diet pills, diet pills

You know, I'm still trying to find the right diet pills for me. It's hard to find diet pills that work, sometimes the market just releases them in order to make a quick buck. I know in the past I had experienced terrible side effects and seriously, diet pills aren't for me. I'm still trying to find the right one though. Hubby leaves in 12 days for basic training and I promised him while he's away I'll be giving myself my own basic training as well. It's fair enough. I need the best motivation out there, I'll try my best with losing weight. I need to lose 50 lbs more! Lately I haven't been at the gym, I need to get back in track again. Sadly, I won't be having a gym buddy anymore. I'll try my best to get into classes like Zumba and cycling. Hoping I can reach my target by next year, so wish me luck!

the past and the present

I was about to visit this website to read about stainless steel barrels when an article caught my attention called "10 worst beauty trends of the last decade". As I was reading the top ten worst beauty trends, I couldn't help but laugh at the list. Why? Because it is so true! Fake tans are like on top my list. Sadly, I dislike fake tans. Nothing beats a real tan from the great sun itself. I remember one controversial actress was so tanned her palms were so orange! Her tan was so uneven on some places, it was terrible. I so agree with the writer that the women of the past were more beautiful than the women of today. I guess people can easily get into a fad in one time or another. Luckily trends come and go, thank God for that.

Roswell vs. Twilight

Hahaa! Please don't get mad at me for comparing the two. I started watching Roswell like 2 weeks ago and I am completely hooked. I was watching a few episodes once in awhile back in Hawaii, but I wasn't really into it. Roswell started back in 1999, I was only 16 at the time and I wasn't really into those kind of shows yet. Now, after watching the complete season 3, I started the other day with season 1 and I'm still not done. Weird, I know - why did I start from season 3? Blame it on the hubby. (LOL) Anyways, I think I had caught the Roswell bug because I am so in love with the story and the characters as well. The story is based on the books Roswell High, I saw those pocketbooks at a library Once in the young adult section. I was searching for Roswell vs. Twilight articles around the net and surprisingly, there were a lot of them. I found 2 that I liked, Check them out HERE and HERE. When I started watching Season 1 I couldn't help but notice the similarities, like the lab scene, How they seem like outcasts, quiet, handsome, beautiful, savior, etc. I'm not going to elaborate the similarities anymore, Plus they are entirely different and I love both shows. If you had watched Roswell, you'll know what I mean. If you haven't watched it please do so, It's like falling in love all over again. I'm a huge twilight fan and now I'm a huge Roswell fan, too. I can't help but fall in love with the characters Max and Liz, Jason Behr and Shiri Appleby just fit their characters so well, I am soooo loving it! I just wished there were more. So sad they had to cancel it.(sigh) Would it be great if they brought it back with the original characters? I'm pretty sure it would be a hit. Everybody loves a good love story...

drat, a flat tire!

Last week, while driving to work I caught the lady from the vehicle next to me waving at me and pointing at the back of my van. I suddenly got worried and decided to stop at the shoulder. I looked at the time, I had 20 more minutes. I was just half a mile from my exit, why does this have to happen? Why now?

I walked to the very back, nothing seems to be missing. Then I saw my left tire in the back, It was so flat! I was running on a flat tire, no wonder I felt all wobbly while driving. I called my husband and he told me to call our motor club right away. I was so glad we have that roadside assistance plan at least we don't have to pay for anything. That's why it's great to have the best car insurance company, you need all the things in order to be protected, especially when you're in any car trouble, It's very important to keep your protection updated. The husband waited for the tow truck, and I used the old Camry to get to work. I was 30 minutes late. No biggie. :)

liar + user = loser

The title might give you a warning message of: "Stop! Do not proceed. Angry woman inside!"

To tell you the truth, I am upset. There was an incident the other day at work. My co-worker asked me to list down all the tasks we do inside the cash office. The next morning, I typed everything in a hurry and it was like around 4 pages. So, when I came to work she asked me for it and she took a look at it. I thought she was going to pass my work along with hers, I was supposed to pass it anyway to our supervisor. Later on that day, I was talking to another co-worker, I told her I typed some work procedures that morning and her eyes grew big, she took out a folded paper from her pocket, it turned out it was mine. She confessed that she heard my co-worker passing it to our supervisor and saying she finished it and she made some copies. I was so furious! What happened to giving credit where credit is due? She gets mad herself at people who lie to her face. Now who's doing it now? But that's OK. Everybody knows what she did. Such a shame. And don't worry, I didn't retaliate, because that's not my cup of tea. Always remember, what goes around comes around. LOL

time off for Disney

So sad, yeah... Our Deluxe annual pass will be expiring on October 31st. We canceled our Disneyland trip last week because the weather was bad. Bummer, I know. But it's OK, I heard Radiator springs Racers will be opening in 2012, We saw the construction going on while we were on top of the Ferris wheel at California adventure. We all agreed to renew our annual pass maybe a few years from now. We've had enough time to go back and forth to the happiest place on earth. We are truly blessed to live nearby. We enjoyed every minute of it, truly worth it. Me and the husband were talking about taking a vacation in Orlando when he gets back from his training. I told him it is a great idea but Maybe It's better if we saved money first for our trip, besides those theme parks will always be there no matter what, It's not like it's the end of the world, right?

no brawn here

I remember when I first started in the commissary seven years ago, We didn't have barcode scanners yet at that time in our store and years went by we were hoping they could upgrade our machines. Time after time, we would all rant about how hard it was to carry those buckets and buckets of kitty litter and bags of dog foods, and oh my goodness they are really heavy! Every time the elderly baggers try to carry heavy items I offer them help to do it myself, sometimes when I carry heavy items I feel like something had ripped inside me, I was always wishing for a barcode scanner so I can easily scan them. It was just terrible! I was younger then, about 20 years old and I was still healing from an emergency c-section months before I started at the commissary. But right now, It seems all stores have them now, which is good. It's better that way, at least you can easily do your job and check out customers as fast as you can.

my diet plan

I'm so tired hearing this word. But You know what, it will surely help me with my weight loss. I'm just waiting for the hubby to leave in November, after that I'm on my own. That means, I'm all alone now. No Gym buddy. Ugh. I can't even think about it. Once again I need to whip out my handy dandy notebook, It worked before and it will work again.

