I miss blogging!

It felt like I didn't update for ages, and oh my I just cleaned up a lot of cobwebs here in my blog, so yeah, I just created a christmas header in a matter of hours, I was so tired, after watching smallville season 5 (yep, I went back) around 2:00 am I had to wake up at 5:30 dropped ny husband at the airport, took our van to cutter dodge at Pearl City for it's 6,000 miles check up, and boy it rained all day =D it was hot though, called my dear friend Berlin and we chatted for a little bit coz seriously I was sooo bored, luckily while waiting and chatting with Lin on the phone something brushed at my feet and what do you know, a Himalayan cat! soooooo cute! he reminds me of that cat who played mr. Jinx of meet the parents, It was just adoooorable! It was purring loudly and I gave him a great belly rub, gosh I miss having cats so much, too bad I left my digital camera at home, all I did was took its pictures from my razr phone, I really wanted to show you guys but oh well, maybe next time. =) so yeah, I was driving in the freeway and I just hate it when it's zero visibility, It's so hard to see in the road when water splashes in your windshield and drivers don't give a damn putting on their lights, how stupid is that??? ok, please bear with me for I am catching up with my pending tasks, I wanna finish some for today so this blog will have paid posts here and there, updates in between. more coming ahead, let me just finish some of it...

vicaps

A lot of people around the world suffer from hearing loss and there are about one million people who are deaf in the United States. It's sad if you think about it they wouldn't really be able to enjoy life because of their conditions, but thank goodness for people like vicaps.com they have this subtitle service they offer who can benefit people who have a hard time listening or cannot hear at all, plus it's also a benefit for people who are learning English as a second language, It's a great tool for them to be able to understand the words and at the same time help improve their literacy skills. If you observed most places like gyms, airports, bars and other public places they have the captioning system embedded on most programs and tv sets which has the built-in caption decoder, Where you can't really hear the words coming out of the people's voices on tv it's great to know they have people like Vicaps.com who offer services like these. I may say, It's a really great help to all the people out there. Visit their website and read the FAQ's to help you understand better what their closed captioning service has to offer.

mattress woes

Seriously, eversince we moved out of my mother-in-law's house and started living on our own my husband always complains about his back, he gets back pains almost everyday, I try my best to give him a good massage after work or when he requests it. But somehow my hands can only relieve his pain temporarily. The poor guy, I feel so bad for him, back in my mother-in-law's home we always sleep on the floor with his foam mattress and I didn't really see him complain about his back at all. I usually tell him to sleep on his sides just like I do and I never have back pains ever. Oh well, it didn't work out for him so he ends up not getting a perfect sleep at night. It's just when we inherited my sister-in-law's hand me down bed which was perfectly fit when we got it, but I don't know It's been a few years already and I think our bed is really worn out I think we badly need a new one now, so I began checking what are the best mattresses that I can find, and I am so happy to see that bedinabox.com has this kind of foam mattress that is elegant and simple yet affordable, now that's what I like, because you all know I have to stick to my budget on the right mattress that can help me and my family sleep well and at the same time save us some bigger bucks in the future when we ever decide to buy one. Now, check out their website they have 24 reasons why you have to buy their mattress and I'm telling you It's very convincing and it sounds really good, maybe I'll make a go for it. see for yourself, their foams is made from Pluracel Vx™ foam, to know more about their product, please visit bedinabox.com or you can call them at Toll Free: 1-800-588-5720.

you're Volcom

I hate to admit it as much as I am not a fan of a really, really cold weather I am very fond of snow but believe it or not I have never experienced snow. Here in Hawaii, some Mountains like Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea and Haleakala can have snow but I think It melts pretty easily. Since we live in a tropical Island of Oahu we only experience warm tropical weather the entire year round, which is good because we won't have to deal with buying expensive winter clothing, dealing with thick layers of snow and getting frostbite for that matter. But seriously, one day I would love to be bundled up with thicker warm clothes like volcom clothing at Moosejaw.com. They have clothing for men and women, They have selections from hoodies, jackets, shirts, pants and sweaters. This is perfect for places that are starting to have snow, and for the Holidays I think it's a great idea to buy your friend or loved one one of these. so check it out!

