She jumped up as soon as she saw
the surgeon
come out of the operating room. She said: "How is
my little boy? Is he going to be all right? When can
I see him?"
The surgeon said, "I'm sorry. We did all we could,
but your boy didn't make it."
Sally said, "Why do little children get cancer?
Doesn't God care any more? Where were you,
God, when my son needed you?"
The surgeon asked, "Would you like some time
alone with your son? One of the nurses will be out
in a few minutes, before he's transported to the
university."
Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she
said good-bye to son. She ran her fingers lovingly
through his thick red curly hair.
"Would you like a lock of his hair?" the nurse
asked.
Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the
boy's hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to
Sally. The mother said, "It was Jimmy's idea to
donate his body to the University for Study. He
said it might help somebody else. "I said no at
first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after
I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend
one more day with his Mom." She went on, "My
Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of
someone else. Always wanting to help others if he
could."
Sally walked out of Children's mercy Hospital for
the last time, after spending most of the last six
months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's
belongings on the seat beside her in the car. The
drive home was difficult. It was even harder to
enter
the empty house. She carried Jimmy's belongings,
and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her
son's room. She started placing the model cars
and other personal things back in his room exactly
where he had always kept them. She laid down
across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried
herself to sleep.
It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Laying
beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The
letter said:
"Dear Mom, I know you're going to miss me; but
don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop
loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say I LOVE
YOU. I will always love you, Mom, even more with
each day. Someday we will see each other again.
Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you
won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can
have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you
decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn't
like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy
her dolls and stuff girls like, you know. Don't be
sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place.
Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got
here and showed me around some, but it will take
a long time to see everything. The angels are so
cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know
what? Jesus doesn't look like any of his pictures.
Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus
himself took me to see GOD! And guess what,
Mom? I got to sit on God's knee and talk to Him,
like I was somebody important. That's when I told
Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you
good-bye and everything. But I already knew that
wasn't allowed. Well, you know what Mom? God
handed me some paper and His own personal pen
to write you this letter. I think Gabriel is the name
of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to
you. God said for me to give you the answer to
one of the questions you asked Him 'Where was He
when I needed him?' "God said He was in the
same place with me, as when His son Jesus was
on the cross. He was right there, as He always is
with all His children.
Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what
I've written except you. To everyone else this is
just a blank piece of paper. Isn't that cool? I have
to give God His pen back now. He needs it to write
some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I
get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm,
sure the food will be great.
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore.
The cancer is all gone. I'm glad because I couldn't
stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to
see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent
The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel
said I was a Special Delivery! How about that?
Signed with Love from God, Jesus & Me.
(Let's see Satan stop this one.) Take 60-seconds
and repost this, within the hour, you will have
caused a multitude of believers to pray to God for
each other. Then sit back and feel the Holy Spirit
work in your life for doing what you know God
loves

something."

CONGRATS!
I forgot to say Congratulations to the newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Gonzaga!!! We were exchanging emails today and she sent some wedding pics of her and her hubby, I am so happy for her. so a little gift for them both, I made a little scrap =P Jessielyn (Is that how you spell it, Jez?) was my schoolmate years 1999-2001 back in Olongapo City Wesley School. We weren't really that close before since we had our own bestfriends at that time. As years went by I found myself being close to her even only in emails and at friendster. I can't really believe she's already married na! congrats, sis! you both deserve each other.

yesterday I drove my mom and Nathan to Ala Moana beach park, I wanted to take pictures but I remembered I had lent it to my brother a few days ago coz he went to Camp for Cancer patients, I miss my camera (boo-hoo) so yeah, it was a lovely day so me and Nathan were just running around the park playing soccer and chasing the birds away (so cute!) so anyways, I envied the 3 sets of newlyweds who went to the park with their photographers, just in time coz the sun was about to go down, and OH MY GOODNESS just looking at them with their poses within the sunset was pure romantic! (sigh) I just loved the first set who came- they were a Japanese couple and they were just so cute together. hmmmm.... ok, people thanks for visiting, have a nice blessed day to everyone!

NO DRUGS!
People involved in drug addiction or Alcoholism can be pretty harmful to their health as well as to their family and friends. My dad told me one day he tried it once when he was very young for curiosity's sake and never again he went back to it. because he knew for sure what he was in for. I was very proud that my dad didn't inhibit that kind of lifestyle. To help people fight these problems There's this non-profit rehab referral service that can help you get the proper drug treatment you or a loved one can get. All you have to do is call them up and they will refer you to a best and effective drug rehab and intervention that you can get. So if anyone is need of any kind of help whether it's drug addiction or alcoholism, please call them up now and let some of their best counselors help you or a friend to find the best rehabilitation program at no charge at all.