You see, keeping tabs of what you eat just controls your food intake. I had a notebook with me and I also kept a journal on my Blackberry notepad, keeping track of my weight every day. Hubby bought me a glass digital scale a few months ago and I'm quite happy with the results, better than the old school kind of scale, I sure hated that.

So, since the hubby will be on basic training, I myself will be on my own basic training as well. I want the husband to be proud of me when he sees me, I need to lose more weight so when he graduates from Basic training we might push through our plans with no regret. I just need motivation. More motivation. So good luck to me! :)
My diet will consist of seafood, vegetables, fruits and whole grains. I'll try my best to buy gluten free products, too. I won't be buying junk food anymore, either. Then since I'll be working nights every day, I'll go to the gym in the morning after dropping off the kids. On some days, I'll workout using The biggest Loser DVD called cardio max. I'm just hoping and praying this will work out for me.... wish me luck!

yummy grilled pork chops

While I'm typing this, I am so craving hubby's grilled pork chops. He made some BBQ pork chops last night, we went grocery shopping over at Sea food city by National City. It was just Delish. Yummy! My gosh, my stomach is just growling non-stop just thinking about it. Sue me for not eating when we went to Taco Bell today, I was full at the time and I only ordered a sparkling Limeade. I just want to go downstairs right now and heat up a piece of pork chop. But it's just totally wrong! The time is now 10:43 in the evening and eating at this late hour is a total NO-NO.
I received The biggest loser DVD from the mail a few days ago, I got it as a reward from my GYM points. You see, I wasn't expecting this at all - we thought we'll be having a bodybugg when we reach 24 medals. We were so upset, it was only 6 months! I had a notice from my email that we needed to choose a reward before it gets forfeited. Boo!
But anyways, I'm on round 2 so I'll try my best to answer more surveys and earn more points so when I reach the 6 month I'll have enough points for a bodybugg. YAY! Anyhoo, back to those lip smacking chops - I'll keep myself busy so I can totally forget about my hunger right now. The wolf in my stomach is hungry and needs to be stopped! (LOL)

sweaters

So hubby will be leaving on November for Basic training, but he'll be back in December for vacation that's why I'm not too sad about him leaving because in a short time we'll be seeing him again and we'll all be together for Christmas and new year! isn't that great? When we were in Vegas, we dropped by Ralph Lauren and checked out some sweaters, The lady smiled at us and asked if we were OK and if we needed anything, hubby replied that we were fine and we were just looking around. He told the lady that he is just giving me hints on what to buy him for Christmas. Funny guy! Anyways, hubby won't be shopping for new clothes right now because if he does All his clothes are going to be so loose on him it won't be as nice, right? So he vowed no clothes yet until he graduates from basic training. I have to do the same thing myself, believe me I don't want to waste all my clothes now.

vacay, vacay, vacay!

For the past few days it has been raining, and I can say the weather turned cooler now, thank God. The past few weeks has been so hot I couldn't stand it, I felt like my head would explode. I hate the heat, and the sweat forming in areas I don't want them to.. ugh, terrible. Especially when I go to work, I have to put the AC on full blast. We canceled our Disneyland trip today, and we were suppose to go tomorrow, but that got canceled, too. Earlier today at four thirty AM, as I woke up I looked outside to see if it was raining. It wasn't. But the rustling of the leaves and the damp breeze sent a shiver to my spine. I told hubby we shouldn't go anymore, it might rain while were at Disneyland, it would be a waste. He agreed. Around seven thirty AM, he woke me up to a rainy morning, he was laughing. All giddy, he went back to bed and told me Mother sure knows best. He also felt that if we did continue our trip we might get into an accident. It's just an intuition. You gotta trust your Intuition. It always helps and it's not bad to follow your senses. Anyways, we just went shopping today and we had a great time driving around. Hubby dropped by his recruiter to have his weight checked, he had lost a lot of weight since he had gained weight the last 2 weeks he just went back to the gym for a few days and dropped it just like that. Amazing! Hubby is planning that we go for vacation in Florida maybe next year or maybe when the next baby comes out. I am soooo excited for sure. Maybe one day, I'm thinking about Branson Missouri vacation packages, I might have to convince hubby about this one since It will be a little pricey. I want something different for a change. I'll wait until our next child will be a little older so he/she can appreciate that vacation, I think that would be a great idea.

steer clear of Acne

I can say I am completely proud of my skin for not having a severe case of acne. I am truly grateful. Every morning when I wake up, I stare at my face for any possible skin problems, so far everything's A-OK. I do get small zits here and there, but not all at once, heavens no. I only get it when it's almost that time of the month, plus they are very small, not very noticeable. When my hormones went haywire last year, my chin was all bumpy and red and left dark spots. I was always crying because of it. When I started going to the gym last year, There was a big difference to my chin, It wasn't as red as it used to, I guess when I lost a little weight my skin pores functioned better. A lot of people suffer from severe acne problems and they usually ask how to get rid of acne? Believe me, I had tried a lot of drug store acne products but nothing lived up to it's name, seriously. Well, There are hundreds of products out there that you can actually try, It really depends on your skin. Read a lot of reviews before purchasing anything, you just never know, There might be a best one out there, just don't give up.

