bitten by the book bug

My husband left for training last November 7, 2010. And from there it all started out one night while grocery shopping at Ralphs. I went to the book section to see something new. I happen to stumbled upon Kelley Armstrong's women of the otherworld. I read the preview in the back and I was like witches? Okay, this would do - I am very tired of reading about vampires. Time for a change. After that, I bought the second one called Industrial magic and I just fell in love with the characters of the witch Paige Winterbourne and her lawyer boyfriend and sorcerer Lucas Cortez. I didn't start off with Elena Michaels (the werewolf) in Bitten, that can wait.

So far, I went to the library and borrowed a lot of books, I had finished The fallen by Thomas Sniegoski, need to get on book 2 when I get a chance. The following books are also about fallen angels, I'm on my fourth angel book right now called fallen by Lauren Kate, so far it's getting better and better. I'm so addicted reading angel love stories. It just makes me fall in love all over again and reading makes my days go by faster so I can see my husband again. He's coming tomorrow for a christmas break and he'll be flying back by January 3. Then I'll see him by February 4 on his graduation day! yay! Anyhoo, back to the books. I recommend all of these great reads. I'm sure sucked into the supernatural world. I fell in love with the characters Patch Cipriano and Nora Grey in hush, hush and Crescendo, Xavier Woods and Bethany Church in Halo (Alexandra Adornetto is an amazing writer and she's only 18!), and Luce Price and Daniel Grigori in Fallen. (sigh) I wish they would make movie adaptations of all these books... I'll be waiting. In fact I had imagined the cast for 3 of these books and I'll tackle that when I get back. I'm reading everywhere when I have time, like at lunch break, at school waiting for my son to get out, at night before I go to bed. I'm currently at Fallen right now, and I just started with ghostgirl and Personal Demon. I'll be getting the second book of The fallen and I'll be reading Torment the sequel of Fallen. Sounds tiring, huh? I don't know what is up but I seem to be bitten by the book bug! So far reading 7 books in a month is a top record for me. When I read a book I usually take my time and reach at least a week or two to finish it. But ever since hubby left I've been reading left and right. That's why I'm thinking of just getting an ebook reader so I can take it away wherever I go. Kindle, iPad, pandigital or Sony reader?

I found my college ID. my mom brought back all the pictures I sent her when she was still back in the Philippines and I was surprised she brought my college Id with her. golly, I can't believe in such a lil time how my face matured so fast. See the difference from my usual daily pics? big difference, huh? I'm not the Sirikit I always used to be. sure, I am still the happy-go-lucky person I've always been. still loves to laugh and giggle. but thru time I found myself not being myself anymore, what I mean is I've totally changed into a different person. I'm much stronger and matured when it comes to my outlook in life, thanks to hubby I've become a more better person in life. he thought me everything what I needed to know. One time hubby commented how I've changed a lot. neneng nene pa raw ako noon noong nameet ko sya.(he reminds me of a little girl when he met me) What can I do? I was only 18 at that time, still innocent and ignorant =P. hubbykins fell in love with me coz the first time we had our beachside dinner I had the courage to eat up my steak and veggies =P how embarassing! mind you, I dislike eating in front of boys who were once courting me, never I ate in front of them. but hubby was an all out person, he showed his true self. and I was comfortable with that.

I remembered when we went out one night, he would blast his AC and would drive me around the city. he's such a race car driver. every day he'd drive to work I would always remind him to slow down coz I love him very much and I don't ever wanna lose him. So anyway, yeah.. back to the story, he told me he really enjoyed my company and hopefully we would have a second date again, when I went home he'd still send me text messages around 4 am. So yeah, because of him that's why I realy turned chubby than ever =/ but I don't blame him though. that's what you call love <3. see my college ID? I was going thru a tough time there and seeing pics of me when I was a lot thinner reminded me of my darker days..

I am so glad it's all over now, thanks to hubbykins.. so if someone tells me I have to lose weight coz I'm getting chubbier, look at your figure first, dummy! (sorry) I get a lot of comments from pinoy friends who don't get to see me in a long time and get to say "tumataba ka ah!" (you seem to be getting fat) I always answer them with "thank you, masaya kasi ako eh! ikaw, masaya ka ba?" (thank you, I'm happy that's why! are you happy?) I feel a lot better the way I am and If I want to look thinner it's up to me coz it's my body and I don't really care what you say. =/ although time is almost running out, I need to jog and lift weights often.. need to lose weight so we can have our next baby already, a lot of people are waiting for me to get pregnant! ay Dios mio! and yes, one day when I was in my mother in law's office my friends came over and gasped in disbelief how I've changed so much. they even noticed the way I eat, I don't eat like a bird anymore, hindi na raw ako mahinhin! =P

Oh, I am using the pre-installed trial version of the corel paint shop pro XI here in my laptop. and what can I say? I can't scrap just yet coz I'm really not feelin' corelpsp, I miss my version 9.. but I have to go and scrap at my desktop instead. bummer. and to think these past few days I've downloaded oodles of new scrap freebies!! can't wait to use them, man, I gotta find some time to scrap.. too lazy to back up my scrap freebies which is settled in my desktop for a very long time now. love at first sniff

I was reading my Allure magazine and it has an article pertaining to women who gets hooked on a man's scent. It was really funny coz I can so relate to it. back when I was in high school I used to love the fresh cologne scent of boys, of course when you get to know them suddenly it just vanishes, totally turned off! click on the pic to read it.



It's really funny, coz when I first met hubbykins he smelled really nice on our first date, I kinda fell for him because of that =P but I guess I kinda matured enough to realize once your bonded together no matter how you guys smell you will still love each other no matter what. but hubby still smells good no matter what! hehee. this article just caught my attention, thought I'd share it with you guys. to all friends and visitors thank you always for the never ending visits t my lil haven, I'll return comments as soon as possible, ok? oh yeah HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our dear sister Valerie hope ou have a nice blessed one, sis... and last but not the least I tagged some people on my this and that blog so pls check it out!

happy 5th!

today's the 17th of Feb, which of course is the first day me and Jon have met. I can still remember it like it was yesterday. we were officially together on the 24th. seems very short, huh? well, for me it was just like magic. so to honor that special day, here's my lo for our 5th year anniversary.