Drug Rehab
Back home in the Philippines, that was like 5 years ago an old family friend had discussed her personal family issues to us. her and her family were really close to us until one day she cried and opened up about her son's drug addiction. It was quite going on for awhile and we were so shocked to hear about the news coz first of all her son was a very good friend of ours and we didn't think that he could do any of that. Unfortunately, the mom didn't know what to do. We tried our best to support her but she didn't do anything to help her son which was really sad. I have heard quite a few stories from a few friends I've heard about how some of their friends' sons and daughters who were addicted to drugs and not getting help at all. So if you or a friend is in need of help, at narconon they will help you get the help you'll need. drug addiction is serious and if we don't act now, who will? What's best about this Drug Rehabilitation Program is they don't use no medication at all. They only provide proper nutrition as well as supplementation to help the person in need, and not only that the People involved in this program are once addicts themselves and they will help you transform back from who you are. So whoever needs help conquering addiction drugs or alcohol, this program is right for you. let's all help each other for a better clean future.

Nathan and Gingy
I really want to avoid Mcdonalds =P why, you ask? It's because of those darn happy meal toys. so far Nathan is collecting the shrek toys they got there, everytime we go out and shop if he sees Mcdonalds he'll go run to the display. or if I'm driving and we pass by a Mcdonald chain he says 'pls.' all the time, giving me that soft look, puppy dog eyes kinda thing. hayy, it's so hard being a mom, yet it's so fun at the same time. up to now I still can't believe I'm a mom. w-ell, Nathan deserves it. he's been doing good in his reading and writing skills. so anyways, the pic on the left that's the latest toy he got and it's driving us crazy! you see he has this gumdrop button when you push it, it says "bye-bye!" and I don't know what else (lol) he keeps on pushing it, pushing it, pushing it like a broken record player.. ugh. especially at night, the noise just drives us up the wall. (sigh) kids... speaking of the Gingerbread man, I miss going to Universal studios! me and hubby are just talkin' about it last night. I truly miss our trip to california so much... hehee, I wanna go in fun rides like the roller coaster and all that, visit Mickey and the gang! Nathan was like "momma, momma! I wanna go to Disneyland, too!" I kept telling him he already had been to Disneyland (tokyo, that is) we're just saying "yes" repeatedly to him, and yes, he's happy and excited. =P

PPP, I love you!
I just want to let you guys know that I have signed up and had been approved by PayPerPost. I am so happy because my hardwork really paid off, so far after submitting my very first post a few days later I saw it was approved already! you couldn't imagine the happiness I felt at that time, it just made me a lil nervous coz this site is really something else, and I was kinda intimidated to join but thank goodness after reading a lot of my friends' blogs which of course I am very grateful to them coz they are the ones who had introduced me to PayPerPost. I met a few good friends who are into PayPerPost. I was actually challenged to try it myself, and lo and behold I finally did! I signed up around the end of May and got approved around the 5th of June. I think this site is a really cool way to blog about what you love and get paid to blog at the same time, all is fair. It's easy, all you have to do is just sign up and let the leaves fall into their rightful places. good luck!