Vegas + My future soldier

Now that the party is over, We'll be heading to Las Vegas on the 28th of this month. We're supposed to leave on the 29th and come back on the 1st of October, but since we received a notice for the tenting and fumigation that will start on the 28th, we need to vacate the house first thing in the morning. I passed my 2 days of leave weeks ago. Hubby can't stop talking about our trip, he'll be leaving for basic training on November 7, that's why I am soooooo sad right now. I know, I know - I don't need to be sad, I have to be happy for him. It's not as bad as we thought it would be, they'll be having their Christmas break in December that means he can come home then! After that, he'll continue on until he graduates from basic training. His training will be at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. His AIT (Advanced Individual Training) Will be at Fort Sam, San Antonio, Texas. He said that We can come and visit him there, It's going to be an experience for me traveling with Nathan in another state. I guess being a military wife is not that bad, I'll probably get the hang of it. I know I'll miss him terribly but God is good and he'll provide us with the comfort and patience as well as the safety for my dear husband. He is excited to leave, not because he wants to leave us but because this is such a huge turning point for him, It's a new career after being involved in the cargo for so long. Anyways, I know he can do it. Back to our Vegas trip - I am sooo excited to visit vegas, because at the same time I'll be meeting up with my dad and my sister Athena who I hadn't seen for 7 years! :) I am thinking of what to get for them, especially for my sister, since she is a fellow Hello kitty lover, that would be so easy. I wish I have an Acer Aspire laptop, something a bit smaller and easy to carry. Since we are using my laptop bag, I have to go out and buy a cute and girly laptop sleeve to use on our Vegas trip, (sigh) There's just a lot on my list right now.

Weekly recap

I'm finally back in the blogging world for this week. I need to finish a lot of stuff online, need to upload pics and back up all my files because lately my laptop has been running very slow right now. We went to Michael's earlier this evening, my sis-in-law couldn't stop talking about how successful her daughter's debut went. She'll turn 18 on September 23rd, She had to schedule the party around September 11 instead for the convenience of her guests, which is a Saturday. And Celina would be going off to UC Irvine after her birthday anyway. I was part of her 18 candles, and I promised myself I wouldn't get emotional but lo and behold - I did! My husband's like - you made a scene! And I was like, no I didn't... It was funny, I always get emotional at weddings and birthdays, that's why I hate speaking in front of a large crowd. But seriously, I grew to love my Sis-in-law's children, they are like my own siblings, I care very much for them. I am so proud of them, and I am blessed and privileged to have met them. Celina and her mom went shopping today for her dorm stuff, but we'll get to see her every week since she'll be home in the weekends along with her laundry. She was so pretty during the party, ms. beauty and brains, We are all proud of her. I'll post a few pictures here, but complete pictures are all posted on my facebook.

my little world

It's 2:30 in the morning and I am here typing this post. Hi, Kit - how are ya? Well, I'm doing just fine, thank you. A lot has been happening and I felt like I was away for too long. I miss my bloggie. I miss the blogworld. I feel like nobody really cares about blogs anymore. Well, number one: There's facebook. I'm on it most of the time. I enjoy posting photo albums of my daily adventures, posting tidbits of what I am doing and Sharing video clips of just about anything. I still value my blog, and I plan on keeping it. It's just so good reading your previous posts from years ago, an online journal is very therapeutic and I will write as long as I live. People might just come by and say a quick hello without reading my stuff, It's still ok... It's partially my fault. I've stopped visiting blogs and stopped commenting as well. So sue me. I had given up my blogging life long time ago. I have a life, too. Sometimes we just need to be in balance. I find it so hard to believe that people can be so addicted to the internet. I still do, but I'm in balance. My eyes no longer hurt from staring at the computer screen, no more headaches either. I am concentrated more on my family and work. I guess that's life....

casablanca fans

I am so loving the fans over at lightingshowplace.com. Casablanca fans are so elegant looking, just perfect for the home design I'm thinking about. I love planning and mapping out decorations that are needed for a home. I may not have it just yet but sooner or later I will have it someday. I love decorating a home so much that is why I am so excited to move into our own house, shopping for bits and pieces of home decor... ahh, I love it! I'm just waiting until my husband finishes Army basic training and his AIT. In seven months, we'll know for sure where we'll be heading next. This is a tough one and I am having mixed emotions about it. I know it's going to be for the better because everything happens for a reason. God is so good... Anyways, back to our ceiling fan talk, you should go visit their website, like right now, see if you like anything and I know you will. It'll be worth investing your money in. ;)

chaise lounges

Hubby and I can't stop imagining our own dream home. I know it's going to be years from now but hey - time is ticking by so fast the minute you know it, we're buying our first home! And of course it has to have outdoor chaise lounges, you just gotta love them! Perfect for summer days, if you just want to kick back and relax out in the sun, this is for you! What's great about it is there are a lot of selections to choose from, they have great styles that can fit your lovely home. Mind you, though - they are pretty pricey, but I hope that doesn't stop you from getting one, it really depends on what you want plus you'll get your money's worth, am I right? Hope you find yours today. Anyways, I'm not done browsing around their website. I'll see you guys in a bit.

student laptop insurance

My co-worker in Hawaii who was a college student at the time told me that someone had broke into his car. I asked him if any of his valuables were stolen, and he said they stole his textbooks, I couldn't remember if his laptop was in his car but that's what he said, they didn't steal his other stuff - only textbooks. Golly! Nowadays, you just don't know what's coming at you. Everybody is in terrible need. My niece a few days ago was searching for cheap college textbooks, apparently they were all expensive, she even joked with her uncle (hubby) if he could buy her textbooks for her. The answer was NO. Anyways, this is very interesting for those students out there so read on. It's about student laptop insurance that is very affordable for every student. The K-12 laptop insurance policy covers all kinds of computers and has a replacement cost coverage against all kinds of damages, fire, theft, vandalisms and natural disasters. These are the things we experience all the time so why not try studentinsurancepartners.com. Just think about it, It's affordable and at least you're protected.