Math for kids

I am not a fan of Math ever! no, seriously I'm really not into that subject at all. I struggled so much in that subject my mom had to get me a tutor for it, but I'm so happy I passed that subject with flying colors because It's really hard for me, I am more of an artsy kind of person so Math isn't really one of my favorite subjects. As much as possible I am getting my son to like Math no matter what, make it more fun for him so he can be interested and not bored, my father-in-law and sister-in-law are math wizards and I'm telling you they are so good at it, so I am so hoping one day my son would get that talent in numbers one day. How about your child? does he need serious help with Math? no problem, there are Math Tutors available at Score educational centers. Help your child by enrolling them in one of their centers. They can help build your child's inner Math skills by making it more fun, in that way they can learn faster and better. Check out the locations near you and see if Score can be a big help to you and your child.

miracle burn

These days more and more diet pills are coming out and it's being a great fad for the young and the old. I myself is tempted to buy one myself, but my head suddenly stops and thinks about the pros and cons of diet pills. I asked myself one time, Is it really worth it? I also asked my dear husband to help me find that real diet pill that works. But if you don't think about it now how are you gonna be sure that diet pill on the shelf you are looking at right now works? I am kinda scared when it comes to drinking all kinds of pills, especially diets.. some works, some don't. You just get this jitters, you want to back out and not buy it at all. Listen here, You gotta at least read more information on that product or maybe consult your doctor for the right one, we all have different body chemistries and that diet pill that is good for that person might not be good to you at all. Look at the Miracle burn product at dietawarenessinstitute.org, you have to read all about it there and see if it's really for you. Read the reviews about this diet supplement, it's very helpful it teaches you a lot of things about it. so, visit their website now and see for yourself!

need new lightings?

I love looking at lights, especially uniquely designed ones from every house, even when we first looked at our rented unit, I just loved the way it was designed, it was more elegant than the studio type we rented back in the seventh floor of our building. When we buy a house someday, I would love to have some elegant classy designed lightings inside and outside of my home, give it a fresh and cozy look, I love mixing modern and classic types of designs. I am sure you would love to look at what they have at lighting stores like LightingShowPlace.com. Browse their selections, either for indoors or outdoors I am pretty sure confident you will find what you need in this store, it's so awesome, all these ideas are spinning in my head now deciding for what would go in our future home, hubby will leave the designing with me, of course. Maybe you'd like some lamps or wall lanterns, or maybe a gorgeous looking chandelier in front of the living room, that would be so nice. check it out, people you won't regret it.

OMG! @__@

We were having some trouble with the system early yesterday, 2 of of my work associates (a filipina and a korean) were trying to figure out what had happened that night before, while they were discussing it in front of the admin's lead supervisory associate they were arguing in a rude matter, shouting and all I felt like I'm in a middle of a cheese sandwich, I wanted them to stop! I was also explaining a few matters to her, a few hours later they made up but then a surprise came up to them, an Employee Disciplinary Action letter was sent to them because of their behavior earlier at work. According to the letter they are going to be separated from their each other working different shifts. I love them very much but somehow they are totally different from each other, when I work with them they are like cats and dogs, there aren't any harmony in the room coz they can't stand each other when they work together. they fight, then later they make up. oh, brother.

take me to rehab

miracles (part1)

I just watched The Invisible last night, didn't really get to watch this at the dollar movie a few months ago. anyways, It's a pretty sad story. I enjoyed it, of course. What I loved about the movie when Nick as a ghost started to fall in love with the rebellious Annie Newton. She did a lot of things to Nick yet Nick didn't give up on her. He stood by her until the last minute. and what's really interesting about the story was when Annie cuddled besides Nick's unconscious body at the Hospital they finally met, he came back into his body and Annie was ready to depart her body. aww, that made me cry a little... (emotional me) =D me and my mom were talking about the Invisible then all of a sudden I asked her if she remembered the day I was hospitalized that I had at least 12 hours to live, I was very dehydrated my fingers started to go black, some of you know that story I posted a few months back. I also remembered this lil kitten I had, among all the batch of kittens that I had that lil one was the sweetest, tamest kitty of all. When I got sick the lil kitten became sick, too... my mom took me to the clinic, but then I couldn't walk further no more so she dragged me to the nearest hospital at Afable hospital the street where my hubby lives, It was a private hospital so we did pay a lot for it after. The doctor gasped in disbelief and informed my mom I came just in the nick of time, I only had 12 hours more to live... for about 3 days in the Hospital I finally got discharged, when I came home I was looking for my lil kitten, then our family helper at home told me that the kitten was so skinny and sick she died 3 days ago.. then she said to my mom the kitten saved my life, my eyes grew wattery coz I loved that kitten very much and I didn't even get to say goodbye to her, I mourned for a quite a long time. It's hard to believe, I know... It was probably God's plan to take the kitten instead of me, this is like a second life for me, I guess God has his own plans for me, he didn't let me go coz I still have a lot ahead of me...