blehh...
I feel sad. I don't know why. basta, nakakainis sobra! bakit ba nagkakaroon ng taong plastic?? naiinis ako sobra. I'm so pissed really, but I can't do anything. ang hirap ilabas yung nararamdaman ko ngayon. why does it have to take at least one person to ruin my day? why? I hate ranting. I'm usually a happy person, but sometimes I can't take it anymore. (sigh) basta I hate, hate plastic people. they're nice to you now but later they talk crap behind your back, what's up with that, huh? what an arrogant loser!
I went to cancel a transaction on register 20 today coz a guest was trying to pay for the groceries without a military ID, after cancelling it this girl from register 19 looked at me (let's call her K) she called me...
K: hey, Kit! are you closing tonight?
ME: uhm, yeah.
she made a disappointing face which really made me angry inside.
K: aww, so L isn't closing then? shucks... (L is a 50+ yrs old male)
ME: yeah, yeah I know you guys hate me! (smiling)
K: well, it's not that. we just like L better.(yeah, right)
helloooo, you just said that in my face?? she said she was only joking, but I can feel she was such a PHONEY. I was just so pissed at her, so whenever she called me and asked me something I just gave her a straight answer, no smiles or whatever. ok, she's only 18, she started working 2 months ago at our place. she has relatives working there, too. and because of her so-so attitude she thought she could get away with everything. If she only knew that she's under observation by our directors and managers, eversince the cigarette box incident, she tried to steal 2 marlboro boxes, and there were witnesses, but instead of letting her go they gave her a warning. my managers told us to keep a close watch on her coz she already had 2 cigarette box incidents, she's been losing a lot of money on her cash drawer which sums up to hundreds already, I think she's under investigation. seriously, everybody in our store calls her a "witch face" because of her very thin black eyebrows. she has such an attitude, why can't she be more like her cousin? I love her cousin very much, they are totally opposites!
she doesn't like me coz first of all when I work, I keep her close by and not close to the cigarettes display. whenever she want to leave her register I tell her not to do so, I am not like one of the leads. I don't let a person push my buttons ever. I don't like arguing with people, even if I do I always keep a good poise, no loud arguments or whatever. I play it cool no matter what. so far I've never been into fights in my life, I just vent it all out with some friends, that's all.
don't mind me, I just needed to vent. It's unhealthy keeping it back. maybe it's almost that time of the month again, argh.. I can just feel it. hmphh..
anyways, I'd really love to change my layout again. boredom hehee. I love charmmy kitty, anyone know a great wallpaper site out there that I can use as a layout? =)

how sweet....=)
I opened my inbox this morning around 8am, as I was munching on breakfast I saw an email from a girl named Iva. Hello from an unknown friend :) I read. then clicked on it. as I read her email I was just astonished by it, so touched you couldn't imagine.
Dear Kitty,
You don't know me but I've been reading your blog for about a year. I never commented (because I always felt too shy) but I decided to finally drop you a line. I always found your blog very inspiring. I found myself very often in complicated situations in life and in endless search for a deeper meaning etc. etc. and when it gets depressing I remember you and how you manage to remind your readers that the beauty of life is in its simplicity, in loving our families, in true friendships and in cute little things. I don't have a blog but maybe one day I open one. I actually wanted to ask you if it would be ok if I added you to my yahoo chat friends list?
I know, it probably sounds weird since you don't know me and all, but I think we have a few similarities and maybe we could chat sometimes. I am also 23 and my hubby-to-be is 10 years older than me, I'm not a mummy but I have much younger sister who I've been somewhat raising throughout the years. I'm in Europe but my fiance grew up in the Philippines so I know a bit about the country and plan to visit it one day. And yup, I love pixels and all things cute :).
So if it's ok with you, I'll add you as a chat friend. Just let me know :)
Have a nice day!
xoxo,
Iva
see, you don't get letters like these everyday. It's been awhile since I've had people send me nice emails, and once in awhile It just warms the heart so much. it makes you smile, makes your day complete. coz you know THERE are people out there who read about your day to day life. so when you do have a blog and notice no one comments a lot on it don't ever worry about it coz we always have friends out there just being shy to interact with us, that's all. I really appreciate people who take the time to sit down and write a nice comment about a person. after reading her email I suddenly remembered Lin, she started out like Iva, she didn't had any blog at that time, she told me that she was a frequent visitor of mine, etc. and of course I was always delighted to read her emails since she was a very supportive friend, and up to now we're still such great buddies inspite of our busy life offline we still have time to chat sometimes (thank you, Lin!) I truly admire people who are like that. I am so thankful for each and every one of you (you all know who you are) thank you so much!
and to Iva: thank you so much for making my day. If you need someone to talk to just lemme know, I'm just an email away. ;)
hehee, it's so weird blogging daily, really. maybe I'm not really used to it? but I try my best to give juicy entries, anyways it's my blog, so if you haven't read my previous entries (you can always skim through it) you'll be missing a lot and you are not required to comment on each entry, don't worry =P I decided I wanna get http://kittys-haven since my blog is my little haven on the net.
sooo... link exchanges, anyone? pls. drop me a line and if you wanna add me on ym it's kit_cruz@yahoo.com you can also email me at kittyshome_04@yahoo.com for any questions or comments, or simply because you just wanna say something.
have a blessed day everyone!

