I was about to go to work when I decided to drop by our mailbox, I saw a key and I just knew something spectacular is waiting for me in the other mailbox. It's so exciting receiving something from friends.. and yep, just as I anticipated.. A BOX! when I opened it.. it was just too cute! thank you Lhyz so much for the wonderful engraved jewelry box, you didn't have to, my friend... mwahh






I'm off today but I still need to do a lot of things on my list. We had a great simple new year. Hubby shopped and filled our pantry and fridge with lots of food, he told me eventhough we're not rich we'll never go hungry and as long as our family is complete we'll remain happy and blessed forever. he's such a great man, I tell ya. The 30th hubby woke us up and we ate at Denny's for breakfast around 7:00 am, it was still way too dark at that time, I felt like it was 5:30 in the morning. after that we went to Don Quijote to shop for fruits and other stuff.

here's my fruit bowl. the fruit bowl was a gift from my secret Santa, it has a wreath design, so cute.



around the afternoon hubby wanted to drive around the Island, because he wanted to eat some freshly harvested shrimps at kahuku, the last time we went there was around 2003. So We did, It was very nice driving around the island, It was terrific. We had the longest drive, we drove the whole kamehameha highway just to reach Kahuku. We were trying to find Romys shrimp shack, that's where we ate the last time we were there. It's been a long time since we last saw the place so my hubby was about to give up and turn around and go back to Honolulu, When we went through the Tetsuo harano tunnel (that's not our video, by the way) the scenic point was just awesome! I'll post pictures later... good thing we stopped by this Shrimp truck when we arrived at kahuku, boy we were hungry from that long drive!



It was a graffiti type of truck, where everyone who eats there gets to have their John Hancock on it. as well the tables, too... here's a funny one.





At long last, our lunch has arrived. dig in! yummmmm....

Ok, enough for this long post, I hope I didn't bore ya. I made a new theme, I missed Charmmy kitty, I love her so much, so I decided to make a change! pink, blue green... ahhh...

I'll update my multiply later, for now I gotta get some chores finished. hope you guys had a blastful new year! happy 2008, everyone! thank you for all the greetings!

Happy birthday, mom! hope you enjoy your lovely day. we're just gonna treat her with pancit and cake, and some Ice cream of course. and maybe catch a movie at the dollar movie downtown. nothing much today, just wanna share some pics. click on it for bigger pictures. enjoy!

pictures time+ long story

first of all hope you guys had a great easter! early saturday morning I had to drive hubby to work at 5:30 in the morning. drove back home waited the next 2 hours, stayed in bed and instead of dozing off watched "six feet under" on tv. drove my brother to Kapiolani for his chemo, took Nathan and mom at St. Philomena's chapel nearby our home. after that we went to the easter egg hunt, and nope, Nathan didn't play. why? coz we're too late and besides the heat is just killing us that day so we decided to head back home and eat ice cream.

after a long day...whew!

well, the day didn't end there, Jon wanted to shop at Daiei (now, Don Quijote) but something popped in his mind, he wanted to drive us at Waianae since we've never been there, and after long, long miles later we finally saw what waianae looked like. it basically looks like subic back in the Philippines, if you've been to subic, Zambales then you know what I'm talking about. it's so quiet there and laid back, feels like home, I suddenly miss Olongapo *sniff* anyways, the beaches are terrific although it's a lil scary living way over there. on our way back I spot the pretty subdivisions nearby the interstate, I shrieked in excitement for I loooove looking at houses, wishing someday we could already afford to buy one soon. but I don't think we'll be buying one here sooner coz houses here in Hawaii is ohh, so pricey! drat.

anywaysss, I'll be seeing you guys later... time for me to sleep. =) mahalo nui loa!

last friday we had a great dinner at Hee hing restaurant (great chinese food with affordable rices) down by Kapahulu ave. by Waikiki with my hubby's cousin with her dear hubby. It feels so great to go out once in awhile with relatives, anyway they're only staying here in Hawaii for a few days so we gave them a lil treat. Jon's cousin is sooo sweet, she gave me some pasalubongs like Victorias secret lotion and underwears. they were talking about their houses in San Diego and how they're trying to sell their Lago Madero 3 bedroom house to us. my hubby was like stunned, we can't afford it right now. we'll wait until my sister in law and her family settles down coz her husband who's in the Navy has 3 more years in Korea, they're leaving Japan around July. sooo yeah, my hubby said we'll only buy a house if they're ready to buy a house in San Diego. and oh, I scrapped a bit today and here it is: a day at Northshore.

hubby's vacation is almost done, he has one day left and I tell ya it's been 3 yrs and only this year he asked for his leave, just like me. I guess we're a little workaholic.. I just realized that. =P

I'm so happy! Nathan can finally read a little bit, and he can write his Name, too. everyday at least 2 times a day I sit down with him and his books and we turn off the tv to avoid distractions, what's weird about Nathan is you have to hold his elbow to guide him, although he THINKS I am guiding him but I'm really not, I don't know if you get me.. but yeah, he's been a great kid and he's improving a lot. thank God for giving me the patience to do all of these. and as for all of you folks out there, I'll talk to you guys later.. mommy duties awaits. *sigh*