And my mom also shared a story just like mine, It was totally different though.. I was a toddler back then when a family friend was pregnant, just days before she had gone into labor her favorite cat whom she dearly loved died, and she kept on telling her husband to bury the cat because ants and all kinds of bugs where feasting on the corpse for days. a few days later, she went into labor and after giving birth to her 3rd child, she died. but what's really weird about it is when she died they saw the cat brought back to life, healthy and all. The cat stood under the coffin at the funeral and didn't leave at all. everyone was horrified, couldn't believe their eyes. weird huh? It's hard to believe but I know things like these occur in our lives. Things like these happen to let people know there really is a God, we can't hear or see him but he wants us to know that he is here with us.

I gotta go to work now. see ya all later!

reading a problem?

Reading is such a big thing to me, I love reading very much eversince I learned how to read when I was around 3 or 4 I think, So right now I am doing everything I can with my 4 year old, It's tough being a working mommy, because before and after work I have to make sure I teach my son to read, It's really hard because my son I remember I had a classmate back in gradeschool in the 4th grade, he would be the only person standing up because he couldn't read a single word in a book, I felt very bad for him at that time. If you have any children who aren't good at reading the Reading Tutors at Escore.com can be able to help them boost their reading skills. Children don't like boring tutors, and they don't like boring lessons, to help them become at ease with themselves and become interested in reading the people at Score can help fulfill that. We all know Children loves to have fun while learning, so help your child discover their inner skills especially with reading, Let it be Score!

great monday

hubby surprised me last night with 2 dvd's, he actually went in to get a month's movie pass coz he sure knows how a movie freak I am. so yeah, movie marathon, baby! I loved 1408, creeped me out a bit, imagine having a room like that in some hotel, brrrr give me the shivers. I don't even want to think about it. It's a nice movie, one of Stephen King's stories I just love Stephen King =). So is Evan Almighty, what a wacky movie... I just love the part how the birdies pooped all at the same time at congressman chuck Long hahaa, hilarious! and of course the A-R-K, One Act, of, Random, Kindness...

So how are we doing today? I myself is doing pretty good, thank you. me and hubby watched some dvd's today, surf's up and the season 6 of SMALLVILLE! wooohoooo I just love the new season, it's getting better and better (sigh) can't get enough of it. I just wanna share some pics.

What is it, you asked? why It's Poi, and it's delicious (yum) you can read all about it at this site

It's my first time eating it eversince I came to Hawaii, to some people that aren't from here it's yucky tasting, for me It's not bad since I love potatoes and Taro (gabi) It tastes much better with coconut milk and sugar it's a wee bit like ginataan. hubby came from work with that huge bag and you and a small bag of Poi from local stores here are soooo darn expensive. anyways, we grocery shopped at Pacific Market (asian store) yesterday at Waipahu, I just had to take a quick snap at the birds who just flew from the top, once in awhile birds can get in stores and have the time of their life. when a loved one says good bye...