Orlando's vacation homes
We are planning to take our next vacation to Orlando, Florida 2 to 3 years from now, and just the thought of it just excites me so much. So if you are planning your vacation to Florida along with your family try the Orlando vacation home from VillaDirect, for sure your family will love this! They have lots of selections, you can choose from 2 to 7 bedroom house rentals to town homes and condos. What's best about these vacation homes, they are all perfectly located with easy access to amusement parks which of course your family will enjoy and can save time as well. most of these homes have private pools, spa pools, spacious bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and lots more, not to mention it has plenty of extra amenities you have to enjoy. so think about it, renting a Vacation home in Orlando is typically less than half the price of a hotel room. Just think of the extra benefits you'll get from this, I am pretty sure your family will thank you.

OMG =/
I just finished changing Nathan his diaper and not even a minute he already pooped in his newly changed diaper, I'm tellin' ya I can't wait for him to be potty trained. my auntie told me that her daughter (my cousin) Marie was only trained twice, but hello not all kids are the same, we can't really force them if they still don't want to. the other day I was off from work I potty trained Nathan, I lied that there wasn't any diaper left at the closet so he said ok but refused to put his undies on, cripes a half hour later he cried that he pooped in the carpet! me and my mom were like laughing like crazy, oh boy. we had to clean the carpet real good. I can't believe my Nathan is growing so fast, just awhile ago I noticed Nathan's reading skills, he can actually read 3 letter words much faster than some weeks ago. preshools can be a bit pricey but me and hubby are trying our best to teach Nathan as much as we can, after all it depends on the parents if they have the patience to teach their child, right? I hope all our hardwork will pay off someday. (checks clock) it's about 10:28 pm, I want to open my messenger right now. who wants to chat with me sa ym? I miss having chatmates, pls. add me kit_cruz@yahoo.com and those who wanna link exchange just drop me a line. thank youuuu!

The Police
Eversince I was younger my family has always loved listening to The Police. Thanks to my dad who's a great fan of Them, I love almost every song of this band and the greatest of them all is Every Breath You Take, I always listen to it up to now because it reminds me so much of my father when I was a very young girl. I get so emotional and all when I listen to it and I don't know why. This is my all time favorite band and I never get tired listening to their music, they have a unique way of expressing their songs, no wonder they have reached 30 years! incredible. I can't believe they are going to celebrate their 30th anniversary of their recording debut with a new double-cd collection, a 28-song set featuring the biggest hits from the band's 5 original studio albums, The police cd will be out in June 5, 2007 so be sure to run to your favorite music stores for a copy! and not only that, check this out.

mini shopping ooh-lala
I finally went to Old Navy a few days ago with my family, did a lil bit of shopping. gosh, there were a lot of sale goin' on and oh boy I couldn't just resist the price tags, they were all so cheap! I especially loved this piece, a gray knit tank dress, pretty comfortable to wear with your fave jeans, just for $15, not bad, eh? I am not really brand conscious, but you can always find me shopping at my fave stores like Ross, Charlotte Russe, Jeans warehouse, Papaya, Old navy and Gap. as long as I see pieces that are really comfortable and goes along with the rest of my wardrobe I always tend to buy it.
*sigh* sad to say hubby told me he didn't order any laptop for me just yet =/ yeahhh, bummer. but yesterday he kept on hinting about cancelling the laptop he just ordered. ok, now I just don't get it anymore! whatever, hehee... =)
Who wants to exchange links with me?? please drop me a comment I'll add you guys in my sidebar. and to the continuation of the domain suggestions, pls. suggest as many as you want, so I can have a wide array of selections to choose from. sky's the limit
Do you want to explore the night with the power of your fingertips? now you can with meade my sky. With this awesome gadget you can tour the night sky with just a click of a button not to mention it's featured with a full-color LCD screen. no need of humongous science instruments. When we were little kids me and my brother were always interested in seeing the stars at night, how I wish we had this one back then. It's a great way to learn a lot of things about the Universe. I've never really seen gadgets like these in personal but this one truly amazes me, what a fun way to learn about what's way beyond our planet.

wood blinds
back home when I was younger the last house I lived in was filled with plastic blinds and everytime we washed it we get a really hard time cleaning it since it takes a lot of our time, but I always knew blinds were better than curtains. check out this site with really wonderful wood blinds, It's nice owning one of these since we are planning to buy a home in a year or two, It'll be perfect for our living room. and what makes it great is it will never be affected by humidity and is fully washable. jut great for any home or office.