H-O-T in San Diego

Yes, It's Hot over here! It started to heat up a few days ago, Those sweaty sleepless nights are just plain ridiculous! It's like being back in Hawaii, goodness... We take 2 to 3 baths just to feel cool and comfortable.(sigh) I can't wait for Winter, I really don't mind being in 3 layers at all. Anyways, The little boy celebrated his 7th birthday today. We ordered a small spongebob cake for him from Goldilocks. He loves his cake very much, although Spongebob's friend Patrick wasn't on the cake, he was a bit disappointed with that, He asked us the night before if we bought the cake from Walmart, and when he found out that we got it from a different place he was kinda sad. But we reminded him that he was supposed to be thankful because at least he got a cake! Compared to majority of unfortunate kids around the world who can't even afford to have cakes on their birthdays. He finally realized it and was happy again. Kids, I tell ya.

Heal my heart

One of my gradeschool bff's posted her own opinion on her facebook. Everyone reacted like she had some kind of problem. She is one of the very frank girls I know in my life, and that's a good thing. She posted something about a lot of people flooding their facebook walls with so much of their problems on being fat, losing weight, material stuff, etc. When there are truly far more unfortunate people out there who still smile even when they are hungry, malnourished and poor... If you have a problem right now, think about the poor souls out there who are more deserving to talk more about their problems in life. I do rant all the time, but reading that made me realize... Why am I so worried? Why am I angry? When seriously, there is nothing really to worry about. We have a lot to be thankful for because we have homes to live in, we have cars to take us anywhere, food, clothing, you name it. Sometimes I feel sad when I'm like this, and I pray to God to take the anger away from my heart. I am blessed and I don't have the right to feel this way. Think about the people who are very unfortunate around the world. Don't tell me you never felt this way in your life.

Now you know.

It's about 12:13 AM according to my laptop clock. My husband has his PT test around noontime tomorrow, I advised him to skip his gym time in the morning and get some more sleep while I drop the kids off at school. Before I hit the sack, I am reading about projector reviews at ---, They talk about the new presentation of data projectors in this generation. I remember how big the old projectors were, but the pocket projectors they have right now is very convenient and it will act out as a pass-through projector as long as you just attach it to a laptop, cellphone, video camcorder, etc. and you are all set up for a business meeting presentation, anywhere, anytime. How lovely, huh? This is an eye candy with all those tech savvy people put there. Truly worth it if you ask me.

dress stress

I was so stressed for the past two days. You're asking me why? I've never hated shopping so much! Shopping for the perfect dress is on the bottom of my list. My hubbykins is my personal shopper, he was very patient with me... He was the one storming through the racks trying to find the perfect black dress. I wanted to cry because it seemed so hopeless. My niece's 18th birthday will be in about a month and I haven't chosen anything yet. So far today I had 3 votes on a long black gown, I was thinking that maybe I could still use it later on when I get pregnant someday. We went everywhere, from The factory outlet, Jc Penney's, Macy's, Burlington, Lane Bryant, Ross, Marshalls... I say, hopeless! But what's important is I have an option now, thank God. We have to go back to the stores again to check out more dresses and more important - shoes! accessories are all good so I can check that off the list.

I'm still thinking about getting something for my niece. She's almost leaving for college and I'm thinking of giving her personalized gifts and I know she will definitely love it! Anything that has her name is a winner. She's a hello kitty lover like me, so I am thinking about that, too. Well, I'm currently scrapping a mini album for her as a gift hopefully I can finish it up on time.

Dreams do come true

Sometimes. Everybody knows that. Dreams can tell our future, mostly it interprets the way we feel, It all grinds down to emotions. Sometimes when you dream about bad and traumatic situations doesn't mean it'll happen in real life. Coming from a family who believes in superstitions It's not bad to believe in some of these and do what you can to counter it. But often times I don't believe in it, because the more you believe in it the more it will come true. You just give more power to make it come true. It sounds scary, doesn't it?

I do believe in some dreams, and I do take it seriously. One time when I was still young my mom dreamed about a turtle lying on it's back and my mom prayed so hard because she knew someone was going to die in our family, a few days later we found out my grandfather was so sick my mom took off a few days to the province. Later on, he passed away. I dreamed that my teeth fell out one by one but nobody really died, I guess it was just telling me about my fears in life. My parents owned a dream dictionary back then and every time we had a dream we would look for what it means. I still do today, I look it up online and there are hundreds of meanings out there. It doesn't hurt to believe but sometimes you just have to have faith in the Lord.

slow-mo

You know, I just wish my work place can buy memory over at Buy.com. Our computer at work where we check our emails and input our WIC (Women, Infants, and Children ) vouchers is a pain in the neck. Every single time we need to use the computer it runs soooo slow, It's not even funny. I think It takes about ten to fifteen minutes to log in, and every time you click a link It takes another five minutes to load. Plain ridiculous. That computer seriously need an upgrade. FAST. Not only that, after inputting 50+ checks and hitting the view report link, How surprising to find out it didn't go through after all. What a bummer. Well, It's back to square one when you have at least two failed attempts.