Had you ever experienced a loved one doing weird stuff all of a sudden? When you know that they weren't really like that in the first place? you know like one day they would be so jolly and start doing some nice things for a change? I know it sounds weird. because yesterday my friend at work was worried about her father coz when she fetched him at the airport an oriental lady walked pass behind him slamming him on the floor (some people just don't know the meaning of excuse me) he was about 78 years old and he was badly hurt from his knee, hips and arm. Em was really worried about her father, because she was so surprised to see him not active at all since he was hurt by that incident. And she was surprised that her dad had to visit her in such a short notice, she got really teary eyed saying: "That's not my dad. that's not my dad. Oh my God, is he saying good bye to me??" we told her to either call in sick or pass her leave form for the whole week so she can spend a lot of time with her dad, first of all he is her father who was hurt and needs company coz you never know what will happen to him. I'm so glad she got approved for her leave she don't have to worry about her shift since it's gonna be covered anyway.

remember the post i had about my MIL's sister who passed away at her home by herself? well, as from what my MIL remembers, before she left for Hawaii her sister visited her one day and wanted to spend a lot of time with her siblings, my MIL said she was such a happy person that day, very jolly and not an ounce of anger anywhere in her face. my MIL was very surprised on how her sister had changed since she really wasn't that way. why all of a sudden? she didn't think of death or anything, she was just glad that her sister was happy. until that day when we had an email from my FIL, my mom called the PHilippines right away and heard the bad news, then after the call minutes later the phone rang and you know the story of course, static sounds was all we heard. we know there and then that it was my MIL's sister saying goodbye to her...

Life is so precious, life is so short... we need to take that chance to spend every bit of our life with our loved ones, coz you never know when they will say good bye...

termites, be gone!

No, we don't have termites here, thank God! since our condo has the pest control visit us every quarter and sprays a small amount on wooden cabinet screws around the unit. Oh my goodness, I hate termites! I'm sure we all hate those tiny little white ant like creatures that creates dens under wooden houses. We had an experience with our up and down 3 bedroom 2 bath house back in the Philippines, we rented that house for about 7 years, It was such a wonderful house until one day my dad's foot crashed down our upper floor, and boy was he mad! every single day our wooden floors on the upper part of the house would break like potato chips, it wasn't even funny anymore. and somehow the pest control's termite poison didn't even work, the termites would work around the closets where our clothes were stored, how disgusting. Now, if you need help getting rid of termites, fear no more killthetermites.com will be able to help you, it's an online guide on how to get rid of termites, it includes a lot on information on how to get rid of those litle pesky creatures that ruins your lovely home. Read the basics from how to tell if your home is infested and how termite control product works, which has the advantages and disadvanatges of which one are. see what termites look like, browse the pictures in order to indentify if they really are termites. It's very interesting to read, you'll be able to gather a lot of information regarding this matter to see if you really have the termite symptoms.

darn it!

I can't believe I missed out on a lot these past few days. I didn't get to bloghop much, missed out on a lot of opps, didn't get to scrap... and I feel so miserable =/ yoohooo where's all the people? I feel like a boring person. I was just gone a few days and ta-da.. not much happened. I am so irritated! I was yelling a lot at my son lately coz he's being such a lazy boy, there are times that he catches up with his lessons really quick, there are also times when he plays dumb, and I don't like that. I cried a bit last night and he asked why I was crying, I had to do a heart to heart talk with him, I was feeling depressed and emotional and just this morning I saw my period has visited me again... I just finished last week?! I remember my supervisor being like this, when she stresses her period lasts for about a month. mine stops and comes back, man, did anyone experience this already? I don't want to go to the doctor... oh, Please God give me the strength... and the reason why I didn't hop on the pc for a few days whenever I came home from work I have the urge to surf the net and I wanna blog about a lot of things, but then when I open my monitor my eyes would really hurt so bad, I think I'm starting to have eye problems (ugh pls no) I'd turn it off and just cuddle up with my hubbykins and my son. We use computers at work then when we come home we still have to face the computer screen. I think it's about time I go to sleep early, can't help it coz I am a nocturnal person like everybody else. I have to stop taking advantage of myself and I need to start exercising again, make myself feel good. =) too much of a good thing is bad sometimes, we have to learn how to sit down and do something else for a change.

sorry, guys whenever I have my period I rant a lot, I burst out... I don't want to keep it in. I feel so emotional..please bear with me for I know this will go away soon.. I'll close my comment box for now.. I'm really really sorry. (sigh) I have to catch up on your blogs later, for now I need to focus on some things first.

Decided to meet after a few text messages. He fetched me for our 1st date and ate at BO. Barretto in subic, ate at this beach restaurant, at Sheavens. It was such a romantic place to have a dinner date with, dinner by the beach...

