, I'll be seeing you guys later... time for me to sleep. =) mahalo nui loa!