fun, fun + back to school

We went to Universal studios yesterday maybe for the last time for this year. We had a great time, I am so glad we went. It was Nate's first day of school today, too - It was only a minimum day so he got off school early. I can't believe my lil tyke is now a second grader! My, oh my how time flies by so fast... I want to go sleep right after reading about social security disability at allsup.com I want to get more information on this just in case one day someone is in need I can share advices regarding this subject. My goodness, It's only 11:09 pm but my eyes are getting sore from staring at the computer for so long. I hate it when I get time to go on the computer I suddenly stall and just browse around online forgetting about my tasks. I need to back up my computer before something happens to it. I guess I'll just do it tomorrow. Well, I'll see you guys later. :) goodnight!

busy, busy.... very sleepy

Before I hit the sack I need to read about some insurance quotes over at 2insure4less.com It just might be handy someday for me when a friend is in need, right. It's good to be ready with these information you just never know these days. I am really sleepy right now, It's about 2:21 in the morning and I am still wide awake. Although mr. sandman is starting to sprinkle a bit of sand on my eyes, I still need to finish a few tasks but it was just too bad some of them were gone now! I cried in dismay. That's a whole twenty bucks right there - gone! Down the drain. Well, I didn't have much time earlier and I am just soooo busy as usual, I can't wait for my days off, seriously. My week has been passing by so slow, It's plain ridiculous. Anyways, I was shopping around online, checking out on some handbags at Coach, I am so eyeing the Kristin signature ottoman handbag and It's wristlet. But I just might get the wristlet first. Add that to my wishlist. see you lovelies tomorrow. ;)

New found furry friend

Look who followed me home a few nights ago? This cute black feline followed me home a few nights ago. It's very tame and I know It's a female because it is quite light and healthy. I never feed her since she's our next door neighbor's cat. I've seen quite a few burly male cats around the complex, but for the first time I found a really tame one. :) When I park my vehicle outside our complex at night when I get home from work she's usually sitting down on top of the wall.

I vow not to have any cat or dog here in the US until I am back in the Philippines. It's just too expensive having pets around, just thinking about the shots, store bought food, the medical and hygiene care... I don't think we can handle it. Maybe one day when my kids are all grown up and have families of their own, I might consider it... I'll have to butter up the husband if I need to, hehehe. But seriously, I'm just being practical. And if they die, It gets me so heart broken, I mourn months and months when a cat/kitten dies. :(

The past few nights her meows were just annoying! And The other morning, I heard her meowing. I peeked through the window and surprisingly there's the black cat standing in front of our door. Then she started scratching the door hoping she could get in. Then a bit later, I saw her close to the BBQ grill just chillin'. (sigh) I wish it was my cat... but it's just too bad she isn't. I never feed her because when something happens to that cat I don't want to be accountable for it. I also refrain from playing with her too much, or else she would bug us to death! hehehe...

being healthy

So the husband went to the gym today leaving me with Nathan. We take turns going to the gym since his cousins are usually not home to babysit. Plus Jon is trying very hard to be fit for his physical on Tuesday, we're praying so hard that he'll pass it. If he passes it - basic training will be on October! I'll start focusing more on my weight loss. Speaking of weight loss, me and the hubs added fiber (Metamucil) to our daily diet, and my oh my - It's pretty good! If you are more into diet pills I suggest you check out this site called weightlosspills.net that way you can learn more about weight loss pills that are out in the market, It's better to be safe than sorry. Anyways, I can never get back to using diet pills, ever. My body hates it so much so I guess exercising and proper diet works fine for me.

D-DAY

The husband just left to go the US Army recruiting office at Balboa today. He's taking his ASVAB test around noon. He promised me that if he gets a high score we will be watching Eclipse today. If not... well, we're gonna stay home and just continue doing laundry. He's been a nervous wreck ever since he started reviewing his ASVAB. I was helping him review the past few days, I just wish he could get the score he wants. I asked him last night if he was nervous for basic training, and he was like 'I'm much nervous for the test, basic training is ok,' funny guy....

We tried comforting him as much as we can. I know he can do it. He's been preparing for this for months and I don't see why he has to give up now. Joining the military was the last option. He lost weight in a matter of months, if he doesn't make it then at least he had lost the weight and that's a great benefit for his health, It's time to move on with other options. If he has a great score on his ASVAB he'll be tested for Physical and I think he can ace that. From push ups, sit ups and running miles... I believe he can do it.

I remembered when the recruiter told me back in 2003 that I couldn't join the Navy because I had a C-section, he wanted me to go back the next following year when I'm all healed up, plus I still had 10 lbs to lose back then. But laziness reared it's ugly head and I didn't go back because I was already comfortable with my job. I'm 27 now and if the husband doesn't make it in the Army, I'll make sure I get in myself. I will try my best for the sake of my family.

I kept on praying for him... He has a lot of potential. The Army SGT. he talked to looked at his college diploma and he said that if my husband ever gets in, he will get to be an E-4 right away. My husband has his regrets, he waited until he was in his late 30's to join the service. And when I compared my husband's body the first time I met him and today, I say his present body is the fittest I have seen. And he too admitted that he never felt so fit in his life. Ever since we pulled him to the gym, he has never stopped since. :)

I'm on pins and needles right now just waiting for his call.... doing laundry at the moment and I need to check out this epson receipt printer, my work place definitely need to change their receipt printers, they are all breaking down like potato chips, seriously they need a make over like, right now. Every time I change the receipt paper, the top just falls off! Anyways, got to for now, my first load of laundry is done.