3. hard working, loving husband, very caring, humorous, a responsible father, conservative, looks suplado, quiet when we go out, but loves to fool around and play with his family when he's at home. loves to eat of course, he looks a bit shy at first, but when you get to know him he's a great, funny man after all. =) he loves to spoil us hehee. he has no vices of whatsoever, he just loves to watch tv, play video games with his ps2 and watch movies (movie and dvd fanatic) he loves to sing and listen to music, he's a travel oriented person (loves to go out), loves to shop (mostly electronics) he sometimes cook for us and he's stubborn sometimes... all in all he's a real person, he doesn't hold any grudges to anyone at all. that's why I love him... my hubbykins...

4. that's a really long time there, I asked hubby about that and he said he wants to open up a bar restaurant someday back in the Philippines or maybe a place like the jamba juice we have here, nutricious drinks that people will love. there's still other plans but we still don't know yet.

7 Truths About Me

1. I am very anal about opened closets or doors, or when my toes aren't inside the blanket, I just hate it I don't know why.

2. I easily get jealous when it comes to friends. I looked up the astrology of my sign and birthdate, it's true. =/

happy Tuesday, peeps!

1. Be the person next door or the fantasy person that appears unattainable? (explain)
- Well, as much as I hate to admit it sometimes I want to get a chance to be the person next door, and please I don't want to be a person that appears unattainable.. it's just not me, I guess.

2. Lie to maintain a “goody-goody” rep or not care what people thought about you? (explain)
-I've never lied to bee a "goody-goody" all my life. what you see is what you get. I don't hold anything back, because eversince I've grown into what I am right now I learned that I really don't have to care about what other thinks about me, this is me and they should accept me for what I am.

3.Go back in time to undo your mistakes or deal with the mistakes and learn from it? (explain)
-I say deal with the mistakes and learn from it. I always think of the things I had done in the past, and how I would love to change them in a heartbeat. but all of a sudden I changed my mind, I guess learning from your mistakes is better, that way you grow into a stronger patient person, coz once in your life you have experienced the things you regret and from there it'll serve as a lesson and you will get to share it to everyone else.

4. Be friends with people that make you look good or people that make you appear to have an edge? (explain)
-Both, I guess. It depends though if the people are good or bad influence, If they're nice people, I guess it would make me look good =D

5. Stay friends with a person that betrays you or break it off and not give her/him another chance? (explain)
- I dislike having enemies eversince I was young. and I always give friends a second chance, if they continue to betray me and lose my trust I guess it's always best to let go of that person coz you know it aint good trusting a snake after everything you have done for that person.

Stephen King, everybody!

I'm such a huge fan of Stephen King, even the whole family loves him, too. I remember when I was younger we would watch his movies like Carrie, The Shining and Misery just to name a few but our favorites would be Pet Sematary and Sleepwalkers, Should I just say I loved these movies because the characters were focused on cats being killers? anwyays, I remember every Halloween night our daddy would turn it on a channel showing Stephen Film Flicks and those were my very favorites, too. It's like a traditional thing for the family to watch even one Stephen King movie on tv. I never get tired watching his films, he's such a great writer. It's been a long time since I've watched one of his films, but hey wait a minute there is a new one coming out in theatres on November 21st, I just saw the trailer on tv a few days ago , The Mist by Stephen King looks like a great movie to me, I love movies like these it just keeps you glued to your seat and you you just want to know what is going to happen next. After a storm that just hit the town of Maine, a very strange Mist covered the whole area, a lot of people got stuck in a little grocery store. Among the people were David Drayton and his son who's about 5 years old were inside. Until later on they found out that there were strange horrifying creatures flying about the Mist. And what's worse about it is it eats human flesh. If you haven't watched the trailer yet, I suggest you do so. Wow, I think this is going to be an awesome movie, giant creatures eat humans, how lovely. Stephen King has a big imagination and he knows how to capture people's fear inside. I am definitely watching this, can't wait for that movie to come out.

spooky stories..