Thanks for the feedback on my latest entry, I guess we all feel the same way. but this is the blogging world and I appreciate every single person I've met for becoming one of my best friends on the net. hmm, been trying out for the money making sites online, hmm so far I really need to work a lot on it since it's really hard to start on it. I just don't have the time, argh.. when I come home my brother's using the computer, I have to teach Nathan his lessons before playing, hubby wants me to cuddle with him, etc. how in the world would I work on my sideline? anwyays, I don't get Payperpost? how do you actually start on that? call me DUMB but yeah... I so admire my friends like cherry rose and ate Honey for being so active in money making sites, how do you guys do it?? (lol) oh well, I had a rough day at work.. it was sooo busy! and we had a lot of new cashiers in training, and it seems we're getting more and more siblings everytime we hire =). I trained them yesterday, gosh I feel like a supervisor (but I am so far from that) they were like 11, and I heard there's more coming by the next few weeks, yikes. but they were all good things. I heard good comments about me from fellow co workers and it just makes my heart sing, how wonderful... ok, gotta go.. it's about 1:03 am, kelangan na matulog bago magising si hubby =P

Sometimes I love to bloghop, depends if I'm in the mood. I just remembered I left some kind comments (with nice feedback) for fellow bloggers long time ago, but never ever came to say thank you at all. what blogger etiquette is that? the last time I checked I read their sidebar: comments are always returned. I understand maybe they just forgot about me, or maybe because they judge the person before leaving any comment. that made me realize one day bloghopping is useless sometimes. (nakakatamad na minsan) whoever comments at my site I treat them my friend right away. I can distinguish the ones who are phoney and who are not. It's not important to have lots of comments anyway, lately blogging daily made me realize it's much more better than blogging weekly or monthly, I keep up with comments better. not like when I used to have 50 or more in a week it kinda overwhelms me and makes blogging life more stressful... but I assure you, I'll fill my blog with juicy posts (w-ell not that juicy) hehee..

I just signed up for it! and I am thinking of blogging on a daily basis, it's hard not getting enough fresh content. as you all know my mom and brother lives with us so the expenses have gone up (lol) so for that I signed up for payperpost, hopefully I'll have some opportunites every now and then. when you become a mom, you'll start to think of your family, so please bear with me guys... oh well, I'll be off now, time for me to sleep. later, gators!

grad party
I just finished attending the graduation party of my friend Kimmy's brother. It was awesome really, what touched me the most when I said goodbye today, the celebrant told me they really pulled a lot of strings so I could come to the party (that means I'm special) =P. It was held at the Pearl Country Club they had a lot of Hula and Tahitian intermissions, I swear those little kids can really swing their hips! too bad I didn't really took videos of the intermissions, I was too busy watching the kids dance, I especially loved the number they had, they danced to the song of He Mele No Lilo from Lilo and stitch. so cute! I wanna share some pics but most of the pics are on my friends' cameras. so I'll definitely share more later...
Chrissy and Jamie
Chrissy and Leona
Meleane and Russel (the celebrant)
party ended up with lots of dancing. All my supervisors and store managers were there dancin' like crazy, it was just fun! can you believe that it's my 1st party (again) in 4 years? I'm so getting old! I've been considered a workaholic (for which I am)... oh well, later peeps, gotta get some sleep now..
have a blessed day everyone!