Happy birthday, Gully!

I had conversations with my co-worker about loved ones dying a few months ago. She had experienced a lot on her part and It was mainly about cancer. She got all choked up when I also told her about my brother who died from cancer last August 2008. It was such an emotional moment when we were talking about our loved ones who left us. I am pretty much open now to talk about loved ones who passed away, I give emotional support to people who need them. I've trained myself to accept the fact that my brother is gone. He is not coming back anymore, that's what I told myself. I loved my brother so much, I had lost a best buddy in my life. But I prayed to God every day to guide me and accept the truth. As hard as it is, I had learned to accept it. Yeah, Once in awhile I still cry, but that's normal. I know wherever he is right now he is looking down on us and smiling. I know he is guiding us with the help of our Lord, that's why I'm thankful. He's our angel and we will never ever forget him.

Today he turns 24. Happy birthday, Gulliver! :)

Before I get some sleep I need to head on over a website that pays attention to Mesothelioma. So if you are interested on reading about this certain cancer, I suggest you do so it just might help somebody in the near future.

snowy

I've never wanted to live in places that has or experiences snow. Maybe to go on vacations, that's the only thing I want... Other than that, no thanks. I don't know, It seems fun... But just the thought of buying snow boots and a whole winter wardrobe is like very expensive for me. Well, I still keep the options open on moving to places that experiences snow, so maybe I won't mind then. I love the cold season, but not the icy part. The cold weather I experienced here in California is enough for me, I have like 3 layers on me when I first got here last fall, I was frozen to the bone! So I can't imagine myself driving in the snow either. Yikes! Scary as it is, but I think I can manage. It's nice to experience a different season for once, right? My son Nathan had experienced his first snow when he visited Atsugi, Japan last 2005 along with my mother-in-law. My sister-in-law and her family were stationed there so he got to experience playing with snow. Unfortunately, as much as we wanted to visit Japan we didn't get a chance to do it, too bad - I would love to visit Japan! :)

I love you!

My husband has come from a well off and influential family but I am so proud of him for being such a great father and provider. We might not have a lot but there is just a lot of blessings to be thankful for. He's such a hard worker. We've been together through thick and thin. He is a man of his word, when he says something he makes sure he does it. He doesn't keep any promises yet he fulfills it and doesn't ask for anything in return. He's not sociable, which I am thankful for because he is far away from trouble, drama and whatnot. He tries very hard to be a best father. He's a disciplinarian, a teacher and a best friend to our little tyke, Nathan. On fathers day, since I had work that day, we just stayed at home and bonded like what we always do. We don't really eat out too much, and we give a lot of hugs and kisses to each other. You don't need fancy presents or expensive dinners, all you need is to be with your family at every special moment. I love my man so much, Thank God for giving him to me. :)

zap them zits

You know one thing I'm thankful for? Not having to deal with adult acne. I'm serious. I feel so bad when I see people with red bumps on their faces, It's like I want to invent a medicine that will make those awful zits go away permanently. I do get zits, but they only come one at a time and since I started going to the gym my face had been clearer than ever, so I don't really get them on a regular basis, I usually experience them when I have my monthly visitor. I am just fighting blemishes right now which is so hard to avoid. Sweating it out at the gym makes a big difference for your skin since it flushes out the dirt from your pores. Plus, I don't wear make up when I'm just at home. But I guess It's the hormones that's really a big factor when it comes to acne, creams and lotions sometimes doesn't work so It's better to consult a doctor when you know your acne is on it's severe stage.

the bun is done :)

Last June 26, my friend's baby Darlene has finally popped out! The last time we went out for brunch was around march, and her baby bump is soooo round. I am so green with envy with every baby bump I see. I wonder when I'll get to spread the news that I have a bun in the oven? My time is almost up, because our deadline for the next baby would be 2011... Anyways, I wasn't sure if Donna had someone with her since it's only her and her 7 year old son, The husband is in the Navy and just went on deployment and It's really sad that he couldn't be there to see the baby. Tsk, that's the only down side of being in a military family, you usually miss a lot. I saw the pictures she posted on facebook, she has a cute little baby girl now! :)

RepairPal to the rescue!

As much I hate to admit it, yes - we have been involved in a few accidents these past years and It's really such a shame, too. Like what happened to me three years ago, Hubby bought a new vehicle which was a mini van and since It was brand new I was kinda hesitant driving it, I just dropped of my mom and brother at the Hospital when I was driving down the ramp, a bunch of trucks were driving up and I got scared and silly me scratched my right side of the van while turning right. It was terrible. I called my husband right away, and he was at work at the time. I didn't know what to do, I just wished there was a shop like RepairPal somewhere that I could take the van to. I think RepairPal is available in a lot of locations around the states like in Chicago, just in case you need a Chicago auto repair, you know where to go. Check out their website for more information, if you have one in your area check out their shop directory. I think this site is great, because it not only helps with car repairs, but it helps you with more information about cars and price estimates. So if you have any problems with your car, be sure to check them out and see if you have a RepairPal in your area today.

dog on a leash

That's what majority of people say when they see toddlers on a leash. Animal inspired (LOL) When I first saw one a few years ago, I thought it was cute. My mind didn't spark any feeling of anger against the parent at all. Yeah, it does look degrading but if you think about it, YOU are protecting your children that way. I remember my son when he was only 3 before, he couldn't stay put and if you take your eyes away from your child just a few seconds - ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN! When I bring my son to shop I make sure I put him in the cart so he doesn't get away from me. Holding a child doesn't work, he could easily slip away and you'll never know where your toddler is at. My mom called me last week and reminded me to take good care of Nathan no matter what. Because there was an accident that happened on their street, The dad was on the other side of the road when the toddler ran to his father and a vehicle had hit the boy. Poor thing. Can you imagine this as your child? Scary, isn't it?