It was the morning of November 2nd, I was on the computer my mom was cooking in the kitchen when she suddenly called me and told me something that happened the day before. On November 1 we just lighted a candle, mom made malagkit (sweet rice cake) and served a small portion on a plate as well as water, that's how we practice it back in the Philippines, we light a candle outside or inside the room and serve food usually pancit, rice cake, boiled egg and water in one corner of the room where spirits who pass by will feast on it.

So anyway, she reenacted what happened. she usually looks out the window when she has nothing to do during the day, she loves the view from our window, lots of interesting things to gaze at. so when she approached the window she suddenly heard the computer turned on by itself. a loud click went on, then followed by small sounds of clicking noises of the keyboard. Then she carefully looked at the monitor, it was really opened! because the whole day nobody opened it at all, my hubby and my son were both asleep, she reassured herself so she peeked in the bedroom where Jon and Nathan were both fast asleep, snoring and all. she was so creeped out she went back to the Computer and turned off the monitor. We all concluded that maybe it was my Sister-in-law, my hubby's sister who died in a car accident back in 1990, she probably visited her brother and decided to use the computer heheee. I just wish I could meet her, but I know somewhere, wherever she might be she's looking out after us. I kept asking hubby if ever she was still alive today, would she ever approve to be my SIL? It's so funny, I am so thankful for my hubby's grandparents they didn't show themselves to me, or else I'd probably have a heart attack =D

Other experiences was when my MIL's sister passed away she couldn't get a flight back home in the Philippines right away, that 2:30 am while my MIL was crying I was comforting her with a blanket the landline phone suddenly rang, and I tell you at 2:30 am who the heck would call us at that time? so I said 'hello' but the other line was very staticky like kssshhhhkk...ksshhhhkk... sound, my MIL heard it too and boy, we had goosebumps after putting the phone down. We know it was her sister saying goodbye to her.

One time, when we were younger we had 2 helpers in the house, plus 2 kids who stays with their mom. It was All souls day, that night we were all happily chatting away and eating all of a sudden we heard loud footsteps upstairs, we thought the kids were up already but the other helper said it's impossible coz she just made them sleep already, so We quietly went upstairs ...oh boy just to find out the kids were sleeping, yiiikes! we ran downstairs as fast as we could! then we realized it might be our lolo (grandfather) and we also realized we forgot to serve food that day in one corner, we hurriedly scooped a little bit of pancit and water and lit up a candle. and yeah, we also have an extra empty room in the house. =D

When my hubby's cousin visited us a few months ago from San Diego, she told us her brother reported that back in hubby's home in Olongapo, a neighbor who owns a store right in front of their house saw a figure of an old man standing in front of the large windows, and it didn't last for a few seconds or minutes but hours. imagine that? me and hubby were totally spooked out, since I lived in that 3 story house for about a year, thank God I didn't experience any paranormal stuff over there. It's a pretty old house, when my husband was there the house was alive, we always had music in the house, but when we left my son lived there for about 2 yrs, but when my son came home the house is always empty and no loud noises and laughs from everyone since everybody is busy with work and stuff. We just think it mght be my hubby's lolo visiting the house once again, I remember when my 3 yr old nephew was there for a vacation, he usually comes up to the 3rd floor then he screamed soooo loud, he said he saw an old woman floating up in the air smiling at him, I think it might be hubby's lola (grandmother)

ok, I gotta head off to work, I'm still working on my gift section and some other things, take care everyone! thank you for all the comments on my previous entry. have a blessed day to all!

poor dolphins

man, I just finished watching 'Heroes' star Hayden P. in a video about a dolphin protest at yahoo today. I am so badly hurt why they have to continue catching and killing dolphins. I know some might not even care about this but it really stabbed my heart, I really feel what Hayden's feeling right now... eversince I watched that dolphin hunt video from Japan a long time ago, it struck me so bad to see how they killed them, waters were deep red from the killing, I cried so bad in front of my computer for that was my first time watching such animal cruelty.. oh my, I know how people struggle from starvation.. but killing dolphins? I don't know... I just feel so sad when I watched that video today, especially how the japanese fishermen where shooing away the protesters in surfboards. Why don't they have a law for that? I just wish one day they can feel whatever they do to Dolphins. I'm sorry, I'm just filled with anger and sadness right now. but what can we do? =( I wonder what's next, human flesh in the market. ugh.