back to work + other stuff
I am soooo happy. Leona just came back from Hilo a few days ago and before I went home that night our director asked me if I can work overtime on my day off the next day. I really didn't care about the stress anymore, for 6 hours overtime, not bad. I only had one day off yesterday and I spent the whole shopping. I swear I hate this, I've been spending a lot lately and I don't wanna make hubby feel bad. Our first stop was at Borders and Nathan had picked up a spider man book I dragged him quickly out of the store kicking and slapping me in the face smudging my lipstick (oh, dear) but he was just screamin' bloody murder, I tell ya. shopping is therapeutic. but when you have a lil one with you, I doubt if it's anymore therapeutic, I think it's more stressful. I saw this little paragraph at a Reader's digest magazine (JAN 2007) I really see me and my hubby in this lil story here. =)
Walking downtown, I passed an elderly couple holding hands. Utterly charmed, I commented on how delightful it was to see them being so tender at their age.
"I've been holding her hand when we go out for over 30 years," the man told me.
"I have to. If I let go, she shops." - RON BIRD
yay! I think hubby's gonna buy me a laptop. he has his dell card while surfing the dell website last night (eeekk, I'm so excited!) he didn't tell me what he bought just yet, I guess it's a surprise.
hubby, I love you! xoxoxoxoxox
for the love of money
Me and my mom just had a conversation about a family friend long time ago. she was such a sweet friendly girl for may years, but after dumping her long time bf just for a rich british boyfriend it seems like she didn't know anybody at all. she seemed to have everything she wanted, from house, to cars and jewelries. she was a stuck up snob. recently we heard that she robbed her british bf for money according to her relatives. how pathetic.
What goes around comes around
And this neighbor of ours who started out small but became a well off family coz her daughters were half japanese and chinese so they worked in Japan as entertainers. We saw how their life went. they would have their house filled with party guests thru the wee hours of the morning almost everyday, can you imagine that? they didn't care if their neighbors were bothered or not. I just felt sad for the other girl, she was like my auntie since she was a very good friend of one of my aunts. she didn't had any luck with love at all, she became anorexic, had breast cancer, but my mom told me she already had a child but still no husband. BUT as for her family, they lost their house, their money, and oh goodness I think the grandmother is wanted now for drug pushing. their life slowly crumbling down to little pieces. see how life works? God works in mysterious ways and if you don't ever look back from where you came from, expect the worst. It might just hit you hard on the back. I just don't get it why people can be like that? They can be blinded by money and forget the special friends they once had. hmmm... I gotta get ready work. love you all!
have a blessed day everyone!

I feel exhausted.. =/
we Watched Shrek the third last May 18, and It was wonderful! The theatres were packed with family audiences of course. we got to choose good seats, thank goodness. So if you haven't watched Shrek 3 yet, you all must go and see it now, such a hilarious movie! anwyays last night after watching The last mimzy I dropped by Blockbuster to rent a movie, when I parked next to a truck, this guy from the waiting shed came real close to our vehicle and he was like looking at us in a weird way and all that. I got down. rolled the windows up and told my brother to roll his windows up, too and lock the doors. I walked away from our van hoping that this stupid guy would just leave already. my heart thumping so bad, it's better to be safe than sorry coz (ahem) you never know he might have a knife in his hand or what, gahh I'm scared of that! I hurried to the counter if they had the Pan's labyrinth movie but tough luck they were all checked out. so I headed back to the van and asked what did the guy want, It turned out he was only asking if we had any lighter for his cigarettes. =/ blehh..
Customers can really test you to the core sometimes. being in customer service for 4 years I think I've been able to sprout some balls =). Today I had a cashier who cried so bad coz a senior chief cussed at her and yelled at her just because his paper towel rang up wrong. (sigh) the cashier ran to the break room, I finished the rest of the transaction. she was hurt very bad. I understand her coz I had my own experiences, too. we all do, I'm sure. but from time to time I just became immune talking to customers and hearing their complaints. I developed a lil bit of self confidence and I learn a lot from my superiors, I am really thankful to them coz they make me more stronger each day.
Low class?
My fellow co-workers had told me something about this new girl at work, they told me she was a real sassy one and she commented to one of my filipina co-workers that she doesn't mingle with low class people (since her husband's captain), come again? did I hear that right? I suddenly felt the urge to meet this lady. low class, my a**
Oh, lookie.. our video clip for the day:
whenever I am watching a video clip my lil Nathan comes and watches with me, too. that's ate Rose's site we're watching.
I have to get some shut eye, I'm supposed to be off tomorrow but our director asked me to work 6 hours overtime tomorrow. Blessings have been pouring in, thank God. just like what they say: "there's always sunshine after the rain."
have a blessed day everyone!

a Wedneday LO~
Time for a layout. I decided to make an LO last night. while working on my scraps, it's about 12:30 (Oo nga naman, matulog na kami) and my son was bugging me to go to bed already since he wanted to watch his Over the hedge dvd (which he watched a hundred times already, cripes), and I'm like:
"wait a minute.. just hold on.. a few more minutes.. teka lang, anak ko! wait for mama in the bedroom, ok?"
and still later...
he comes out of the room with an angry face and tells me:
"mama! you should turn off that computer right now! I'm waiting but you're not done yet! turn it off! turn it off right now!"
*sigh* what can I say, the boy is so much like his father. everytime I'm in front of my computer my hubby keeps telling me to shut off the pc. The only time I enjoy my scraps are at night when they are asleep or when hubby is at work and Nathan's fast asleep.