When I also watched Pet Sematary before and the boy wanders off into the road, then a truck was approaching really fast and before he could stop he had hit the boy. It's devastating! No matter how degrading products are made this days to protect your children, Just think about the best thing you can do for them. That's why I'm adding this on my baby check list for my next pregnancy.

oh my gym

I am so upset with myself, seriously. It's been a few days with no gym! Can you believe that? I am too busy. We did a lot of things the past week that's why I missed a lot of my days working out. So far I've reached 209 lbs. that's a total of 39 lbs. gone. Although it usually stays above 210 or 211 and maybe a few weeks later it will come down to 209. That's how my weight loss works, It's a bit slow but as they say It's better than losing it all at once. I have a better chance of not gaining it all back in the future, which is good. Oh how I wish we can have any kind of fitness equipment here at home like a treadmill, So I can run for at least 30 minutes or an hour. It will also save us on gas, that's for sure. I miss going to the gym! I feel so accomplished when I sweat out real good. I feel like I am melting my fats every day. Anyways, I hope I can go tomorrow morning. :(

The deadliest catch

Hubby is so addicted watching this show ever since it first came out. It's just so sad that captain Phil is gone :(. Whenever hubby watches this, He tells me it's his dream to become one of the fishermen there... and I'm like "whaaat??" You gotta be kidding me! He says it's only a dream anyway. Look how scary it is to be in the vast Bering sea?! I salute those fishermen. They're very heroic to go out there and do one of the scariest jobs in the world. I can't imagine myself or my husband being in that business, It's like chasing Death. Anytime your life would be over. Accidents are also a big part of it almost every day, very scary. But if you do get hurt while working at sea, There's this Gulf Coast Jones Act where employees from cruise ships, oil and gas industry employees and seamen have the right to have a lawyer and can be entitled to compensation from people who have been responsible for your injuries. Check it out over at lawyerforyou.com for more information on Maritime accidents.

my future online shop

Yep! You heard it right. I'm planning on opening up my online shop in the near future. It won't be soon enough though. I am thinking of bringing in little homemade pieces a few at a time. Here are the following things I have in mind:

1. jar sets
2. picture frames
3. table runners
4. pillow cases
5. handbags
6. painted mugs
7. vases

Everything will be country, girly and Victorian inspired. I had a Japanese clay craft book when I was a kid, a gift sent from my dad when he used to live in Guam. So loved that book! In it were stuff all made with polymer clay like Buttons, flowers, jewelry, etc. I was so inspired with it, I just wished I've brought it along with me when I married and moved away from the Philippines. I hope that book is still alive. :( I'll start out small on ETSY, hopefully It'll be a successful one. I'm still thinking of a good name for my shop. Any suggestions? :)

who is this??

This is pretty cool. Some of you probably know this already, for those who don't stare at it for about a few minutes, maybe a minute will do - and tell me who you see!

I used to remember the old doorbell sounds were just those regular ding dong and buzzing sounds. But when I visit people's homes, they have different varieties of sounds, like my sister-in-law's home, she has the Westminster Chime. I remembered when I first got here I thought it was the sound of a grandfather clock, although she doesn't have one. Funny, I know. Take a look at this site where they offer door chimes, You might be interested getting some different sounds for your sweet little home. I want one, too but I don't have a home yet. Try yours today!

ah-choo!

Sniffles. Hate them. Very much. I was born with a sensitive nose just like my dad's. Every morning ever since I was a kid, I would wake up sneezing and a few hours later I would be back to normal. What's worse is, I have plenty of cats at home and I really loved them so I didn't want to get rid of them just because of my allergies. I had to live with it. I take my allergy medicine once in awhile, dust still triggers it and I hate it when my husband or my son pinches my nose. I promise myself when we get our new home, I'd replace our old regular pillows and mattress covers with allergy mattress covers that would be great for me and my family. When we moved here in California, Our windows were always opened so every morning I was sneezing like crazy, good thing I was still on leave at that time, Thank God. Can't wait! Bye bye allergies.

so emotional

Hubby visited the US Army recruiter today. Great news! So far he passed the physical requirements, He'll take the ASVAB next week on Wednesday! aaww... I'm so happy for him. As much I hate him joining the military, It will be for the best. We need your prayers hopefully he'll do good on his test. Thank you, friends!! :D

Bag-a-holic

Yep, that's moi! I've always been a bag-a-holic ever since I was in high school. I am obsessed with bags, period. I really don't care if they're cheap and no-name brands as long as I love the design and It goes perfectly well with my outfit, I'm all for it! Everyday, I see women strutting in their favorite designer bags like Coach, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Fendi, Michael Kors, Chanel, you name it - because I know a fake when I see one. I can't be too judgmental either, because I have nothing against fake designer bags. It's your personal choice, you know. When my sister-in-law and I visited LA Fashion district a few months ago, I was totally blown away with all the fake designer handbags worth $20.00 each, and I'm like DANG! I was tempted to buy but I stopped myself. I don't want to be bombarded with questions if it is a fake or not, It's just not worth it. I can't blame people why they go for fake labels either, It's just too pricey! But if you think about quality over quantity, Then you'll know which is better. Some say fakes do look tacky on a person, but I figured It's the way you handle yourself, not every body can look good with a fake designer handbag. ;)

Since hubbykins bought me a Coach bag from Las Vegas last year (yes, that's a splurge for me) he promised me that he'll buy me another one some day, Only next time It's another designer bag. I am obsessed with bags, people - but I know my limitation... if you know you can't afford it - DO NOT MAX OUT YOUR CREDIT CARD! The temptation will always be there so be sure to fight it as long as you can. So far, I hadn't done anything crazy yet, thank God. Once in awhile, It's also good to pamper yourself. Give yourself some lovin' and treat yourself with something that you really like. We're not rich, but I know in due time with patience and faith, rewards will come pouring in.

I also decided to save. Every penny counts. If you are very eager to own a designer bag, save some money each month until you can afford to buy yourself the most affordable designer handbag that you want. :) Trust me, patience, faith and reward...

Every one of my co-workers own Louis Vouitton bags, like The Artsy MM, Tivoli Gm and The speedy 35. I guess once in awhile It is ok to splurge on yourself especially when you really deserve a job well done, right?

So, I just updated my wishlist on designer handbags below. :)

I'll be aiming for a Gucci or LV the next time. (crosses fingers)

glimmer of hope

Well, I finally passed my application for an opening of a higher level at work. I'm currently a GS-04, and I applied for a full time Lead store associate which is a 5. It's hard to get that one, I've been waiting for a full time position for such a long time now. What I hate about myself is I lack the confidence. My husband and the rest of my friends at work boosts my confidence that I can do it. But just by looking at the greater responsibilities you have to face when you land the job - It seems so scary! Then, learning who are those people who are applying for the position, I suddenly just lose faith in myself. I know how to accept failures, so If I don't get the job I guess It's not meant for me and there will be more openings the next time around. Before I passed my application, I had to make sure my assessment questionnaire is complete and my resume updated. All I have to do now is wait. (sigh) I'm such a nervous wreck, I need to scrap!

mini albums galore

What can I say?? I LOVE THEM! I can't stop thinking of making my very first mini album. I am planning on making one for my niece's birthday on September, It will also serve as a gift for her before she leaves for College. She will be attending UC Irvine. I met her when she was 10. She was an awesome little girl, very humorous. She still is up to now. She never runs out of ideas and jokes, never a dull moment. I am very blessed to witness Celina and her brother Thomas growing up before my eyes.

There are hundreds of mini albums over HERE, The inspiration is just endless. I can't wait to make my family mini albums as well. This can be a great gift to a friend or loved one. Just choose a theme and you can start from there. I am planning a hybrid one and currently choosing the best pictures to go within the mini album. I'm just finding the time to make one, I don't seem to find any available time to make it since we have many errands left and right. Scrapbooking is fun, what more if you're working on a mini?

Make yours today!

so crafty

Just finished fixing the giveaways along with my niece and sister-in-law for Celina's installation. She will be crowned honored queen on Saturday, My sister-in-law has prepared so much for her daughter's installation. I helped out by designing the invitations and the backdrop that my mother-in-law made to ordered in the Philippines. My sister-in-law designed the program as well as the giveaways, everything was black and white and just elegant looking! I agree with my SIL, Whenever there's a special event for your children make it more special by planning it real well in a timely manner. It only happens once in a lifetime, So make it special while you can. I looked at the garbage bag where scraps of cardstocks have been thrown away, I had to save them for my scrapbooking pages. My SIL laughed at me because instead of using new papers I had to resort to scraps. It was a very fun and girly time. I wish I had my own work space. When the time comes I want to choose my own office furniture so I can have my own place to work in for my scrap projects, etc. I can't work with anything in my tiny little space besides the window. It's also a bit crowded, I need to clean up and throw away unnecessary papers.

Rest in peace...

Our Uncle (hubby's side) just passed away from a heart attack a few days ago, He was 73... So sad... My mother-in-law just arrived last June 1st, now she's heading back to the Philippines for our uncle's funeral. She was suppose to go home Aug. 1st. He was sure a respectable person and he was everyone's friend. I can't believe he's gone now, even my mom cried. I am not related by blood but I cried so bad when I found out he was gone. Life sure is unpredictable... You don't really know what you've got until It's gone.
So hug your loved one today and express how much you love them. Life is too short. You never know, today... tomorrow... that person might just leave just like that.

Whatever hatred you have inside you right now, release it and pray to our Lord for help. So Spend time with your loved ones today. :)

Beauty regimens

I don't have perfect skin, to tell you the truth. I have scars left by that horrible chicken pox! I was 16 then and It was terrible! But of course after I had it I had to accept it and move on, what else is there to do? have plastic surgery? HA! I wish. But of course no matter what, you need to love your skin ALWAYS. I just pamper my skin by taking care of it 24/7. What ticks me off are blackheads. Pretty sure you loathe them, too. Not surprising why everybody hates them. Those tiny black hairs just ruin your day! They're so irritating to look at. There are lots of ways getting rid of blackheads and there are creams out there to help you with that. I've given up on creams because they worsen blackheads based on experience, I don't know about you maybe creams work for you, It probably depends on skin types. What I do to maintain healthy skin is to wash my face with warm water to open up my pores and pat my face dry. Then I use a Fine Loop extractor to push out the blackheads gently without scarring my face. After that, I wash my face with cold water to close the pores. I feel fresh after doing this, It minimizes oily skin and you'll have a fresh, clean and clear face. It's also better than those nose strips that hurts so bad!