happy 24th
I had a wonderful birthday! thank you so much, guys for making it all a great one for me. I baked 2 trays of chocolate cake to take to work the next morning. I didn't really want them to know it was my birthday but somehow the cake gave it away, I guess. the first person gave me such a sweet smelling lei, then the second lei came and then another and so forth. It was so funny coz each person who came to the door just greeted me with hugs and kisses. my supervisor made me a lead at the front end for 2 weeks until they find another lead. so I am supervising the cashiers for now. I miss the cash cage very much, I think it's more stressful not doing anything at all outside than doing a lot of tasks inside the cash room =/. It was so funny, after an hour later someone called me to the lost and found for customer assistance, then all of a sudden I went inside the customer sevice office, and lo and behold, I gasped in disbelief... SURPRISE!!! I almost cried when I saw the boxes of pizzas and sodas inside, they all pitched in and called for a pizza delivery, aww.. those kids were just awesome. I really value all my co-workers, I think that's the price you pay when you are very kind to them. I am so thankful to God for it was a blessed day. the commissary was busy but we get to enjoy my birthday. it was just funny coz my manager was just typing away in the other half of the room never minding the noisy kids hanging around in the office (they're not supposed to, though) but since it was my day they were allowed to play around, I'm tellin' you it was like were havin' a party there! so yeah pictures down below.
with ate Rosary (my fellow lead)

birthday note from Josh and Katie (they actually hung this in the cash count room)
birthday note from Nicole (she hung this up in the customer service office counter.
my pretty, sweet smelling leis
mom cooked pancit. here's the pic almost half done.
chocolate cake, hubby bought it. he said he was suppose to buy candles 2 and 4 but he forgot anyway, that's ok though =P
thank you to all those who gave their warm birthday greetings on my special day, view HERE for my bday greetings and gifts.
thank you Lin for the wonderful gift.. thank you, everyone for all your friendshp. I bid adieu for now, mommy duties here I come!

I need a vacation!
t seems like everybody (majority of my friends, that is) are taking vacations back to the Philippines and I am soooo envious coz I really miss my hometown so bad. I was browsing some Subic bay pictures on the net and I was just so thrilled by looking at them. I myself do not have pictures back in Olongapo city so I took the pleasure of surfing the net giving myself of course a virtual tour of where I once lived (how I miss it so much). how time flies and in just a short time there are lots of new places that had been built in subic. Ohh, it Just brings back lots of memories. I swear, when I am given the chance to go back there-- and even for a short while I will try my best to relive what's on my list:
THINGS TO DO:
1. eat at Sheavens coz this is where we had our very first date Feb. 17, 2002
2. eat at the coffee shoppe a lil fave restaurant of me and hubby. they have the best tacos and barbeques. *yum*
3. go to Ocean view beach resort where we totally got romantic under the sweet moonlight and calm waters of the beach. *sigh*
4. drive around subic bay like what we always do back then.
5. shop in Manila. go see the Mall of Asia.
6. visit Enchanted Kingdom
7. take a trip to the spa.
8. go to the salon.
9. eat at Wimpys Restaurant. a family friend owns this place and we just love their fried rice and pancit there. a childhood favorite place. *drool*
10. visit the bbq place we love close to our street. Jon drives me there like every week.
11. visit Ocean adventure to see the lovely whales and Zoobic safari for the wild animals they had.
12. drop by the little mall they built (once called the night market) by the subic bay gate. it was our favorite tambayan and galaan once with my friends after school and weekends. I'd love to shop for clothes there!
13. visit my friends and hang out with them. I miss them so much!
14. probably go to the beach.
15. shop for pasalubongs for my friends here in Hawaii.
16. take plenty and plenty of pictures!!! fun, fun, fun!
We do have the benefits to fly here and there since hubby works for Continental Cargo but somehow we're not thinking of having our vacation just yet. can you believe it's been 4 years and we hadn't touched our leave ever? yeah, it's that important. but someday I know we'll have our dream vacation and shelling out big bucks ain't our priority just yet. We have 3 places on our list: San Diego, Orlando Florida and the Philippines.
I made one scrap today, thank goodness. quite simple.
